20世纪末,随着商品经济的迅速发展,毕飞宇开始转向对人的生存境遇与现状的观察与思考。他善于观察生活细节,敏锐地捕捉时代变迁中人们内心的冲突与矛盾,《大雨如注》和《两瓶酒》中截取了现实生活的横断面,通过对个体及个体之间人际关系焦虑、异化地书写,表现现代社会人与人之间的低温关系。
