Two fungicide treatments combined with PEG were used to control fungi: 1) Funaben T(0.1%) and Apron 35 SD (0.02%) were added to -1.25 MPa PEG solution (PEG+F); 2) After seed priming and drying,Funaben T was mixed at 5 g kg-1 and Apron 35 SD at 1 g kg-1 of seeds (PEG then F dust). PEG, PEG+F and PEG then F dusttreatments reduced significantly thermodormancy and increased the seed germination at 35C in both lots. PEG then Fdust treatment had the best effect on reducing seed thermodormancy at 35C, and increased seed germination to 64.5% inlot 1 and 72.0% in lot 2 compared to 0 in untreated. PEG and PEG then F dust treatments have accelerated germinationspeed at 20 and 15C in both lots. There was a significant reduction in seed infestation in which the seeds were treatedwith PEG+F and PEG then F dust compared to untreated seeds and PEG primed seeds. PEG priming enhanced seedinfestation considerably by Alternaria alternata, Penicillium spp., Rhizopus spp. and Ulocladium spp. Mycologicalanalysis showed higher frequency of Alternaria alternata and Ulocladium spp. in untreated seeds at 20C. Priming incombination with fungicides significantly alleviated the infestation of fungi, especially Alternaria alternata infestation.展开更多
In order to study the relationship between temperature & sunshine and spring-sown wheat qua lity, a spring-sown experiment with 3 wheat varieties was conducted in Rikaze, Lasa, Linzhi, Beijing and Shenyang from 1...In order to study the relationship between temperature & sunshine and spring-sown wheat qua lity, a spring-sown experiment with 3 wheat varieties was conducted in Rikaze, Lasa, Linzhi, Beijing and Shenyang from 1998 to 2001. The results indicated that significant difference on some quality characteristics of experimental wheat varieties were observed from different locations and different years. The results also showed: protein content was positively correlated with wet gluten content, falling number, the average day temperature and sunshine hours from heading to maturation; and negatively correlated with the growing days and the average diurnal temperature difference from sowing to maturation; wet gluten content was positively correlated with the average day temperature and sunshine hours during the same period. Sedimentation value and falling number were positively correlated with the average sunshine hours from sowing to maturation. The basic way of wheat production in Tibet was as follows: mainly developing medium gluten wheat varieties, suitably planting weak gluten wheat varieties, introducing some inland excellent varieties.展开更多
A total of 210 soybean samples collected from different areas of Heilongjiang Province were analyzed by PCR to detect the presence of RR (Roundup Ready) soybean ingredient. Results showed that CaMV35S promoter was not...A total of 210 soybean samples collected from different areas of Heilongjiang Province were analyzed by PCR to detect the presence of RR (Roundup Ready) soybean ingredient. Results showed that CaMV35S promoter was not detected in all samples. CP4-EPSPS gene was amplified in 13 samples, but all of them were proved to be false positives in restriction endonuclease digestion analysis of PCR products. Further analysis by nested PCR indicated that there were no RR soybean ingredients in the samples. Besides, the ampli- fied fragments of 0x1 by CP4-EPSPS primers were se- quenced, and the results confirmed again the fact that this fragment was not from CP4-EPSPS gene.展开更多
