Seamless mobility is always one of the major requirements of modern-day communication.In a heterogeneous and massive IoT environment,efficient network-based mobility protocol such as proxy mobile IPv6(PMIPv6),is poten...Seamless mobility is always one of the major requirements of modern-day communication.In a heterogeneous and massive IoT environment,efficient network-based mobility protocol such as proxy mobile IPv6(PMIPv6),is potentially a good candidate for efficient mobility as well as resource utilization efficiency.Several extensions are devised for performance in the research domain.However,a multi-criterion decision-based resourceefficient PMIPv6 extension is required to achieve efficiency when network resources are overloaded.In this research,a multi-criterion decision-based PMIPv6 scheme is devised that provides better performance when the Local Mobility Anchor(LMA)or Mobile Access Gateway(MAG)is overloaded.The objective is achieved by monitoring the load status of MAG or LMA and based on their status,the proposed scheme adapts itself to provide seamless mobility in addition to optimal efficiency.The proposed scheme is compared with the existing LMA and MAG-based mobility management protocol extensions.Based on the analysis of the comparison,the obtained results prove that providing a decision-based PMIPv6 scheme is better for service continuity as well as optimal performance in the context of required buffering,handover efficiency,and necessary signaling cost.展开更多
During the last two decades signicant work has been reported in the eld of cursive language’s recognition especially,in the Arabic,the Urdu and the Persian languages.The unavailability of such work in the Pashto lang...During the last two decades signicant work has been reported in the eld of cursive language’s recognition especially,in the Arabic,the Urdu and the Persian languages.The unavailability of such work in the Pashto language is because of:the absence of a standard database and of signicant research work that ultimately acts as a big barrier for the research community.The slight change in the Pashto characters’shape is an additional challenge for researchers.This paper presents an efcient OCR system for the handwritten Pashto characters based on multi-class enabled support vector machine using manifold feature extraction techniques.These feature extraction techniques include,tools such as zoning feature extractor,discrete cosine transform,discrete wavelet transform,and Gabor lters and histogram of oriented gradients.A hybrid feature map is developed by combining the manifold feature maps.This research work is performed by developing a medium-sized dataset of handwritten Pashto characters that encapsulate 200 handwritten samples for each 44 characters in the Pashto language.Recognition results are generated for the proposed model based on a manifold and hybrid feature map.An overall accuracy rates of 63.30%,65.13%,68.55%,68.28%,67.02%and 83%are generated based on a zoning technique,HoGs,Gabor lter,DCT,DWT and hybrid feature maps respectively.Applicability of the proposed model is also tested by comparing its results with a convolution neural network model.The convolution neural network-based model generated an accuracy rate of 81.02%smaller than the multi-class support vector machine.The highest accuracy rate of 83%for the multi-class SVM model based on a hybrid feature map reects the applicability of the proposed model.展开更多
Bacterial endophytes are beneficial to their hosts as they can fix nitrogen in the soil and make it available to the host.Endophytic bacteria also secrete plant growth-promoting hormones to support their host plants u...Bacterial endophytes are beneficial to their hosts as they can fix nitrogen in the soil and make it available to the host.Endophytic bacteria also secrete plant growth-promoting hormones to support their host plants under normal as well as stress conditions.The current study aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from different parts of Calotropis procera,i.e.,roots,stem and leaves of Calotropis procera(Ait.)W.T.Aiton.Plants were collected from the Lundkhwar,district Mardan.A total of 12 bacterial strains,i.e.,six from roots,three from the stem and three from the leaves were isolated.The strains were screened for their growth-promoting activity in rice plants because rice shows a quick and easy response to the bioactive compounds present in the culture filtrate(CF)of the potent endophytic strains.The rice plants were cultivated in pots containing 30 mL of 0.8%w/v water-agar medium.The pots were placed in a growth chamber,operated at 28±0.3℃ for 14 h(day);and 25±0.3℃ for 10 h(night),at 70%relative-humidity.Among the isolated strains,R1,S1,S3,L1,R5 and R6 showed visible growth promotion in rice plants.The biochemical analysis revealed that the strains were able to produce indole acetic acid(IAA)and flavonoids in higher quantities.Moreover,the strains also produced bioactive compounds that inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli and Aspergillus flavus using the well diffusion method.From the results,it was concluded that these strains can secrete potent compounds that can promote the host plant growth and inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and,therefore,can be used as bio-fertilizer and bio-control agents.展开更多
