摘要 本文旨在探讨人工智能ChatGPT嵌入高校外语学习与教学中的期望与潜在危险。随着科技的迅猛发展,ChatGPT在外语教育领域的应用日益广泛,为教学和学习方式带来了革命性的变革。本文首先介绍了ChatGPT这一人工智能模型,进而分析了ChatGPT在外语学习的应用,包括个性化学习路径的定制、学习资源的优化推荐以及学习效率的显著提升等。也关注了ChatGPT在教学中的应用,如智能化评估系统的建立、教师工作负担的减轻以及教学模式的创新等。但是ChatGPT的嵌入也带来了一系列潜在的危险,包括数据隐私与安全问题、学习者的技术依赖问题以及教育公平性的挑战等,同时,ChatGPT可能导致的教师角色的边缘化以及教学内容单一化等问题。通过对ChatGPT嵌入高校外语学习与教学的期望与危险的透视,本文旨在引发对ChatGPT在外语教育领域应用的深入思考,以期在充分利用其优势的同时,有效规避潜在风险,推动外语教育的健康发展,这对于高校外语教育决策者、教师以及学习者都具有重要的参考价值。 This article aims to explore the expectations and potential dangers of integrating artificial intelligence ChatGPT into foreign language learning and teaching in universities. With the rapid development of technology, the application of ChatGPT in the field of foreign language education is becoming increasingly widespread, bringing about revolutionary changes in teaching and learning methods. This article first introduces the ChatGPT artificial intelligence model, and then analyzes its applications in foreign language learning, including personalized learning path customization, optimized recommendation of learning resources, and significant improvement in learning efficiency. It also focuses on ChatGPT’s applications in teaching, such as the establishment of intelligent assessment systems, the reduction of teachers’ workload, and the innovation of teaching models. However, the integration of ChatGPT also brings a series of potential dangers, including data privacy and security issues, learners’ dependence on technology, challenges to educational equity, and the marginalization of teachers’ roles and the homogenization of teaching content that ChatGPT may cause. Through the perspective of the expectations and dangers of ChatGPT’s integration into university foreign language learning and teaching, this article aims to stimulate in-depth thinking about ChatGPT’s application in the field of foreign language education, with a view to effectively avoiding potential risks while fully utilizing its advantages, promoting the healthy development of foreign language education, which has important reference value for foreign language education decision-makers, teachers, and learners in universities.
