A comparative study of the land-atmosphere energy and water exchanges over the Tibetan Plateau and the Yangtze River Region

正确认识不同区域能量和水分循环特征是研究局地地气相互作用及准确预测区域天气,气候变化的关键.为了研究属于干旱/半干旱气候的青藏高原(TP)和湿润/半湿润气候的长江流域(YRR)之间地表能量和水分交换的异同,本文对比分析了两个区域8... 正确认识不同区域能量和水分循环特征是研究局地地气相互作用及准确预测区域天气,气候变化的关键.为了研究属于干旱/半干旱气候的青藏高原(TP)和湿润/半湿润气候的长江流域(YRR)之间地表能量和水分交换的异同,本文对比分析了两个区域8个不同地表类型(包括高山荒漠,高山草地,(平原)城市和(平原)草地等)观测站点的地表辐射和能量通量数据.结果显示:(1)TP由于高原大气层稀薄且空气洁净,年平均入射短波辐射为251.3W m^(-2),是YRR的1.7倍.加之高原地表反照率高导致反射辐射(59.6 W m^(-2))是YRR的2.87倍.入射及出射的长波辐射为231.5和338.0 W m^(-2),分别为YRR的0.64和0.83.而两个区域的净辐射差异不大;(2)草地站更多的潜热释放使得地表总加热效率高于城市和高山荒漠,TP和YRR的草地站的年平均潜热分别为35.0和38.8 W m^(-2),而植被稀疏且土壤干燥的高山荒漠地区感热最大,年平均感热为42.1 W m^(-2);其次是城市下垫面,其年平均感热为37.7 W m^(-2).研究结果揭示了不同气候背景下典型下垫面地气相互作用特征,为地气相互作用过程深入分析奠定了基础. 展开更多

TiNi-based shape memory alloys have been extensively investigated due to their significant applications,but a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of electronic structure and electrical transport in a system with martensitic transformations(MT) is still lacking.In this work,we focused on the electronic transport behavior of three phases in Ni_(50-x)Fe_xTi_(50)across the MT.A phase diagram of Ni_(50-x)Fe_xTi_(50) was established based on x-ray diffraction,calorimetric,magnetic,and electrical measurements.To reveal the driving force of MT,phonon softening was revealed using first-principles calculations.Notably,the transverse and longitudinal transport behavior changed significantly across the phase transition,which can be attributed to the reconstruction of electronic structures.This work promotes the understanding of phase transitions and demonstrates the sensitivity of electron transport to phase transition. 展开更多

The kagome lattice system has been identified as a fertile ground for the emergence of a number of new quantumstates,including superconductivity,quantum spin liquids,and topological electronic states.This has attracted significantinterest within the field of condensed matter physics.Here,we present the observation of an anomalous Hall effect in aniron-based kagome antiferromagnet LuFe_(6)Sn_(6),which implies a non-zero Berry curvature in this compound.By means ofextensive magnetic measurements,a high Neel temperature,T_(N)=552 K,and a spin reorientation behavior were identifiedand a simple temperature-field phase diagram was constructed.Furthermore,this compound was found to exhibit a largeSommerfeld coefficient ofγ=87 mJ·mol^(-1)·K^(-2),suggesting the presence of a strong electronic correlation effect.Ourresearch indicates that LuFe_(6)Sn_(6)is an intriguing compound that may exhibit magnetism,strong correlation,and topologicalstates. 展开更多

Ground-based microwave radiometers(MWRs)operating in the K-and V-bands(20–60 GHz)can help us obtain temperature and humidity profiles in the troposphere.Aside from some soundings from local meteorological observatories,the tropospheric atmosphere over the Tibetan Plateau(TP)has never been continuously observed.As part of the Chinese Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research Program(STEP),the Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Profile(TPPROFILE)project aims to construct a comprehensive MWR troposphere observation network to study the synoptic processes and environmental changes on the TP.This initiative has collected three years of data from the MWR network.This paper introduces the data information,the data quality,and data downloading.Some applications of the data obtained from these MWRs were also demonstrated.Our comparisons of MWR against the nearest radiosonde observation demonstrate that the TP-PROFILE MWR system is adequate for monitoring the thermal and moisture variability of the troposphere over the TP.The continuous temperature and moisture profiles derived from the MWR data provide a unique perspective on the evolution of the thermodynamic structure associated with the heating of the TP.The TP-PROFILE project reveals that the low-temporal resolution instruments are prone to large uncertainties in their vapor estimation in the mountain valleys on the TP. 展开更多

The search for new green and efficient stabilizers is of great importance for the stabilization of nitrocellulose(NC). This is due to the shortcomings of traditional stabilizers, such as high toxicity. In this study, reduced polyaniline(r-PANI), which has a similar functional structure to diphenylamine(DPA) but is non-toxic, was prepared from PANI based on the action with N_(2)H_(4) and NH_(3)-H_(2)O, and used for the first time as a potential stabilizer for NC. XPS, FTIR, Raman, and SEM were used to characterize the reduced chemical structure and surface morphology of r-PANI. In addition, the effect of r-PANI on the stabilization of NC was characterized using DSC, VST, isothermal TG, and MMC. Thermal weight loss was reduced by 83% and 68% and gas pressure release by 75% and 49% compared to pure NC and NC&3%DPA, respectively.FTIR and XPS were used to characterize the structural changes of r-PANI before and after reaction with NO_(2). The 1535 cm^(-1) and 1341 cm^(-1) of the FTIR and the 404.98 eV and 406.05 eV of the XPS showed that the -NO_(2) was generated by the absorption of NO_(2). Furthermore, the quantum chemical calculation showed that NO_(2) was directly immobilized on r-PANI by forming -NO_(2) in the neighboring position of the benzene ring. 展开更多

A quasi-coherent(QC)mode was observed in the core region of low-density ohmic plasmas in Sino-UNIted Spherical Tokamak.In experiments on the QC mode,two sets of moveable Langmuir probes(LPs)were used to measure the local parameters including floating potential,electron temperature,electron density,and so on,as well as their profiles.To monitor the magnetohydrodynamic activities,a Mirnov probe was used to measure the poloidal magnetic fluctuation.The QC mode can be seen in the spectra of floating potential,but there is no similar peak in the spectra of magnetic fluctuation.Thus,the QC mode is probably electrostatic.By analyzing the electrostatic potential fluctuations from the LPs,the features of the QC mode including frequency,wavenumber,propagation direction,and dependence on collisionality are identified,which are consistent with the characteristics of dissipative trapped electron mode. 展开更多

We present a study on the magnetocaloric properties of a CaBaCo_(4)O_(7) polycrystalline cobaltite along with research on the nature of magnetic phase transition.The magnetization as a function of temperature identifies the ferrimagnetic to paramagnetic transition at a Curie temperature of 60 K.Moreover,a Griffiths-like phase is confirmed in a temperature range above T_(C).The compound undergoes a crossover from the first to second-order ferrimagnetic transformation,as evidenced by the Arrott plots,scaling of the universal entropy curve,and field-dependent magnetic entropy change.The maximum of entropy change is 3 J/kg⋅K for ΔH=7 T at T_(C),and a broadening of the entropy peak with increasing magnetic field indicates a field-induced transition above T_(C).The analysis of the magnetic entropy change using the Landau theory reveals the second-order phase transition and indicates that the magnetocaloric properties of CaBaCo_(4)O_(7) are dominated by the magnetoelastic coupling and electron interaction.The corresponding values of refrigerant capacity and relative cooling power are estimated to be 33 J/kg and 42 J/kg,respectively. 展开更多

Kagome materials have been studied intensively in condensed matter physics.With rich properties,various Kagome materials emerge during this process.Here,we grew single crystals of Y_(0.5)Fe_(3)Sn_(3)and confirmed an YCo_(6)Ge_(6)-type Kagome-lattice structure by detailed crystal structure characterizations.This compound bears an antiferromagnetic ordering at T_(N)= 551 K,and shows a weak ferromagnetism at low temperatures,where an anomalous Hall effect was observed,suggesting the non-zero Berry curvature.With the unstable antiferromagnetic ground state,our systematic investigations make Y_(0.5)Fe_(3)Sn_(3)a potential Kagome compound for Kagome or topological physics. 展开更多

The movement of the floating connecting mechanism between a hydraulic support and scraper conveyor is space movement;thus,when the hydraulic support pushes the scraper conveyor,there is an error between the actual distance of the scraper conveyor and the theoretical moving distance.As a result,the scraper conveyor cannot obtain the straightness requirement.Therefore,the movement law of the floating connecting mechanism between the hydraulic support and scraper conveyor is analyzed and programmed into the Unity3D to realize accurate pushing of the scraper conveyor via hydraulic support.The Coal Seam?Equipment Joint Virtual Straightening System is established,and a straightening method based on the motion law of a floating connection is proposed as the default method of the system.In addition,a straightening simulation of the scraper conveyor was performed on a complex coal seam floor,the results demonstrate that the average straightening error of the scraper conveyor is within 2-8 mm,and is in direct proportion to the fluctuation of the coal seam floor in the strike of the seam with high accuracy,the straightness of scraper conveyor is more affected by the subsidence terrain during straightening than by the bulge terrain.And some conclusions are verified by experiment.Based on the verification of the relevant conclusions,a comparison and analysis of Longwall Automation Steering Committee(LASC)straightening technology and default straightening method in the simulation system shows that the straightness accuracy of LASC straightening technology under complex floor conditions is slightly less than that of the default straightening method in the proposed system. 展开更多

Objective:The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of gastric cancer family history in the gastric cancer (GC) patients. Methods: Gastric cancer family histories within second degree relatives and clinicopathological features were obtained for 497 patients. Results:Of the 497 probands,235 probands were incorporated into familial gastric cancer (FGC) group (there were at least two GC members in the family); 262 probands were included in the non-FGC group (relatives only affected with non-GCs). Of 614 tumors in relatives,GC was the most frequent,followed by lung cancer,esophageal cancer,hepatocellular cancer,colorectal cancer,urogenital cancer,breast cancer,and pancreatic cancer. Most affected members aggregated within first-degree relatives. The ratio of males to females in affected first-degree relatives was usually higher in male probands. Paternal history of GC was a strong risk for GC in males,while risk of GC by maternal history of GCs was increased in females. Difference in tumor histological types between the two groups was derived from an excess of diffuse GC in non-FGC male probands. The lower site was the most frequent tumor location in all subgroups. Conclusion:Distribution of associated non-GCs in a family history of GC may vary with geographic areas. GC may have different genetic and/or environmental etiology in different families,and a certain subtype may be inherited in a male-influenced fashion. 展开更多

Time series of MODIS land surface temperature(Ts) and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) products,combined with digital elevation model(DEM) and meteorological data from 2001 to 2012,were used to map the spatial distribution of monthly mean air temperature over the Northern Tibetan Plateau(NTP). A time series analysis and a regression analysis of monthly mean land surface temperature(Ts) and air temperature(Ta) were conducted using ordinary linear regression(OLR) and geographical weighted regression(GWR). The analyses showed that GWR,which considers MODIS Ts,NDVI and elevation as independent variables,yielded much better results [RAdj2> 0.79; root-mean-square error(RMSE) =0.51℃–1.12℃] associated with estimating Tacompared to those from OLR(RAdj2= 0.40-0.78; RMSE = 1.60℃–4.38℃).In addition,some characteristics of the spatial distribution of monthly Taand the difference between the surface and air temperature(Td) are as follows. According to the analysis of the 0℃ and 10℃ isothermals,Tavalues over the NTP at elevations of 4000–5000 m were greater than 10℃ in the summer(from May to October),and Tavalues at an elevation of3200 m dropped below 0℃ in the winter(from November to April). Taexhibited an increasing trend from northwest to southeast. Except in the southeastern area of the NTP,T d values in other areas were all larger than 0℃ in the winter. 展开更多

Changes in the water cycle on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)have a significant impact on local agricultural production and livelihoods and its downstream regions.Against the background of widely reported warming and wetting,the hydrological cycle has accelerated and the likelihood of extreme weather events and natural disasters occurring(i.e.,snowstorms,floods,landslides,mudslides,and ice avalanches)has also intensified,especially in the highelevation mountainous regions.Thus,an accurate estimation of the intensity and variation of each component of the water cycle is an urgent scientific question for the assessment of plateau environmental changes.Following the transformation and movement of water between the atmosphere,biosphere and hydrosphere,the authors highlight the urgent need to strengthen the three-dimensional comprehensive observation system(including the eddy covariance system;planetary boundary layer tower;profile measurements of temperature,humidity,and wind by microwave radiometers,wind profiler,and radiosonde system;and cloud and precipitation radars)in the TP region and propose a practical implementation plan.The construction of such a three-dimensional observation system is expected to promote the study of environmental changes and natural hazards prevention. 展开更多

Just before the new round of UN climate change conference in Bonn, a survey report, named as the Climate Change in the Chinese Mind 2017, was released in Beijing. The investigation was conducted in the form of a computer-assisted telephone survey with a sample size of 4,025 samples, covering 332 prefecture-level administrative units and four municipalities in China.Urban-rural proportion and sex proportion were specially taken into account, so as to demonstrate the Chinese public awareness objectively. The investigation measures the public awareness from six aspects, which includes climate change beliefs, impacts, response, policies, actions, and the assessment of the effectiveness of climate communication. This article presents the key findings of the survey and provides further insights behind the data. 展开更多

Based on high-quality data from eddy covariance measurements at the Qomolangma Monitoring and Research Station for Atmosphere and Environment(QOMS) and the Southeast Tibet Monitoring and Research Station for Environment(SETS),near-ground free convection conditions(FCCs) and their characteristics are investigated. At QOMS, strong thermal effects accompanied by lower wind speeds can easily trigger the occurrence of FCCs. The change of circulation from prevailing katabatic glacier winds to prevailing upslope winds and the oscillation of upslope winds due to cloud cover are the two main causes of decreases in wind speed at QOMS. The analysis of results from SETS shows that the most important trigger mechanism of FCCs is strong solar heating. Turbulence structural analysis using wavelet transform indicates that lowerfrequency turbulence near the ground emerges from the detected FCCs both at QOMS and at SETS. It should be noted that the heterogeneous underlying surface at SETS creates large-scale turbulence during periods without the occurrence of FCCs. Regarding datasets of all seasons, the distribution of FCCs presents different characteristics during monsoonal and non-monsoonal periods. 展开更多

“Hydrogen in metallic glasses”has become a popular topic for material scientists,yet few studies focus on the atomic⁃scale details.Herein,by utilizing molecular dynamic simulations,the changes on the atomic structur... “Hydrogen in metallic glasses”has become a popular topic for material scientists,yet few studies focus on the atomic⁃scale details.Herein,by utilizing molecular dynamic simulations,the changes on the atomic structure of Cu50Zr50 metallic glasses after melt hydrogenation were systematically analyzed,with the aim of understanding the differences of mechanical behavior between these amorphous alloys.The simulated analyses indicate that the hydrogenated samples become more compact than the H⁃free one,but the fraction of the dominant coordination polyhedra with higher degree of local fivefold symmetry significantly decreases accompanied by the addition of H atoms.Accordingly,melt hydrogenation can induce much more local“soft spots”in metallic glasses to alleviate the degree of strain localization during deformation,i.e.,it has a positive influence on the deformability of glassy alloys in agreement with experimental results. 展开更多
