γδ T cells are a unique group of T lymphocytes, which play an indispensable role in host defense, immune surveillance and immune response. More and more experimental and clinical data indicate that γδ T cells are related to the occurrence and development of a variety of immune diseases. This article reviews the participation and role of γδ T cells in ulcerative colitis to provide reference for drug development and targeted therapy.
