Research on the Progress of Treating Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease with Modified Classic Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a high-incidence digestive system disease. Western medicine mainly uses drugs such as proton pump inhibitors to inhibit gastric acid secretion, but some patients are accompanied by symptoms such as non-acid reflux and gas reflux, which cannot effectively treat the disease. It is necessary to actively explore other treatment schemes. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has a long history of research on gastroesophageal reflux disease, which emphasizes the treatment based on syndrome differentiation as a whole. Through the treatment of various and multi-component TCM prescriptions, the patient’s body condition can be adjusted, and the treatment effect on gastroesophageal reflux disease is reliable, which has obvious therapeutic advantages. To further clarify the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, this study reviewed and analyzed the research progress of the treatment of liver disease with modified prescriptions, and the report is as follows.

A Case Report on Treating Progressive Supranuclear Palsy with a Combination of Chinese and Western Medicine

A case of progressive supranuclear palsy in a 66-year-old woman is presented.The patient complained of“progressive stiffness of both lower limbs for five years,accompanied by choking and coughing for more than 1 year,”and was diagnosed with paralysis in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),which was characterized by a deficiency of liver and kidney,and phlegm and blood stasis blocking the collaterals.Western medicine diagnosed it as progressive supranuclear palsy.The patient was diagnosed with“Parkinson’s disease”several times in the past and was given“polybasic hydrazide”and“amantadine hydrochloride tablets,”etc.The patient did not have significant symptomatic relief,so she sought further treatment with a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Based on the concept of deficiency and excess,this disease is categorized as a paralytic disease in Chinese medicine,and the onset of the disease is closely related to the deficiency of the body after a long period of illness,with wind,phlegm,blood stasis,and deficiency as the main pathogenetic mechanism.The treatment is based on the combination of disease and evidence,with traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture as the main treatments,supplemented by intermediate-frequency pulsed electrical stimulation,transcranial repetitive magnetic stimulation,medicated canisters,wax therapy,traditional Chinese medicine guasha,and acupoint injections.Western medicine is based on symptomatic treatment,and the patient’s symptoms were relieved significantly after the combination of Chinese and Western medicine.

Research Progress on Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment of Tourette Syndrome in Children

Tourette syndrome is a common neuropsychiatric disorder that affects the physical and mental health of children.Early detection,diagnosis,and treatment are crucial to prevent serious impacts on the affected children,their families,and society.In recent years,there has been an increasing trend towards using a combination of methods in the clinical treatment of children with Tourette syndrome.This approach has achieved remarkable results,leading to a reduction in the rate of Tourette syndrome symptoms in children.In recent years,a combination of clinical methods has been used to treat children with Tourette syndrome,resulting in significant improvement in control rates.This article reviews the etiology of infantile Tourette syndrome and the progress made in Chinese and Western medicine treatments,providing a reference for further treatment of the condition.

Therapeutic potential of natural compounds from Chinese medicine in acute and subacute phases of ischemic stroke

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability in adults worldwide,resulting in huge social and financial burdens.Extracts from herbs,especially those used in Chinese medicine,have emerged as new pharmaceuticals for stroke treatment.Here we review the evidence from preclinical studies investigating neuroprotective properties of Chinese medicinal compounds through their application in acute and subacute phases of ischemic stroke,and highlight potential mechanisms underlying their therapeutic effects.It is noteworthy that many herbal compounds have been shown to target multiple mechanisms and in combinations may exert synergistic effects on signaling pathways,thereby attenuating multiple aspects of ischemic pathology.We conclude the paper with a general discussion of the prospects for novel natural compound-based regimens against stroke.

Interaction of major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A with the blood-brain barrier

The functional and structural integrity of the blood-brain barrier is crucial in maintaining homeostasis in the brain microenvironment;however,the molecular mechanisms underlying the formation and function of the blood-brain barrier remain poorly understood.The major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A has been identified as a key regulator of blood-brain barrier function.It plays a critical role in promoting and maintaining the formation and functional stability of the blood-brain barrier,in addition to the transport of lipids,such as docosahexaenoic acid,across the blood-brain barrier.Furthermore,an increasing number of studies have suggested that major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A is involved in the molecular mechanisms of blood-brain barrier dysfunction in a variety of neurological diseases;however,little is known regarding the mechanisms by which major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A affects the blood-brain barrier.This paper provides a comprehensive and systematic review of the close relationship between major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A proteins and the blood-brain barrier,including their basic structures and functions,cross-linking between major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A and the blood-brain barrier,and the in-depth studies on lipid transport and the regulation of blood-brain barrier permeability.This comprehensive systematic review contributes to an in-depth understanding of the important role of major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A proteins in maintaining the structure and function of the blood-brain barrier and the research progress to date.This will not only help to elucidate the pathogenesis of neurological diseases,improve the accuracy of laboratory diagnosis,and optimize clinical treatment strategies,but it may also play an important role in prognostic monitoring.In addition,the effects of major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2A on blood-brain barrier leakage in various diseases and the research progress on cross-blood-brain barrier drug delivery are summarized.This review may contribute to the development of new approaches for the treatment of neurological diseases.

A study on the rule of Chinese medicine use against influenza virus based on data mining

Background:To summarize the rules of the use of traditional Chinese medicine against influenza virus in the high-quality literatures of core journals,and to provide guidance for the prevention and treatment of influenza.Methods:Excel 2010 and ancient and modern medical case cloud platform(2.5V)were used to summarize the categories,nature,flavour and channel tropism of drugs.The cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs was carried out by SPSS 22.0,and the association rules of high-frequency drugs were analyzed by Apriori algorithm provided by SPSS modeler 18.0.Results:One thousand one hundred and thirty-one articles from core journals were retrieved and 135 articles were screened out,including 109 prescriptions and 170 drugs,with a total frequency of 1,655 times.The 3 most frequently appeared herbs were Gancao(Glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma),Jinyinhua(Lonicerae japonicae flos)and Lianqiao(Forsythiae fructus).The top 3 efficacy were“Heat-Clearing(remove heat from the body surface and inside)”drugs,drugs for“Relieving Exterior Disorder(treat fever,chills and headaches caused by pathogenic substances in the air)”,and“Phlegm Relieving Cough Antiasthmatic Medicine(relieves respiratory cough and sputum symptoms)”drugs.The top 3 nature of drugs were cold,warm and flat.The top 3 flavour of drugs were bitter,spicy and sweet.The top 5 channel tropism of drugs were“Lung”,“Stomach”,“Heart”,“Spleen”,“Liver”.Association rule yields 20 drug pairs,Jingjie(Schizonepetae herba),Forsythiae fructus,Lonicerae japonicae flos,Niubangzi(Arctii fructus),Mahuang(Ephedrae herba)and Glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma were commonly used concerted application;four new methods were obtained by cluster analysis.Conclusion:The use of traditional Chinese medicine against influenza virus has a certain regularity,which provides an important reference value for the prevention and treatment of influenza.

Culture teaching is an inseparable part of International Chinese Language Education,and it has great significance in international Chinese language teaching.Students can enhance their interest in Chinese language learning and improve their learning effect through understanding the excellent traditional Chinese culture,at the same time,culture teaching can help to disseminate the Chinese culture and promote the development of a multicultural world.Taking the teaching of Chinese New Year culture as an example,we analyze the current teaching materials involving Chinese New Year culture with high popularity and acceptance,put forward effective teaching methods matching the feasibility of teaching Chinese New Year culture,and then present the specific teaching design of Chinese New Year culture,in order to provide references for the teaching of culture in International Chinese Language Education.

Progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Cancer-Related Fatigue in Patients with Colorectal Cancer

Cancer-related fatigue,which is a common symptom among colorectal cancer patients,has a high incidence and it affects the quality of life of these patients.Western medicine still lacks effective treatment means.However,with various methods of intervention and treatment,Chinese medicine has made certain progress in this area,where辻has good curative effect in improving fatigue and the quality of life of patients.This article briefly summarizes the main TCM treatment methods for cancer-related fatigue in patients with colorectal cancer in order to provide reference and suggestions for clinical practice.

Analysis of the anti-T2DM components in dichloromethane fraction of Schisandra sphenanthera and its mechanism

Background:The type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)pharmacodynamic study of various parts of Schisandra sphenanthera was conducted in the previous stage,and it was found that dichloromethane extracted part(SDP)had a significant hypoglycemic effect.Therefore,the components of SDP were analyzed,and the specific mechanism of its anti-T2DM was explored.Methods:We used a high-fat,high-sugar diet in combination with streptozotocin to induce a T2DM rat model,and the model rats were divided into two groups according to body weight and blood glucose.Triglyceride,oral glucose tolerance test,fasting blood glucose,low density lipoprotein cholesterol,superoxide dismutase,insulin,glycated hemoglobin,total cholesterol,nonesterified free fatty acids,alanine aminotransferase,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,aspartate aminotransferase,malondialdehyde,and glutathione peroxidase were measured,organ indices were calculated,and pathological sections of pancreas and liver were observed.The 16S rRNA V3–V4 region of intestinal flora was sequenced to explore the effect of SDP on biochemical indicators and intestinal flora.Based on the above indicators,the anti-T2DM mechanism of SDP in Schisandra sphenanthera was analyzed.Results:After six weeks of administration,the biochemical indices of diabetic rats were diminished compared to the control group.And SDP could significantly increase the gut microbialα-diversity index,resulting in significant changes in the flora of T2DM rats,with increased richness and diversity,reduced harmful flora,and significantly back-regulated the levels of acetic acid,propionic acid,and butyric acid.Conclusion:SDP can improve the symptoms associated with elevated blood glucose,dyslipidemia,elevated fasting insulin levels,and damaged glucose tolerance in rats.SDP against T2DM may be through the control of intestinal flora to normalize and exert anti-diabetic effect;its main active components may be lignans and terpenoids.

Molecular mechanism of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma:The heterogeneity of cancer-associated fibroblasts and key signaling pathways

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma stands out as an exceptionally fatal cancer owing to the complexities associated with its treatment and diagnosis,leading to a notably low five-year survival rate.This study offers a detailed exploration of epidemiological trends in pancreatic cancer and key molecular drivers,such as mutations in CDKN2A,KRAS,SMAD4,and TP53,along with the influence of cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)on disease progression.In particular,we focused on the pivotal roles of signaling pathways such as the transforming growth factor-βand Wnt/β-catenin pathways in the development of pancreatic cancer and investigated their application in emerging therapeutic strategies.This study provides new scientific perspectives on pancreatic cancer treatment,especially in the development of precision medicine and targeted therapeutic strategies,and demonstrates the importance of signaling pathway research in the development of effective therapeutic regimens.Future studies should explore the subtypes of CAFs and their specific roles in the tumor microenvironment to devise more effective therapeutic methods.

Clinical Observation of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the Treatment of Chronic Ulcerative Rectitis

Objective:To observe and compare whether the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine can achieve more satisfactory results in the treatment of patients with chronic ulcerative rectitis(UR).Methods:70 cases of chronic ulcerative rectitis were selected in all hospitals of our hospital for comparison.Observation and control were set up.The number of people was the same,but there were differences in methods.The control group retained enema,and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine.Rectal mucosa scores after different treatments were compared to evaluate the effect of intervention.Results:It was found that the observation group scored lower(P<0.05),and the effect was better.Conclusion:For the treatment of patients with chronic ulcerative rectitis,the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine will help to promote the prognosis of the disease,improve the problem of ulcer,promote the improvement of gastrointestinal function and bring a more positive impact.

This article is a summary of the research progress of the maternal-fetal interface immune microenvironment regulated by traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of recurrent spontaneous abortion.The imbalance of the immune microenvironment at the maternal-fetal interface is closely related to the occurrence of recurrent spontaneous abortion.Traditional Chinese medicine can maintain the homeostasis of the immune microenvironment at the maternal-fetal interface by regulating the function of immune cells and the expression of related cytokines.

Meta Analysis of the Efficacy of Nonpharmaceutical Chinese Medicine Therapy in the Treatment of Obese Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:To systematically evaluate the effects of acupuncture,auricular point sticking,acupoint catgut embedding,cupping and other non-pharmaceutical Chinese medicine therapies on sex hormone as well as glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with obese polycystic ovary syndrome.Method:The databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure were searched by computer to collect the literature on the treatment of obese polycystic by non-pharmaceutical Chinese medicine therapy combined with western medicine or lifestyle change,and the literature quality of the included literature was evaluated,and finally the data were analyzed.A total of 15 randomized controlled trial(RCT)literature were included in this study,with a total of 1263 patients.Results:Non-pharmaceutical Chinese medicine therapy combined with metformin or lifestyle can reduce body mass index,insulin resistance index,fasting plasma insulin,fasting blood glucose,luteinizing hormone,ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone,testosterone,but it has no obvious advantage over follicle stimulating hormone(FSH).Conclusion:Compared with simple application of metformin or lifestyle change,traditional Chinese medicine non drug therapy combined with metformin or lifestyle change can better improve sex hormone and blood glucose metabolism in obese PCOS patients.

Analysis of effect of external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine on eczema by data mining

Objective:To determine medication regularity external therapies of Traditional Chinese medicine of eczema by data mining.Methods:Papers were retrieved from databases Pubmed,CNKI,WF,VIP,CBM,Web of Science and Embase.From the establishment of the database to April 2020 were searched.The main points of Medication Regularity were established with Excel 2016 software;the characteristics and laws in external therapies of Traditional Chinese medicine Treatment of eczema were analyzed with the relevance rule and cluster analysis Methods in data mining technology.Results:The property and flavor of the herbs mainly used were cold,bitter,while the channel which are mostly involved included liver meridian,lung meridian and Bladder Meridian,The analysis of association rules showed that kushen and difuzi had the highest correlation.The clustering analysis figured out 7groups of the herbs.Conclusion:The study presents the common pair herbs in the treatment of external therapies of Traditional Chinese medicine of eczema,which provides the approach to syndrome differentiation and medication in clinical treatment of eczema.

Meta-analysis of traditional Chinese medicine Jiedu therapy in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine Jiedu therapy in treatment of psoriasis.Methods: CNKI, Wanfang knowledge service platform, VIP journal database, Chinese biomedical literature database ( CBM), PubMed, the Cochrane Library and EMbase database from the establishment of the database to March 2020 were searched for the randomized controlled trials (Rcts) on traditional Chinese medicine Jiedu therapy in treatment of psoriasis. Literature selection and information extraction was completed and screened by two independent reviewers, and then the Cochrane recommended bias risk assessment method was used to evaluate the bias risk, and Review Manager5.3 was used for the data analysis. Totally 17clinical Rcts were included in this study, involving 1376 patients.Results:Analysis results showed that traditional Chinese medicine Jiedu therapy had higher clinical effective rate, with statistically significant difference ( OR= 4.53, 95% CI[3.17,6.46], Z =8.32, P<0. 00001);the improvement of score was more evident, PASI score (WMD =-2.21, 95%CI[-2.77, -1.64], Z = 7.60, P<0. 00001);and trial-related adverse events were reported in 6RCTs. Conclusion: Studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine Jiedu therapy had higher clinical efficacy.

Correlation Between the Brain-Gut Axis Mechanism and Functional Gastrointestinal Diseases from the Perspective of Chinese Medicine

In recent years,with the increasing pressure of life and work,the number of people suffering from anxiety disorders and depression is increasing.In addition to the manifestations of depressed mood,depressed will,slow thinking and so on,most of them are accompanied by more obvious gastrointestinal symptoms.More and more studies have proved that psycho-psychological factors are one of the primary triggers of the onset of digestive diseases.The proposed mechanism of the brain-gut axis can not only explore the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal illness from the psychological level but also provide new ideas for the treatment related to gastrointestinal disease caused by psychological factors.1 The relationship between the brain-gut axis and gastrointestinal diseases from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine As early as 2000 years ago,classical Chinese medicine proposed a similar theory of the brainintestine axis mechanism,i.e.,laying the foundation for the close connection between the nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract through the method of Tibetan elephants and meridians.
