COVID-19 had an important impact on many industries since the global pandemic began. As an industry with a close international division of labor and cooperation, API depends on imports and export highly. The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the stability of the API supply chain. Major countries around the world are actively formulating policies, strategies, and countermeasures to restructure their supply chains and take the lead in API prices. This paper analyzes a series of measures that South Korea, the United States, India, the European Union, and other countries are expected to take in the near and future, so as to provide a reference for China to formulate relevant policies on the API supply chain. It is hoped that China can ensure the diversification of the API supply chain and keep the supply chain stable.
