The catalytic epoxidation of olefin was investigated on two copper complex-modified molybdenum oxides with a 3D supramolecular structure, [Cu(bipy)]4[Mo15O47].2H2O (1) and [Cu1(bix)][(Cu1bix) (δ-MoVl8O26)0....The catalytic epoxidation of olefin was investigated on two copper complex-modified molybdenum oxides with a 3D supramolecular structure, [Cu(bipy)]4[Mo15O47].2H2O (1) and [Cu1(bix)][(Cu1bix) (δ-MoVl8O26)0.5] (2) (bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine, bix = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene). Both compounds were catalytically active and stable for the epoxidation of cyclooctene, 1-octene, and styrene with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BuOOH) as oxidant. The excellent catalytic performance was attributed to the presence of stable coordination bonds between the molybdenum oxide and copper complex, which resulted in the formation of easily accessible Mo species with high electropositivity. In addition, the copper complex also acted as an active site for the activation of t-BuOOH, thus im- proving these copper complex-modified polyoxometalates.展开更多

With phen, CuCl forms one dimensional chains, which comprise two zigzag chains based on fused Cu X units and connected via covalent bonds. The compound contains two crystallographically unique monovalent copper ions, Cu(1) and Cu(2). The Cu(1) atom in the tetrahedral site, is coordinated to two bridging Cl - and two N atoms in phen. The Cu(2) atom with a slightly distorted triangular planar geometry, is coordinated to three Cl -. Hydrogen bonds and ππ interactions are the most remarkable structural features of the title compounds. All can be described as higherdimensional supramolecular compounds connected via these secondary bondings. Moreover, the title compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and TGA analyses. Changing the precursors or their molar ratios, two mononuclear complexes [Cu(phen)2Br]Br·H2O (2) and [Ni(phen)3][CuCl2]2 (3) as well as two unusual copper-halo chains found in polymers [Cu2Br2(phen)]∞ (4) and [Cu^ⅡCu3^ⅠBr2Ⅰ3 (phen)2 ]∞ (5) were obtained. The (Cu2Br2)∞ chain of 4 looks like a linearar ray of hexagons based on fused Cu3Br3 units, and the linear (Cu3Ⅰ3Br^-)∞ chain of 5 is an alternate combination of the rhombic Cu2I2 cores and the Cu4I4Br2^2- units. In addition, the hydrothermal reaction of CuBr2 with NA(NA=nicotinic acid) or INA (INA =isonicotinic acid) resulted in the syntheses of two compounds [CuBr(NA)] (6) and [CuBr(INA)]∞(7) containing staircase chain. Among them the third-order non-linear optical properties of 2, 5, 6 and 7 were investigated and all exhibit the reverse saturable absorption (α2〉0) and self-defocusing performance (n2〈0).展开更多
