The pursuit of happiness is the eternal theme of human beings. Whether it is the original living and working in peace or the present freedom to lie down, both are different answers to happiness. People have never stopped fighting for happiness and hope to reach the other shore of happiness as soon as possible. Although the reality is long, the writing can be first. The English writer Huxley described for us a future world 600 years ago, where people can finally free themselves from food and clothing, free from the “misfortune” of life, but behind this happiness is “devoid of humanity”. All people are “happy”, that is, forced happiness. Such a life makes the reader reflect on whether the right to be “unhappy” is happiness. Literature helps people understand themselves. This paper tries to make people deeply understand the true spirit of happiness and value pursuit by analyzing the alienation phenomenon in Brave New World.
