《在路上》是美国“垮掉的一代”作家杰克•凯鲁亚克创作的长篇小说,主要讲述了一群年轻人穿越美洲大陆的旅行故事。在旅行过程中,这群青年们行为放荡不羁,他们沉溺于酒精、性欲、爵士乐等等,度过了一段离经叛道的疯狂时光。小说带有浓厚的后现代主义色彩,因此本文从后现代主义的基本特征:不确定性入手,围绕主题的不确定性、情节的不确定性以及人物的不确定性三个主要方面分析研究文本。挖掘作品深层次内涵,帮助读者更好地了解小说的后现代性,有利于读者更加全面地理解小说的重要意义。
On the Road is a novel by American Beat writer Jack Kerouac, which tells the story of a group of young people traveling across the American continent. During the trip, this group of young people behaves in a wild way, indulging in alcohol, sex, jazz, etc., and having a crazy time of deviating from the norm. The novel has a strong post-modernism color. Therefore, this paper analyzes the novel from the basic characteristics of postmodernism: uncertainty. It mainly starts from three aspects: the uncertainty of theme, plot and character. This paper aims to excavate the deep connotation of the novel and help readers to better understand the post-modernity of the novel, which is beneficial for readers to understand the significance of the novel more comprehensively.
