摘要
目的:通过对来华留学生进行定性访谈,了解来华留学生在学习和生活中的困境。方法:选择定性访谈的方式对13名在华留学生进行深入访谈,同时采用主题分析的方式进行数据分析。结果:留学生遇到的困境包括:1) “外国人”身份;2) 教育体制上的不同;3) 文化和宗教传统的差异;4) 语言的障碍;5) 生活方式的差异;6) 专业发展的限制;7) 心理上的调试困境;8) 缺乏社会联结。结论:来华留学生遇到的困境反应了我国留学生教育和服务质量有待提高,未来的教育服务需要提升语言培训,关注来华留学生职业发展,同时发展中国特色的来华留学生教育,同时要加强对话,并尊重和支持对方的文化、宗教传统,以帮助留学生心理和文化身份认同的发展。
Purpose:Through the qualitative interview with the international students in China,the present study is trying to understand the difficulties in their lives and studies.Methods:Qualitatively inter-view 13 international students in China and analyze the data by thematic analysis.Results:The difficulties of these international students are:1)“Foreigner”identity;2)The differences in education systems;3)The differences in cultures and religious traditions;4)Language barriers;5)The differences in life styles;6)Limitations on career development;7)Psychological adjustment difficulties;8)Lack of social connection.Conclusions:The international students’difficulties reflect that the education on international students in China and its service quality need to be improved through strengthening the language training,emphasizing their career developments,developing the education on international students with Chinese characteristics,respecting and supporting their cultures and religious traditions.All those efforts can help them to improve their mental states,culture identities and self-identities.
