Considerable attention has recently been focused on the search for genes expressed during the embryogenesis of plant model systems, especially in Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh., to understand the regulation of plant development. This paper presents a brief description of gene expression and molecular regulation during embryogenesis. The molecular events to induce and determine cell fate and cell differentiation are reviewed, the gene regulation of shoot and root meristems are discussed and the molecular mechanisms of embryo maturation and dormancy would be followed as well.展开更多
