Naphthenic acids are polar compounds with the carboxylic group and are considered as a major factor affecting the oil viscosity. However, the relationship between the molecular composition of naphthenic acids and oil viscosity is not well understood. This study examined a “clean” heavy oil with low contents of heteroatoms but had a high content of naphthenic acids. Naphthenic acids were fractionated by distillation and caustic extraction. The molecular composition was characterized by high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry. It was found that the 2- and 3-ring naphthenic monoacids with 15–35 carbon atoms are dominant components of the acid fractions;the caustic extraction is capable of isolating naphthenic acids with less than 35 carbons, which is equivalent to the upper limit of the distillable components, but not those in the residue fraction;the total acid number of the heavy distillates is higher than that of the residue fraction;the viscosity of the distillation fraction increases exponentially with an increased boiling point of the distillates. Blending experiments indicates that there is a strong correlation between the oil viscosity and acids content, although the acid content is only a few percent of the total oil.展开更多
Objective To identify factors affecting the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents implanted after endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Methods We performed ...Objective To identify factors affecting the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents implanted after endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Methods We performed a post-hoc analysis of a randomized self-controlled clinical trial on post-operative implantation of bioabsorbable steroid-eluting stents in patients with CRSwNP.Univariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify which of the following factors affect the response to post-operative stent implantation:sex,serum eosinophil levels,history of prior surgery,endoscopic scores,and comorbid conditions(asthma and allergic rhinitis).The primary outcome was the rate of post-operative intervention on day 30,and the secondary outcome was the rate of polypoid tissue formation(grades 2–3)on days 14,30,and 90.Results A total of 151 patients with CRSwNP were included in the post-hoc analysis.Asthma was identified as the only risk factor for a poor response to steroid-eluting sinus stents on post-operative day 30,with an odds ratio of 23.71(95%CI,2.81,200.16;P=0.004)for the need for post-operative intervention and 19(95%CI,2.20,164.16;P=0.003)for moderate-to-severe polypoid tissue formation.In addition,the asthmatic group showed higher rates of post-operative intervention and polypoid tissue formation than the non-asthmatic group on post-operative day 30.Blood eosinophil levels were not identified as a risk factor for poor outcomes after stent implantation.Conclusion Comorbid asthma,but not blood eosinophil level,impairs the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents in the short term after ESS in patients with CRSwNP.展开更多
The source area of the Yellow River(SAYR),located above the Huangheyan hydrological station,is important for ecological preservation and water source conservation in the Yellow River Basin.In this area,the impact of w...The source area of the Yellow River(SAYR),located above the Huangheyan hydrological station,is important for ecological preservation and water source conservation in the Yellow River Basin.In this area,the impact of water conservation projects on the hydrology and the ecological environment is pivotal in protecting water resources and alpine vegetation ecosystems.This study investigates the impact of the Yellow River Source Hydropower Station on the runoff and ecological evolution of the SAYR,along with the underlying mechanism,using extensive datasets encompassing long-term meteorological,hydrological and remote sensing data from various time periods.Results show that,over the long term,precipitation is the primary factor driving runoff variations in the SAYR.Nevertheless,from 1990 to 2020,there is a notably inconsistent relationship between precipitation and runoff.After the completion of the Yellow River Source Hydropower Station in 2001,the water level of Eling Lake experienced and elevation of 2–3 m,leading to a gradual recovery of runoff.In addition,the basin's water balance shifted from a negative to a positive equilibrium,oscillating with changes in lake water levels.Consequently,the overflow zone of the Tangchama alluvial–proluvial fan in the upper reaches of the lakeshore shifted by 500 m,and marsh wetlands expanded by 20.78 km^(2).The increased storage of lakes and groundwater in the SAYR is the key controlling factor for the runoff recovery,changes in the basin's water balance,and enhancements in lakeshore vegetation ecology.Under the geological background of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau's upliftment and intensified upstream river erosion,the basin experienced a substantial water imbalance due to declining discharge base levels,which is the most critical factor behind runoff attenuation in the SAYR towards the end of the 20th century.The construction of the hydropower station objectively raised the drainage base level of the basin,thereby positively contributing to the preservation of water balance,runoff stability,and the enhancement of swamps and wetlands along the lakeshore.展开更多

Maintaining t...In many sources of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), large amounts of water vapor come from the air and the reactors. The relative humidity (RH) of exhaust gas is normally >60% and is supersaturated. Maintaining the property of adsorbent on VOCs in a highly humid gas stream is a serious industrial problem. In this study, the adsorption/desorption behavior of toluene in a micro-mesoporous polymeric resin was investigated in a highly humid environment to explore the influence of abound water vapor on resin adsorption and regeneration. This resin could selectively adsorb toluene at an RH of 80%, and its adsorption property was unaffected by the presence of water vapor. In the case of humidity saturation, the resin displayed a high adsorption capacity at a moisture content of <30%. Therefore, the polymer resin is an excellent water-resistant adsorbent of VOCs. In the regenerative experiment, the resin maintained its original adsorption capability after four adsorption/ desorption cycles of toluene purging with nitrogen gas at 120℃. The resin exhibited excellent regeneration performance at high humidity.展开更多
Objective:To observe the effects of sevoflurane treatment on lung inflammation in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury(ALI).Methods:The rat model of ALI was established by intratracheal instillation ...Objective:To observe the effects of sevoflurane treatment on lung inflammation in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury(ALI).Methods:The rat model of ALI was established by intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide(LPS).45 infantile SD rats[body weight(272±15) g]were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=15):control group,LPS group, sevoflurane group.NS(1 mL/kg) was instillated in rats’airways of control group;LPS(5 mg/ kg) was instillated in rats’airways of LPS group.Sevoflurane group rats received sevoflurane (2.4%) inhalation for a hour after LPS was instillated in rats’airways.Six hours after NS or LPS instillation,all rats were exsanguinated.Lung tissues were examined by HE staining.Expressions of TNF-αand ICAM1 mRNA were detected by semiquantitative RT-PCR techniques.The protein level of TNF-αand ICAM1 were assessed by western blot techniques.Results:In LPS group the permeability of lung tissues increased,organizational structure severely damaged and the alveolar wall turned thick,with interstitial edema and Europhiles infiltrated increasingly.The LPS group had higher mRNA expressions of TNF-αand ICAM1 than control group and sevoflurane group (P【0.05),and LPS group had higher protein level of TNF-αand ICAMI than control group and sevoflurane group(P【0.05).Conclusions:Sevoflurane treatment can attenuate lung inflammation in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury.展开更多

BACKGROUND Percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)is an effective method for the treatment of neurologically intact Kümmell’s disease,but bone cement leakage during surgery is a problem that deserves attention.AIM To r...BACKGROUND Percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)is an effective method for the treatment of neurologically intact Kümmell’s disease,but bone cement leakage during surgery is a problem that deserves attention.AIM To reduce bone cement leakage and evaluate the effect of the sequential infusion of bone cement during PVP for the treatment of stage I or II Kümmell’s disease.METHODS Patients with Kümmell’s disease treated in our hospital from September 2015 to September 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into two groups:Traditional single infusion and sequential infusion(SI).The visual analog scale(VAS)and Oswestry disability index(ODI)were evaluated and compared,and duration of operation,bone cement content and complications were recorded.RESULTS Forty-five patients were included in this study;there were 24 in the traditional single infusion group and 21 in the SI group.The VAS and ODI were significantly different for both groups when compared pre-and postoperatively,whereas the differences between 1 wk postoperatively and at the final follow-up were not statistically.When the VAS and ODI of the two groups were compared,there were no significant differences at any time point.The leakage rate of bone cement was significantly lower in the SI group(14.3%,3 of 21)than that in the traditional single infusion group(41.7%,10 of 24).CONCLUSION SI in unipedicular PVP is a safe and effective procedure for neurologically intact Kümmell’s disease,and this technique could decrease the incidence of bone cement leakage.展开更多
Objective:The study aimed to discuss the treatment of acute thromboembolic event(TE)during endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms.Methods:Between April 2013 and April 2019,158 patients with 167 intracrani...Objective:The study aimed to discuss the treatment of acute thromboembolic event(TE)during endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms.Methods:Between April 2013 and April 2019,158 patients with 167 intracranial aneurysms were treated with endovascular embolization in our hospital,in which 9 cases of acute TEs occurred during the embolization procedures.The clinical data,radiological findings and treatments of the 9 patients were reviewed and analyzed.Results:The TEs occurred at the aneurysmal neck in 3 patients,at distal part of the parent artery in 3,in the stent in 2,and at the proximal part of the parent artery in 1.Intra-arterial(IA)infusion of tirofiban were performed in 6 patients,mechanical thromboectomy(MT)with a stent in 2 patients,and combined use of the two methods in 1 patients.According to the modified Thrombolysis In Cerebral Infarction(mTICI)score,7 patients had recanalization of 2b/3a,1 patients had recanalization of 1,and 1 patients had recanalization of 0.At discharge,the mRS score was 0 in 3 patients,1 in 3 patients,and 2,3,4 in 1 patient each.6 months after the endovascular treatment,the mRS score was 0 in 5 patients,1 in 2 patients,and 3 in 1 patient.Conclusions:IA tirofiban and MT are effective remedies for the acute TE during endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysm,reasonable selection of which may improve the prognosis of patients.展开更多

The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor mRNA (VEGF mRNA) was examined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in gastric ulcer and microvessel density (MVD) adjacent to the ulcer margin was examined by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: MVD was higher in the JWYY treatment group (14.0±2.62) compared with the normal, model and ranitidine treatment groups (2.2±0.84, 8.8±0.97, 10.4±0.97) in rats (P<0.01). The expression level of VEGF mRNA in gastric tissues during the healing process of JWYY treatment group rats significantly increased compared with other groups (normal group: 0.190±0.019, model group: 0.642±0.034,ranitidine group: 0.790±0.037, P<0.01).CONCLUSION: JWYY granules can stimulate angiogenesis and enhance the expression of VEGF mRNA in gastric ulcer rats. This might be the mechanism for JWYY accelerating the ulcer healing, and preventing the recurrence of gastric ulcer.展开更多
Inhibitor of DNA binding 2(Id2)can promote axonal regeneration after injury of the central nervous system.However,whether Id2 can promote axonal regeneration and functional recovery after peripheral nerve injury is cu...Inhibitor of DNA binding 2(Id2)can promote axonal regeneration after injury of the central nervous system.However,whether Id2 can promote axonal regeneration and functional recovery after peripheral nerve injury is currently unknown.In this study,we established a mouse model of bilateral sciatic nerve crush injury.Two weeks before injury,AAV9-Id2-3×Flag-GFP was injected stereotaxically into the bilateral ventral horn of lumbar spinal cord.Our results showed that Id2 was successfully delivered into spinal cord motor neurons projecting to the sciatic nerve,and the number of regenerated motor axons in the sciatic nerve distal to the crush site was increased at 2 weeks after injury,arriving at the tibial nerve and reinnervating a few endplates in the gastrocnemius muscle.By 1 month after injury,extensive neuromuscular reinnervation occurred.In addition,the amplitude of compound muscle action potentials of the gastrocnemius muscle was markedly recovered,and their latency was shortened.These findings suggest that Id2 can accelerate axonal regeneration,promote neuromuscular reinnervation,and enhance functional improvement following sciatic nerve injury.Therefore,elevating the level of Id2 in adult neurons may present a promising strategy for peripheral nerve repair following injury.The study was approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Jinan University(approval No.20160302003)on March 2,2016.展开更多
As an important water source and ecological barrier in the Yellow River Basin,the source region of the Yellow River(above the Huangheyan Hydrologic Station)presents a remarkable permafrost degradation trend due to cli...As an important water source and ecological barrier in the Yellow River Basin,the source region of the Yellow River(above the Huangheyan Hydrologic Station)presents a remarkable permafrost degradation trend due to climate change.Therefore,scientific understanding the effects of permafrost degradation on runoff variations is of great significance for the water resource and ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin.In this paper,we studied the mechanism and extent of the effect of degrading permafrost on surface flow in the source region of the Yellow River based on the monitoring data of temperature and moisture content of permafrost in 2013–2019 and the runoff data in 1960–2019.The following results have been found.From 2013 to 2019,the geotemperature of the monitoring sections at depths of 0–2.4 m increased by 0.16°C/a on average.With an increase in the thawing depth of the permafrost,the underground water storage space also increased,and the depth of water level above the frozen layer at the monitoring points decreased from above 1.2 m to 1.2–2 m.64.7%of the average multiyear groundwater was recharged by runoff,in which meltwater from the permafrost accounted for 10.3%.Compared to 1960-1965,the runoff depth in the surface thawing period(from May to October)and the freezing period(from November to April)decreased by 1.5 mm and 1.2 mm,respectively during 1992–1997,accounting for 4.2%and 3.4%of the average annual runoff depth,respectively.Most specifically,the decrease in the runoff depth was primarily reflected in the decreased runoff from August to December.The permafrost degradation affects the runoff within a year by changing the runoff generation,concentration characteristics and the melt water quantity from permafrost,decreasing the runoff at the later stage of the permafrost thawing.However,the permafrost degradation has limited impacts on annual runoff and does not dominate the runoff changes in the source region of the Yellow River in the longterm.展开更多
Extracellular aggregation of amyloid-beta(Aβ)and intracellular tau tangles are two major pathogenic hallmarks and critical factors of Alzheimer’s disease.A linear interaction between Aβand tau protein has been char...Extracellular aggregation of amyloid-beta(Aβ)and intracellular tau tangles are two major pathogenic hallmarks and critical factors of Alzheimer’s disease.A linear interaction between Aβand tau protein has been characterized in several models.Aβinduces tau hyperphosphorylation through a complex mechanism;however,the master regulators involved in this linear process are still unclear.In our study with Drosophila melanogaster,we found that Aβregulated tau hyperphosphorylation and toxicity by activating c-Jun N-terminal kinase.Importantly,Aβtoxicity was dependent on tau hyperphosphorylation,and flies with hypophosphorylated tau were insulated against Aβ-induced toxicity.Strikingly,tau accumulation reciprocally interfered with Aβdegradation and correlated with the reduction in mRNA expression of genes encoding Aβ-degrading enzymes,including dNep1,dNep3,dMmp2,dNep4,and dIDE.Our results indicate that Aβand tau protein work synergistically to further accelerate Alzheimer’s disease progression and may be considered as a combined target for future development of Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics.展开更多

Similarities between these two larvae include external morphology, oral disc, internal oral features(floor and roof), terminal mouth, lateral eyes, single midventral spiracle, absence of keratinized jaw sheaths and labial teeth, absence of lingual papillae and postnarial arena, while the body of K. rugifera is bigger than that of K. borealis at stages from 36 to 39 and the number of papillae in the buccal cavity is 12–19 and 9–16, respectively in the two species. All the similarities and differences of the two species illustrate that the tadpoles within the family Microhylidae could be attributed to assistance in clarifying a certain taxonomic treatment in Microhylidae.展开更多

METHODS: Microsatellite markers were ...AIM: To establish the role of human T Cell Factor-4 (hTCF-4) gene exons 3-9 mutation status in association with sporadic rectal cancer with microsatellite instability (MSI). METHODS: Microsatellite markers were genotyped in 93 sporadic rectal cancer patients. Eleven cases were found to be high-frequency MSI (MSI-H). Sequence analysis of the coding region of the exons 3-9 of hTCF-4 gene was carried out for the 11 MSI-H cases and 10 controls (5 microsatellite stability (MSS) cases and 5 cases with normal mucosa). The sequencing and MSI identification were used. RESULTS: Several novel mutations and variants were revealed. In exon 4, one is a 4-position continuous alteration which caused amino acid change from Q131T and S132I (391insA, 392 G 〉 A, 393 A 〉 G and 395delC) and another nucleotide deletion (395delC) is present in MSI-H cases (5/10 and 4/10, respectively) but completely absent in the controls.CONCLUSION: Novel mutations in exon 4 of hTCF-4 gene were revealed in this study, which might be of importance in the pathogenesis of sporadic rectal cancer patients with MSI-H.展开更多
Si/a-C:H(Ag)multilayer films with different modulation periods are prepared to test their potential applications in human body.The composition,microstructure,mechanical and tribological properties in the simulated bod...Si/a-C:H(Ag)multilayer films with different modulation periods are prepared to test their potential applications in human body.The composition,microstructure,mechanical and tribological properties in the simulated body fluid are investigated.The results show the concentration of Ag first decreases and then increases with the modulation period decreasing from 984 nm to 250 nm.Whereas the C content has an opposite variation trend.Notably,the concentration of Ag plays a more important role than the modulation period in the properties of the multilayer film.The a-C:H sublayer of the film with an appropriate Ag concentration(8.97 at.%)(modulation period of 512 nm)maintains the highest sp3/sp2 ratio,surface roughness and hardness,and excellent tribological property in the stimulated body fluid.An appropriate number of Ag atoms and size of Ag atom allow the Ag atoms to easily enter into the contact interface for load bearing and lubricating.This work proves that the Ag nanoparticles in the a-C:H sublayer plays a more important role in the tribological properties of the composite-multilayer film in stimulated body fluid condition.展开更多

However, the weak oxidation resistance at temperatures higher than 800℃ can limit their further high-temperature structu...TiAl-based alloys have received extensive attention recently due to their excellent properties. However, the weak oxidation resistance at temperatures higher than 800℃ can limit their further high-temperature structural applications.To improve the oxidation resistance of a high-Nb-content γ-TiAl alloy(Ti-45 Al-8.5 Nb, in units of at.%), a chromium(Cr)coating is prepared by using the plasma surface alloying technique, separately, at 800℃ and 1000℃. The x-ray diffraction(XRD) patterns reveal that an oxide surface layer consisting of Cr2O3, Al2O3, and TiO2 is produced on the Cr-coated Nb containing γ-TiAl substrates during the initial oxidation. However, the Cr2O3 is dominated in the oxide surface layer after being isothermally oxidized for 300 h. The oxidation kinetic curves are composed of a parabolic law stage(≤ 90 h) and a biquadratic law stage(≥ 90 h), fit by weight–gain curves. Due to diffusion in the fabrication process and oxidation process,the Cr-coated specimens have an adhesion force after being isothermally oxidized, specifically 69 N for a specimen after oxidation for 300 h. These results demonstrate that the Cr coating enhances the oxidation resistance and adhesion of a Ti-45 Al-8.5 Nb alloy, which may provide a new feasible scheme for designing oxidation protection layers.展开更多
BACKGROUND There are a few cases of lateral lymph node(LLN)metastasis(LLNM)of T1 rectal cancer.Moreover,LLNM is easily missed,especially in patients with early-stage rectal cancer.To our knowledge,the possibility of b...BACKGROUND There are a few cases of lateral lymph node(LLN)metastasis(LLNM)of T1 rectal cancer.Moreover,LLNM is easily missed,especially in patients with early-stage rectal cancer.To our knowledge,the possibility of bilateral LLNM before surgery has not been reported in previous studies.CASE SUMMARY A 36-year-old woman underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection at a local hospital owing to a clinical diagnosis of a rectal polyp.The pathology report showed a diagnosis of T1 rectal mucinous adenocarcinoma.She was considered to have bilateral LLNM after the examination at our hospital.Laparoscopic total mesorectal excision plus bilateral LLN dissection was performed and the pathological outcomes indicated unilateral LLNM.The patient received longcourse adjuvant chemoradiotherapy with no recurrence or metastasis observed during the 1-year follow-up period.CONCLUSION T1 rectal cancer could lead to LLNM and possibly,bilateral LLNM.Therefore,adequate clinical evaluation is essential for these patients.展开更多

文摘Objective To identify factors affecting the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents implanted after endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Methods We performed a post-hoc analysis of a randomized self-controlled clinical trial on post-operative implantation of bioabsorbable steroid-eluting stents in patients with CRSwNP.Univariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify which of the following factors affect the response to post-operative stent implantation:sex,serum eosinophil levels,history of prior surgery,endoscopic scores,and comorbid conditions(asthma and allergic rhinitis).The primary outcome was the rate of post-operative intervention on day 30,and the secondary outcome was the rate of polypoid tissue formation(grades 2–3)on days 14,30,and 90.Results A total of 151 patients with CRSwNP were included in the post-hoc analysis.Asthma was identified as the only risk factor for a poor response to steroid-eluting sinus stents on post-operative day 30,with an odds ratio of 23.71(95%CI,2.81,200.16;P=0.004)for the need for post-operative intervention and 19(95%CI,2.20,164.16;P=0.003)for moderate-to-severe polypoid tissue formation.In addition,the asthmatic group showed higher rates of post-operative intervention and polypoid tissue formation than the non-asthmatic group on post-operative day 30.Blood eosinophil levels were not identified as a risk factor for poor outcomes after stent implantation.Conclusion Comorbid asthma,but not blood eosinophil level,impairs the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents in the short term after ESS in patients with CRSwNP.

文摘The source area of the Yellow River(SAYR),located above the Huangheyan hydrological station,is important for ecological preservation and water source conservation in the Yellow River Basin.In this area,the impact of water conservation projects on the hydrology and the ecological environment is pivotal in protecting water resources and alpine vegetation ecosystems.This study investigates the impact of the Yellow River Source Hydropower Station on the runoff and ecological evolution of the SAYR,along with the underlying mechanism,using extensive datasets encompassing long-term meteorological,hydrological and remote sensing data from various time periods.Results show that,over the long term,precipitation is the primary factor driving runoff variations in the SAYR.Nevertheless,from 1990 to 2020,there is a notably inconsistent relationship between precipitation and runoff.After the completion of the Yellow River Source Hydropower Station in 2001,the water level of Eling Lake experienced and elevation of 2–3 m,leading to a gradual recovery of runoff.In addition,the basin's water balance shifted from a negative to a positive equilibrium,oscillating with changes in lake water levels.Consequently,the overflow zone of the Tangchama alluvial–proluvial fan in the upper reaches of the lakeshore shifted by 500 m,and marsh wetlands expanded by 20.78 km^(2).The increased storage of lakes and groundwater in the SAYR is the key controlling factor for the runoff recovery,changes in the basin's water balance,and enhancements in lakeshore vegetation ecology.Under the geological background of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau's upliftment and intensified upstream river erosion,the basin experienced a substantial water imbalance due to declining discharge base levels,which is the most critical factor behind runoff attenuation in the SAYR towards the end of the 20th century.The construction of the hydropower station objectively raised the drainage base level of the basin,thereby positively contributing to the preservation of water balance,runoff stability,and the enhancement of swamps and wetlands along the lakeshore.
文摘In many sources of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), large amounts of water vapor come from the air and the reactors. The relative humidity (RH) of exhaust gas is normally >60% and is supersaturated. Maintaining the property of adsorbent on VOCs in a highly humid gas stream is a serious industrial problem. In this study, the adsorption/desorption behavior of toluene in a micro-mesoporous polymeric resin was investigated in a highly humid environment to explore the influence of abound water vapor on resin adsorption and regeneration. This resin could selectively adsorb toluene at an RH of 80%, and its adsorption property was unaffected by the presence of water vapor. In the case of humidity saturation, the resin displayed a high adsorption capacity at a moisture content of <30%. Therefore, the polymer resin is an excellent water-resistant adsorbent of VOCs. In the regenerative experiment, the resin maintained its original adsorption capability after four adsorption/ desorption cycles of toluene purging with nitrogen gas at 120℃. The resin exhibited excellent regeneration performance at high humidity.

文摘Objective:To observe the effects of sevoflurane treatment on lung inflammation in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury(ALI).Methods:The rat model of ALI was established by intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide(LPS).45 infantile SD rats[body weight(272±15) g]were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=15):control group,LPS group, sevoflurane group.NS(1 mL/kg) was instillated in rats’airways of control group;LPS(5 mg/ kg) was instillated in rats’airways of LPS group.Sevoflurane group rats received sevoflurane (2.4%) inhalation for a hour after LPS was instillated in rats’airways.Six hours after NS or LPS instillation,all rats were exsanguinated.Lung tissues were examined by HE staining.Expressions of TNF-αand ICAM1 mRNA were detected by semiquantitative RT-PCR techniques.The protein level of TNF-αand ICAM1 were assessed by western blot techniques.Results:In LPS group the permeability of lung tissues increased,organizational structure severely damaged and the alveolar wall turned thick,with interstitial edema and Europhiles infiltrated increasingly.The LPS group had higher mRNA expressions of TNF-αand ICAM1 than control group and sevoflurane group (P【0.05),and LPS group had higher protein level of TNF-αand ICAMI than control group and sevoflurane group(P【0.05).Conclusions:Sevoflurane treatment can attenuate lung inflammation in rats with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury.

文摘The hot cracking tendency of 7075 semi-solid alloy under different conditions was studied by critical diameter method.The experiment and simulation results show that the dendrite arms of the rod grow from the edge to the center.The smaller the diameter of the rod is,the more obvious the directional growth of dendrite is,and the greater the tendency of hot cracking is.Compared with ordinary melt,for semi-solid slurry,increasing mould temperature or decreasing pouring temperature can significantly decrease hot cracking tendency of 7075 alloy,decreasing hot cracking grade from 256 to 100 mm^2.Furthermore,based on the RDG criterion,the effects of solidification conditions on the hot cracking tendency were discussed combined with simulation.At the same time,the application and development of RDG criterion were also researched.
文摘BACKGROUND Percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)is an effective method for the treatment of neurologically intact Kümmell’s disease,but bone cement leakage during surgery is a problem that deserves attention.AIM To reduce bone cement leakage and evaluate the effect of the sequential infusion of bone cement during PVP for the treatment of stage I or II Kümmell’s disease.METHODS Patients with Kümmell’s disease treated in our hospital from September 2015 to September 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into two groups:Traditional single infusion and sequential infusion(SI).The visual analog scale(VAS)and Oswestry disability index(ODI)were evaluated and compared,and duration of operation,bone cement content and complications were recorded.RESULTS Forty-five patients were included in this study;there were 24 in the traditional single infusion group and 21 in the SI group.The VAS and ODI were significantly different for both groups when compared pre-and postoperatively,whereas the differences between 1 wk postoperatively and at the final follow-up were not statistically.When the VAS and ODI of the two groups were compared,there were no significant differences at any time point.The leakage rate of bone cement was significantly lower in the SI group(14.3%,3 of 21)than that in the traditional single infusion group(41.7%,10 of 24).CONCLUSION SI in unipedicular PVP is a safe and effective procedure for neurologically intact Kümmell’s disease,and this technique could decrease the incidence of bone cement leakage.
文摘Objective:The study aimed to discuss the treatment of acute thromboembolic event(TE)during endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms.Methods:Between April 2013 and April 2019,158 patients with 167 intracranial aneurysms were treated with endovascular embolization in our hospital,in which 9 cases of acute TEs occurred during the embolization procedures.The clinical data,radiological findings and treatments of the 9 patients were reviewed and analyzed.Results:The TEs occurred at the aneurysmal neck in 3 patients,at distal part of the parent artery in 3,in the stent in 2,and at the proximal part of the parent artery in 1.Intra-arterial(IA)infusion of tirofiban were performed in 6 patients,mechanical thromboectomy(MT)with a stent in 2 patients,and combined use of the two methods in 1 patients.According to the modified Thrombolysis In Cerebral Infarction(mTICI)score,7 patients had recanalization of 2b/3a,1 patients had recanalization of 1,and 1 patients had recanalization of 0.At discharge,the mRS score was 0 in 3 patients,1 in 3 patients,and 2,3,4 in 1 patient each.6 months after the endovascular treatment,the mRS score was 0 in 5 patients,1 in 2 patients,and 3 in 1 patient.Conclusions:IA tirofiban and MT are effective remedies for the acute TE during endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysm,reasonable selection of which may improve the prognosis of patients.

文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of Jianweiyuyang (JWYY)granule on gastric ulcer recurrence and its mechanism in the treatment of gastric ulcer in rats.METHODS: Gastric ulcer in rats was induced according to Okeba's method with minor modification and the recurrence model was induced by IL-1β. The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor mRNA (VEGF mRNA) was examined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in gastric ulcer and microvessel density (MVD) adjacent to the ulcer margin was examined by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: MVD was higher in the JWYY treatment group (14.0±2.62) compared with the normal, model and ranitidine treatment groups (2.2±0.84, 8.8±0.97, 10.4±0.97) in rats (P<0.01). The expression level of VEGF mRNA in gastric tissues during the healing process of JWYY treatment group rats significantly increased compared with other groups (normal group: 0.190±0.019, model group: 0.642±0.034,ranitidine group: 0.790±0.037, P<0.01).CONCLUSION: JWYY granules can stimulate angiogenesis and enhance the expression of VEGF mRNA in gastric ulcer rats. This might be the mechanism for JWYY accelerating the ulcer healing, and preventing the recurrence of gastric ulcer.

文摘Inhibitor of DNA binding 2(Id2)can promote axonal regeneration after injury of the central nervous system.However,whether Id2 can promote axonal regeneration and functional recovery after peripheral nerve injury is currently unknown.In this study,we established a mouse model of bilateral sciatic nerve crush injury.Two weeks before injury,AAV9-Id2-3×Flag-GFP was injected stereotaxically into the bilateral ventral horn of lumbar spinal cord.Our results showed that Id2 was successfully delivered into spinal cord motor neurons projecting to the sciatic nerve,and the number of regenerated motor axons in the sciatic nerve distal to the crush site was increased at 2 weeks after injury,arriving at the tibial nerve and reinnervating a few endplates in the gastrocnemius muscle.By 1 month after injury,extensive neuromuscular reinnervation occurred.In addition,the amplitude of compound muscle action potentials of the gastrocnemius muscle was markedly recovered,and their latency was shortened.These findings suggest that Id2 can accelerate axonal regeneration,promote neuromuscular reinnervation,and enhance functional improvement following sciatic nerve injury.Therefore,elevating the level of Id2 in adult neurons may present a promising strategy for peripheral nerve repair following injury.The study was approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Jinan University(approval No.20160302003)on March 2,2016.

文摘As an important water source and ecological barrier in the Yellow River Basin,the source region of the Yellow River(above the Huangheyan Hydrologic Station)presents a remarkable permafrost degradation trend due to climate change.Therefore,scientific understanding the effects of permafrost degradation on runoff variations is of great significance for the water resource and ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin.In this paper,we studied the mechanism and extent of the effect of degrading permafrost on surface flow in the source region of the Yellow River based on the monitoring data of temperature and moisture content of permafrost in 2013–2019 and the runoff data in 1960–2019.The following results have been found.From 2013 to 2019,the geotemperature of the monitoring sections at depths of 0–2.4 m increased by 0.16°C/a on average.With an increase in the thawing depth of the permafrost,the underground water storage space also increased,and the depth of water level above the frozen layer at the monitoring points decreased from above 1.2 m to 1.2–2 m.64.7%of the average multiyear groundwater was recharged by runoff,in which meltwater from the permafrost accounted for 10.3%.Compared to 1960-1965,the runoff depth in the surface thawing period(from May to October)and the freezing period(from November to April)decreased by 1.5 mm and 1.2 mm,respectively during 1992–1997,accounting for 4.2%and 3.4%of the average annual runoff depth,respectively.Most specifically,the decrease in the runoff depth was primarily reflected in the decreased runoff from August to December.The permafrost degradation affects the runoff within a year by changing the runoff generation,concentration characteristics and the melt water quantity from permafrost,decreasing the runoff at the later stage of the permafrost thawing.However,the permafrost degradation has limited impacts on annual runoff and does not dominate the runoff changes in the source region of the Yellow River in the longterm.

文摘Extracellular aggregation of amyloid-beta(Aβ)and intracellular tau tangles are two major pathogenic hallmarks and critical factors of Alzheimer’s disease.A linear interaction between Aβand tau protein has been characterized in several models.Aβinduces tau hyperphosphorylation through a complex mechanism;however,the master regulators involved in this linear process are still unclear.In our study with Drosophila melanogaster,we found that Aβregulated tau hyperphosphorylation and toxicity by activating c-Jun N-terminal kinase.Importantly,Aβtoxicity was dependent on tau hyperphosphorylation,and flies with hypophosphorylated tau were insulated against Aβ-induced toxicity.Strikingly,tau accumulation reciprocally interfered with Aβdegradation and correlated with the reduction in mRNA expression of genes encoding Aβ-degrading enzymes,including dNep1,dNep3,dMmp2,dNep4,and dIDE.Our results indicate that Aβand tau protein work synergistically to further accelerate Alzheimer’s disease progression and may be considered as a combined target for future development of Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics.

文摘The external morphology and internal oral features of the tadpoles of Kaloula rugifera and K. borealis are described in this paper. Similarities between these two larvae include external morphology, oral disc, internal oral features(floor and roof), terminal mouth, lateral eyes, single midventral spiracle, absence of keratinized jaw sheaths and labial teeth, absence of lingual papillae and postnarial arena, while the body of K. rugifera is bigger than that of K. borealis at stages from 36 to 39 and the number of papillae in the buccal cavity is 12–19 and 9–16, respectively in the two species. All the similarities and differences of the two species illustrate that the tadpoles within the family Microhylidae could be attributed to assistance in clarifying a certain taxonomic treatment in Microhylidae.

文摘AIM: To establish the role of human T Cell Factor-4 (hTCF-4) gene exons 3-9 mutation status in association with sporadic rectal cancer with microsatellite instability (MSI). METHODS: Microsatellite markers were genotyped in 93 sporadic rectal cancer patients. Eleven cases were found to be high-frequency MSI (MSI-H). Sequence analysis of the coding region of the exons 3-9 of hTCF-4 gene was carried out for the 11 MSI-H cases and 10 controls (5 microsatellite stability (MSS) cases and 5 cases with normal mucosa). The sequencing and MSI identification were used. RESULTS: Several novel mutations and variants were revealed. In exon 4, one is a 4-position continuous alteration which caused amino acid change from Q131T and S132I (391insA, 392 G 〉 A, 393 A 〉 G and 395delC) and another nucleotide deletion (395delC) is present in MSI-H cases (5/10 and 4/10, respectively) but completely absent in the controls.CONCLUSION: Novel mutations in exon 4 of hTCF-4 gene were revealed in this study, which might be of importance in the pathogenesis of sporadic rectal cancer patients with MSI-H.

文摘Si/a-C:H(Ag)multilayer films with different modulation periods are prepared to test their potential applications in human body.The composition,microstructure,mechanical and tribological properties in the simulated body fluid are investigated.The results show the concentration of Ag first decreases and then increases with the modulation period decreasing from 984 nm to 250 nm.Whereas the C content has an opposite variation trend.Notably,the concentration of Ag plays a more important role than the modulation period in the properties of the multilayer film.The a-C:H sublayer of the film with an appropriate Ag concentration(8.97 at.%)(modulation period of 512 nm)maintains the highest sp3/sp2 ratio,surface roughness and hardness,and excellent tribological property in the stimulated body fluid.An appropriate number of Ag atoms and size of Ag atom allow the Ag atoms to easily enter into the contact interface for load bearing and lubricating.This work proves that the Ag nanoparticles in the a-C:H sublayer plays a more important role in the tribological properties of the composite-multilayer film in stimulated body fluid condition.

文摘TiAl-based alloys have received extensive attention recently due to their excellent properties. However, the weak oxidation resistance at temperatures higher than 800℃ can limit their further high-temperature structural applications.To improve the oxidation resistance of a high-Nb-content γ-TiAl alloy(Ti-45 Al-8.5 Nb, in units of at.%), a chromium(Cr)coating is prepared by using the plasma surface alloying technique, separately, at 800℃ and 1000℃. The x-ray diffraction(XRD) patterns reveal that an oxide surface layer consisting of Cr2O3, Al2O3, and TiO2 is produced on the Cr-coated Nb containing γ-TiAl substrates during the initial oxidation. However, the Cr2O3 is dominated in the oxide surface layer after being isothermally oxidized for 300 h. The oxidation kinetic curves are composed of a parabolic law stage(≤ 90 h) and a biquadratic law stage(≥ 90 h), fit by weight–gain curves. Due to diffusion in the fabrication process and oxidation process,the Cr-coated specimens have an adhesion force after being isothermally oxidized, specifically 69 N for a specimen after oxidation for 300 h. These results demonstrate that the Cr coating enhances the oxidation resistance and adhesion of a Ti-45 Al-8.5 Nb alloy, which may provide a new feasible scheme for designing oxidation protection layers.
文摘BACKGROUND There are a few cases of lateral lymph node(LLN)metastasis(LLNM)of T1 rectal cancer.Moreover,LLNM is easily missed,especially in patients with early-stage rectal cancer.To our knowledge,the possibility of bilateral LLNM before surgery has not been reported in previous studies.CASE SUMMARY A 36-year-old woman underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection at a local hospital owing to a clinical diagnosis of a rectal polyp.The pathology report showed a diagnosis of T1 rectal mucinous adenocarcinoma.She was considered to have bilateral LLNM after the examination at our hospital.Laparoscopic total mesorectal excision plus bilateral LLN dissection was performed and the pathological outcomes indicated unilateral LLNM.The patient received longcourse adjuvant chemoradiotherapy with no recurrence or metastasis observed during the 1-year follow-up period.CONCLUSION T1 rectal cancer could lead to LLNM and possibly,bilateral LLNM.Therefore,adequate clinical evaluation is essential for these patients.
