Through an in-depth analysis of the current development and issues in China’s affordable rental housing sector, the paper focuses on the systemic financial risks that may arise due to inadequate market mechanisms and insufficient regulation. Drawing lessons from the collapse of South Korea’s jeonse housing market, it emphasizes the importance of protecting tenant rights and maintaining social stability. The paper explores various aspects, including policy implementation challenges, market mechanism flaws, and financial risk prevention, and proposes comprehensive coping strategies. It underscores the need to balance social welfare with financial risk prevention and cautions against short-sighted policies that neglect long-term development. Finally, the paper calls for systematic policy design and effective market regulation to establish a sustainable housing security mechanism, ensuring residents have stable housing and promoting social harmony and stability.展开更多
