摘要
“天使”与“肚脐”这两个意象在米兰?昆德拉2014年的最新之作《庆祝无意义》中频繁出现。“天使”联系到的是夏尔的母亲,而“肚脐”引发的是阿兰对其母亲的回忆。但昆德拉借这两个意象向我们展示的却是两个完全相反的法国女性形象:温顺善良与勇敢独立。本文试从“天使”与“肚脐”的角度出发来探讨其隐喻之下的法国女性形象,从而对女性身份地位与思想的变化做出思考。
“Angel” and “navel”, appear frequently in Milan Kundera’s latest work La Fête de l’Insignifiance (Celebrating Insignificance in English, 2014). “Angel” concerns Shire’s mother while “navel” trig-gers Alain’s memory to his mother. However, two kinds of French female images with totally dif-ferent characteristics are presented by Kundera: kind and submissive vs. independent and brave. The aim of this paper is to explore French female images by analyzing the metaphorical meanings of “angel” and “navel” and meanwhile reflect on the changes occurring in female identity and thought.
