张紫晨先生是我国著名的民俗学家、民间文艺学家。其在《民间文艺学原理》中,将民间文艺学分为民间文学基本原理、搜集整理方法论、传承学、分类学、体裁学、美学、信息学及民间文艺史学等八个大的部分,初步形成了一个比较完整的体系,对民间文艺学这个学科的性质、特征、历史、现状及各项研究做了比较系统全面的论述,从而在总体上把握民间文艺学这个学科,将它系统化、理论化和科学化,对民间文艺学的研究具有重要的开拓作用。
