文学叙事与电影叙事——以《在切瑟尔海滩上》为例

Literary Narration and Cinematic Narration—A Case Study on On Chesil Beach

叙事是连接文学原著与改编电影的桥梁,但因文学与电影依托的媒介不同,前者依赖于文字,后者依赖于声像,使得文学叙事与电影叙事又存在着差别。《在切瑟尔海滩上》的原著与电影为读者及观众呈现了两种截然不同而又各具魅力的叙事策略。通过分析该改编电影中叙事视角的重置、叙事时空的转换及叙事情节的重构,可以看出文学叙事与电影叙事既相互关联,又独具特色。两种叙事方式并无优劣之分,共同为读者及观众呈现别样的艺术形式,带来不同的审美体验。

Narration is the bridge connecting original literary works and adapted films.However,due to the different media that literature and films rely on,with the former relying on words,while the latter relying on sound and image,there are differences between literary narration and cinematic narration.The original novel On Chesil Beach and its film adaptation present two distinct and attractive narrative strategies for readers and audience.It can be seen that literary narration and cinematic narration are both interrelated and unique by analyzing the resetting of narrative perspective,the transformation of narrative time and space,as well as the reconstruction of narrative plot in the film adaptation.These two strategies jointly present different art forms and bring different aesthetic experience to readers and audience.
