This work addresses interference: it is the information waves which interfere; the particles follow their roadmap, and the measurement of their coordinates introduces an additional uncertainty into the momentum. It is not particles (matter) which manifest these wave properties but fluctuations of the physical space-time coordinates. Physical characteristics corresponding to the fluctuating variables, energy, momentum, etc., determine the magnitude of the respective fluctuations rather than the wave properties of matter. Matter possesses no wave properties. This work also discusses the difference between the objective information and knowledge.展开更多

Plants are fixed on the ground, cannot actively escape from the external hazards, and thus relies on some of their own response mechanism to defend against various external stress. Due to the limited responsiveness of the plants, the negative entropy operation of the open system is hindered, which results in the death of plants in a large number.Epigenetic regulation plays an important role in this response mechanism, mainly in DNA methylation, histone modification, chromatin remodeling, and noncoding RNA. In this paper, the regulation mechanism of epigenetic modification under various stresses and the analysis of entropy were reviewed, providing a basis for the study of crop resistance.展开更多

Five small islands in the Spermonde archipelago, South Sulawesi, in Indonesia, were selected to measure the reflectance spectral of benthic communities. The objective of this study was to determine optical properties of the live corals, dead corals covered with algae, coral rubber covered with algae, broken shell, sand, seagrass and macro algae. Pearson correlation coefficient and cluster analysis were used to determine spectral similarity in and among coral species based on spectral responses at observed wavelengths and to examine the similarities between the categories. Several benthic communities appear to be highly correlated with one another when the entire spectrum is considered, which may lead to classification errors. Porites meyeri, dead corals and coral rubber (〉 3 months ago) share a high degree of similarity in reflectance. The other coastal benthic communities are readily discriminated.展开更多

Using plant colors for landscape design, one must first understand the composition and function performance of various colors. Only following the basic art principle can we achieve the ideal color combination effect to create all kinds of beautiful landscape. This paper analyzes the color connotation and meaning first, and then elaborates the color applications in landscape design.展开更多

This gives rise to advance in its deformation development under loading as well as allows using this phenomenon to sense the strain induced structure changes. It is of specific importance for composite materials since they are highly heterogeneous while estimating their mechanical state is a topical applied problem. Fatigue tests of carbon fiber compo- site specimens were carried out for cyclic deformation estimation with the use of strain sensors made of thin (80 jam) alumi- num foil glued to the specimen's surface. The surface images were captured by DSLR camera mounted onto an optical micro- scope. Strain relief to form during cyclic loading was numerically estimated using different parameters: dispersion, mean square error, universal image quality index, fractal dimension and energy of Fourier spectrum. The results are discussed in view of deformation mismatch in thin foil and bulk specimen and are offered to be applied for the development of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) approach.展开更多
