Since its inception, CDA has garnered widespread attention from scholars both domestically and internationally, leading to a wealth of research findings. CiteSpace, a widely used literature visualization tool, helps researchers uncover relationships and development trends within the literature. Based on CiteSpace visual bibliometric analysis, this paper analyzes and organizes literature related to CDA produced over the past five years (2019~2023). The Chinese literature, comprising 116 articles, was sourced from CSSCI and core journals, while the 127 foreign articles were sourced from the Web of Science core collection. Through a comprehensive analysis of the keywords, co-citation networks, research themes, and research methods in CDA literature from both domestic and international sources, this study provides reference insights for the key directions and research paths of CDA research in China.展开更多

It has become a central category in critical discourse analysis. Based on a close reading of Foucault’s and Fairclough’s works, the study presents and compares the definitions and elucidations they give, attempting to illuminate the theoretical development of this category. Foucault stresses the external and internal forces that serve to control discourse and the constraints upon speaking subjects, while Fairclough develops the theory of order of discourse, suggesting that orders of discourse are dynamic systems open to change, and they reflect and construct social order. Furthermore, the paper gives a brief review of research on order of discourse abroad and at home, discussing how the category is interpreted and how relevant studies are conducted. It is hoped that this study will provide possible help for future research on order of discourse.展开更多
