Methods: The patients with schizophrenia treated respectively by haloperidol and risperidone were compared by double blind method. The General Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI) was used to evaluate the life quality, while the Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale (PANSS) and the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) were used to assess the efficacy and side effects. Results: The risperidone group showed better effects than the haloperidol group in the domains of physical function ,mental health and social function The difference was significant (P<0.01). Conclusion: The quality of life of Schizophrenic patients treated by haloperidol were poorer than that of risperidone.展开更多
