Study on Mongolian Medicine with the Medical Anthropology Theory and Method

医学人类学是研究疾病、健康与文化及医疗行为等,以病人对疾病的社会心理反应为重心的一门学科。运用医学人类学理论与方法研究蒙医药,探究患者、健康、治疗、社会制度以及文化之间的内在联系,加强蒙医药工作者对生命本身及其活动的再认识,以及理解和诠释诸多传统命题如人性、个体性、亲属关系等经典感念。

Medical anthropology is the study of disease, health, culture and medical behavior, focusing on the patient’s social and psychological response to disease. The theory and method of medical anthropology are used to study Mongolian medicine, to explore the complex internal relations between patients, health, treatment, social system and culture, to strengthen the re-understanding of Mongolian medicine workers on life itself and its activities, and to understand and interpret many traditional propositions such as human nature, individuality, kinship and so on.
