This paper studies the equilibrium state and trajectory dynamics of an axially symmetric Electric solar wind sail(E-sail)at arbitrary sail angles.The E-sail is assumed operating in a heliocentric-ecliptic orbit at approximately one astronomic unit(au)from the Sun,and experiencing various dynamic disturbances like solar wind pressure,tether tension oscillations,and centrifugal forces.The study derives analytical expressions for the E-sail's equilibrium state and its maximal coning angle under small coning angle assumption.Subsequently,an improved propulsion model is developed for the E-sail in this equilibrium state.To assess the precision of these formulations,a high-fidelity E-sail dynamic model is constructed using the nodal position finite element method,where the tethers are modeled as two-noded tensile elements and the central spacecraft and remote units are simplified as lumped masses.Through thorough parametric analyses,this paper conclusively demonstrates that the operation of the E-sail at the equilibrium state can be achieved in accordance with the derived analytical prediction of the equilibrium state.Furthermore,the improved propulsion model is employed in trajectory analyses for a mission to reach the solar system's boundary.The study provides valuable insights and findings and foundation for the practical application and further advancement of the E-sail technology. 展开更多

To provide new insights into the development and utilization of Douchi artificial starters,three common strains(Aspergillus oryzae,Mucor racemosus,and Rhizopus oligosporus)were used to study their influence on the fermentation of Douchi.The results showed that the biogenic amine contents of the three types of Douchi were all within the safe range and far lower than those of traditional fermented Douchi.Aspergillus-type Douchi produced more free amino acids than the other two types of Douchi,and its umami taste was more prominent in sensory evaluation(P<0.01),while Mucor-type and Rhizopus-type Douchi produced more esters and pyrazines,making the aroma,sauce,and Douchi flavor more abundant.According to the Pearson and PLS analyses results,sweetness was significantly negatively correlated with phenylalanine,cysteine,and acetic acid(P<0.05),bitterness was significantly negatively correlated with malic acid(P<0.05),the sour taste was significantly positively correlated with citric acid and most free amino acids(P<0.05),while astringency was significantly negatively correlated with glucose(P<0.001).Thirteen volatile compounds such as furfuryl alcohol,phenethyl alcohol,and benzaldehyde caused the flavor difference of three types of Douchi.This study provides theoretical basis for the selection of starting strains for commercial Douchi production. 展开更多

Although lithium(Li)and sodium(Na)metals can be selected as the promising anode materials for next‐generation rechargeable batteries of high energy density,their practical applications are greatly restricted by the uncontrollable dendrite growth.Herein,a platinum(Pt)–copper(Cu)alloycoated Cu foam(Pt–Cu foam)is prepared and then used as the substrate for Li and Na metal anodes.Owing to the ultrarough morphology with a threedimensional porous structure and the quite large surface area as well as lithiophilicity and sodiophilicity,both Li and Na dendrite growths are significantly suppressed on the substrate.Moreover,during Li plating,the lithiated Pt atoms can dissolve into Li phase,leaving a lot of microsized holes on the substrate.During Na plating,although the sodiated Pt atoms cannot dissolve into Na phase,the sodiation of Pt atoms elevates many microsized blocks above the current collector.Either the holes or the voids on the surface of Pt–Cu foam what can be extra place for deposited alkali metal,what effectively relaxes the internal stress caused by the volume exchange during Li and Na plating/stripping.Therefore,the symmetric batteries of Li@Pt–Cu foam and Na@Pt–Cu foam have both achieved long‐term cycling stability even at ultrahigh areal capacity at 20 mAh cm−2. 展开更多

Flexible and all-solid-state zinc-air batteries(ZABs)are highly useful and also in demand due to their theoretical high energy densities and special applications.The limitation in their performance arises due to their catalyst-coated cathode electrodes in terms of catalytic activity and stability as well as cost.In this paper,a novel and environmentally friendly activation strategy is developed to activate the carbon cloth(CC)for the electrodes.The activated CC serves as a catalyst-free air cathode with high conductivity,excellent mechanical strength,and flexibility,in addition to low cost.The strategy is performed by simply electro-oxidizing and electroreducing CC under ultrahigh direct current(DC)voltage in a diluted NH4Cl aqueous electrolyte.It is found that the electro-oxidation not only results in the formation of a graphene-like exfoliated carbon layer on the surface of CC but also induces the incorporation of oxygen-containing groups and doping of nitrogen and chloride atoms.After the electroreduction,theπ-conjugated carbon network of CC is partially restored,leading to the recovery of electroconductivity.Such an electroactivated CC shows excellent oxygen reduction reaction activity.The aqueous flexibility and all-solid-state ZABs are assembled using such an electroactivated CC cathode without any catalyst loading.Both ZABs can achieve good durability and deliver high peak power density and an energy density as high as 690 Wh kg^(−1),demonstrating the excellent potential of this electroactivated CC in practical devices. 展开更多

[Objectives]A rapid screening and analysis method for 26 organophosphorus agrochemicals in fresh milk was established using ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry.[Methods]Raw milk was extracted with acetonitrile solution containing 0.2%formic acid by volume,and purified with a Dikma ProElut QuECHERS solid phase extraction cartridge.Target compounds were separated on a Waters ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 chromatographic column(2.1 mm×50 mm,1.8μm)with methanol-water solution as a mobile phase for gradient elution,and through scanning with an electrospray ion source in positive ion mode,26 kinds of organophosphorus agrochemicals could be accurately qualitatively determined within 10 min.[Results]When using formic acid acetonitrile with a volume fraction of 0.2%,there were more types of detected compounds and a greater recovery;and using B cartridge could effectively eliminate the interference of non-polar substances such as phospholipids,achieve higher number of detected compounds than those of A and C,and well separate the 26 kinds of agrochemical residues.[Conclusions]This study provides a reference method for the rapid screening of agrochemical residues in dairy cows in the future. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the main factors affecting the aerobial plate count in raw milk.[Methods]Drinking water,medicated baths and raw milk under different storage and transportation conditions were detected for the values of aerobial plate count to analyze their effects on the aerobial plate count in raw milk.[Results]Disinfection of drinking water tanks could significantly reduce the aerobial plate count in water.The use of medicated baths before and after milking could effectively reduce the aerobial plate count and had a significant bactericidal effect.The growth of microorganisms in raw milk stored below 4℃was relatively slow.Regularly disinfecting drinking water tanks and disinfecting nipples before and after milking could reduce the aerobial plate count in the tanks and nipples.After raw milk was extruded,the temperature should decrease to 0-4℃within 2 h,and the storage time should not exceed 48 h,which could effectively control the aerobial plate count in raw milk.[Conclusions]This study provides a reference for scientific control of the aerobial plate count in raw milk. 展开更多

This study examines the impact of electric solar wind sail(E-sail)parameters on the attitude stability of E-sail’s central spacecraft by using a comprehensive rigid–flexible coupling dynamic model.In this model,the nodal position finite element method is used to model the elastic deformation of the tethers through interconnected two-node tensile elements.The attitude dynamics of the central spacecraft is described using a natural coordinate formulation.The rigid–flexible coupling between the central spacecraft and its flexible tethers is established using Lagrange multipliers.Our research reveals the significant influences of parameters such as tether numbers,tether’s electric potential,and solar wind velocity on attitude stability.Specifically,solar wind fluctuations and the distribution of electric potential on the main tethers considerably affect the attitude stability of the spacecraft.For consistent management,the angular velocities of the spacecraft must remain at target values.Moreover,the attitude stability of a spacecraft has a pronounced dependence on the geometrical configuration of the E-sail,with axisymmetric E-sails proving to be more stable. 展开更多

In this study,we successfully synthesized silicon nanotubes(Si-NTs)and silicon nanowires(Si-NWs)in a controllable manner using a catalyst-and template-free method through the direct electrolysis of SiO_(2)in a molten CaCl_(2)-CaO system,while also proposing a novel formation mechanism for Si-NTs.Si-NWs are formed through electro-deoxidation when the cell voltage is within the range of CaO decomposition voltage and SiO_(2)decomposition voltage.By subsequently adjusting the voltage to a value between the decomposition potentials of CaCl_(2)and CaO,in-situ electro-deoxidation of CaO takes place on the surface of the synthesized Si-NWs,leading to the formation of a Ca layer.The formation of Ca-Si diffusion couple leads to the creation of vacancies within the Si-NWs,as the outward diffusion rate of Si exceeds the inward diffusion rate of Ca.These differential diffusion rates between Si and Ca in a diffusion couple exhibit an analogy to the Kirkendall effect.These vacancies gradually accumulate and merge,forming large voids,which ultimately result in the formation of hollow SiCa-NTs.Through a subsequent dealloying process,the removal of the embedded calcium leads to the formation of Si-NTs.Following the application of a carbon coating,the Si-NTs@C composite showcases a high initial discharge capacity of 3211 mAh·g^(-1)at 1.5 A·g^(-1)and exhibits exceptional long-term cycling stability,maintaining a capacity of 977 mAh·g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 3.0 A·g^(-1). 展开更多

Collision-avoidance strategy for a spinning electrodynamic tether system

Spinning electrodynamic tether systems(SEDTs)have promising potential for the active removal of space debris,the construction of observation platforms,and the formation of artificial gravity.However,owing to the survivability problem of long tethers,designing collision-avoidance strategies for SEDTs with space debris is an urgent issue.This study focuses on the design of collision-avoidance strategies for SEDTs with an electrodynamic force(Ampere force).The relative distance between the debris and the SEDT is first derived,and then two collision-avoidance strategies are proposed according to the two different cases.When debris collides closer to a lighter subsatellite,a stationary avoidance strategy is proposed to change the spatial position of the subsatellite by adjusting only the angular motion of the tether,which maintains the original orbit of the SEDT.When debris collides closer to a heavier main spacecraft,a comprehensive avoidance strategy is proposed to change the spatial position of the SEDT by slightly modifying the orbital height and changing the tether angular motion simultaneously.The numerical results illustrate that the proposed strategies promptly avoid potential collisions of an SEDT with space debris without significant changes in the orbital parameters of the SEDT. 展开更多

The ion thruster is an engine with high specific impulse for satellites and spacecrafts,which uses electric energy to boost the spacecraft.The ion optical system,also known as gate assemblies which consist of acceleration and screen grids,is the key component of the ion thruster.In this paper,the static mechanical properties of the C/C composite grids are evaluated based on the structural design.Representative volume element (RVE) is adopted to simplify the braded composite structure as a continuum material.The dynamical behavior of the 100 mm ion thruster optics in the launch environment (1000g shock-load) is numerically modeled and simulated with the half-sine pulse method.The impact response of the C/C and molybdenum gate assemblies on the stress distribution and deformation is investigated.The simulated results indicate that the magnitudes of the normal displacement of the composite grids subject to the uniformly distributed load are on the same level as molybdenum grids although the normal stiffness of the composite grids is much smaller.When subject to impact loading,the stress distribution in the C/C composite grids is similar to molybdenum grids while the stress magnitude is much smaller.This finding shows that the C/C gate assemblies outperform molybdenum grids and meet the requirement of long lifetime service in space travel. 展开更多

[ Method ] In the cyanophyte enrichment area of northern Dianchi Lake, phytoplankton community, chlorophyll a, total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) concentration had been monitored monthly from January 2007 to December 2011, and the temporal and spatial variation of phytoplankton community and main pollution indicators were analyzed. [ Result] From January 2007 to December 2011, algal diversity in the area increased slightly, and algal diversity in the alongshore region was less than that in the offshore re- gion ; chlorophyll a, TN and TP concentration decreased in the alongshore region, but it was otherwise in the offshore region; chlorophyll a, TN and TP concentration in the alongshore region were higher than those in the offshore region. [ Conclusion] The research could provide theoretical references for the control of cyanophyte bloom and achievement evaluation of each control measure in Dianchi Lake. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to provide an accurate and reliable method for rapid high-throughput screening of veterinary drug preparations.[Methods]For the matrixes of veterinary drug preparations,high-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-QTOF/MS)was used to establish a fast screening method for 59 non-standard components in five categories of antiviral agents,aminoglycosides,quinolones,sulfonamides,and tetracyclines in veterinary drugs.The target drugs were separated by a Waters ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 chromatographic column(50 mm×2.1 mm,1.8μm),and data were collected in the positive ion mode.Good separation of the 59 drugs was achieved within 7 min.[Results]In the concentration range of 0-100 ng/ml,each drug showed a good linear relationship,and the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.999.The detection limits of the 59 drugs were in the range of 0.1-0.5 mg/ml,and the recovery under the addition concentration of 5 mg/ml was in the range of 85.2%-103.8%.[Conclusions]The method is fast,simple,accurate,and highly sensitive,and is suitable for high-throughput screening and qualitative identification of non-standard components in veterinary drug preparations. 展开更多

Two-dimensional(2D)titanium carbide MXene Ti_(3)C_(2) has attracted significant research interest in energy storage applications.In this study,we prepared Chl@Ti_(3)C_(2) composites by simply mixing a chlorophyll derivative(e.g.,zinc methyl 3-devinyl-3-hydroxymethylpyropheophorbide a(Chl))and Ti_(3)C_(2) in tetrahydrofuran,where the Chl molecules were aggregated among the multi-layered Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene or on its surface,increasing the interlayer space of Ti_(3)C_(2).The as-prepared Chl@Ti_(3)C_(2) was employed as the anode material in the lithium-ion battery(LIB)with lithium metal as the cathode.The resulting LIB exhibited a higher reversible capacity and longer cycle performance than those of LIB based on pure Ti_(3)C_(2),and its specific discharge capacity continuously increased along with the increasing number of cycles,which can be attributed to the gradual activation of Chl@Ti_(3)C_(2) accompanied by the electrochemical reactions.The discharge capacity of 1 wt-%Chl@Ti_(3)C_(2) was recorded to be 325 mA·h·g^(-1) at the current density of 50 mA·g^(-1) with a Coulombic efficiency of 56% and a reversible discharge capacity of 173 mA·h·g^(-1) at the current density of 500 mA·g^(-1) after 800 cycles.This work provides a novel strategy for improving the energy storage performance of 2D MXene materials by expanding the layer distance with organic dye aggregates. 展开更多

This paper investigates the dynamics and de-spin control of a massive target by a single tethered space tug in the post-capture phase. The dynamic model of the tethered system is derived and simplified to a dimensionless form. Further, a decoupled PD controller is proposed, and the local stability of the controller is analyzed by linearization technique. Parametric studies of the dynamics and de-spin control of a massive target are conducted to characterize the dynamic process of de-spin with the proposed control law. It is shown that the massive target can be de-span by a single and small space tug with limited thrust within finite time. The thrust tangent with the tether de-spins the target while the thrust normal to the tether prevents the tether from winding up the target. The tether length has a positive contribution to the de-spin of a target. The longer tether leads to a faster de-spin process. 展开更多

This paper investigates the robust formation control for missiles with obstacle avoidance.A sliding mode surface that is asymptotically stable is firstly presented by the collision avoidance potential function and hyperbolic tangent function.Based on the sliding mode surface,a robust formation controller with obstacle avoidance is designed for missiles.To improve the convergence rate,a finite-time controller which can deal with the formation control for missiles is given using an improved sliding mode surface.Finally,the effectiveness of the designed controllers for missiles is demonstrated by the Lyapunov theory and simulation results. 展开更多

Subgroup J avian leukosis virus(ALV-J) is a highly oncogenic retrovirus that has been devastating the global poultry industry since the late 1990s. The major infection model of ALV-J is vertical transmission, which is responsible for the congenital infection of progeny from generation to generation. Increasing evidence has suggested that extracellular vesicles(EVs) derived from virus-infected cells or biological fluids have been thought to be vehicles of transmission for viruses. However, the role of EVs in infection and transmission of ALV-J remains obscure. In the present study, semen extracellular vesicles(SE) were isolated and purified from ALV-J-infected rooster seminal plasma(SE-ALV-J), which was shown to contain ALV-J genomic RNA and partial viral proteins, as determined by RNA sequencing, reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and Western blotting. Furthermore, SE-ALV-J was proved to be able to transmit ALV-J infection to host cells and establish productive infection.More importantly, artificial insemination experiments showed that SE-ALV-J transmitted ALV-J infection to SPF hens, and subsequently mediated vertical transmission of ALV-J from the SPF hens to the progeny chicks. Taken together, the results of the present study suggested that ALV-J utilized host semen extracellular vesicles as a novel means for vertical transmission, enhancing our understanding on mechanisms underlying ALV-J transmission. 展开更多
