[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the relationship between neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio(NPAR)and coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes.[Methods]A total of 603 patients with coronary ...[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the relationship between neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio(NPAR)and coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes.[Methods]A total of 603 patients with coronary heart disease who underwent coronary angiography in Pingquan County Hospital from January,2023 to December,2023 and met the inclusion criteria were included as the research object.All the patients were divided into a coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes group(CAD+T2DM group)(n=298 cases)and a control group(CAD group)(n=305 cases),according to patients medical history,heart color ultrasound and biochemical test results.The clinical data,biochemical test results and coronary artery imaging data of patients were recorded,and the Gensini score was calculated.The neutrophil percentage(NEUT%)and albumin count were determined to calculate NPAR.[Results]The NPAR value of the coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus group was(1.6±0.42),which was significantly higher than that of the control group(1.47±0.49),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve was 0.619(95%CI:0.591-0.675,P<0.05),and the prediction of coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes using NPAR showed a Youden index of 0.31,a sensitivity of 60.4%,a specificity of 40.3%,and a best cut-off score of 1.4506.[Conclusions]The neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio(NPAR)is closely related to coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus,and NPAR has clinical application value in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus.展开更多
Objective To explore the association between lipid profiles and left ventricular hypertrophy in a Chinese general population.Methods We conducted a retrospective observational study to investigate the relationship bet...Objective To explore the association between lipid profiles and left ventricular hypertrophy in a Chinese general population.Methods We conducted a retrospective observational study to investigate the relationship between lipid markers[including triglycerides,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein(HDL)cholesterol,non-HDL-cholesterol,apolipoprotein A-I,apolipoprotein B,lipoprotein[a],and composite lipid profiles]and left ventricular hypertrophy.A total of 309,400 participants of two populations(one from Beijing and another from nationwide)who underwent physical examinations at different health management centers between 2009 and 2018 in China were included in the cross-sectional study.7,475 participants who had multiple physical examinations and initially did not have left ventricular hypertrophy constituted a longitudinal cohort to analyze the association between lipid markers and the new-onset of left ventricular hypertrophy.Left ventricular hypertrophy was measured by echocardiography and defined as an end-diastolic thickness of the mterventricular septum or left ventricle posterior wall>11 mm.The Logistic regression model was used in the cross-sectional study.Cox model and Cox model with restricted cubic splines were used in the longitudinal cohort.Results In the cross-sectional study for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[odds ratio(OR):1.2S0,95%CI:1.060 to 1.474],HDL-cholesterol(OR:0.780,95%CI:0.662 to 0.918),and lipoprotein(a)(OR:1.311,95%C7:1.115 to 1.541)had an association with left ventricular hypertrophy.In the longitudinal cohort,for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker at the baseline compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[hazard ratio(HR):3.277,95%C/:1.720 to 6.244],HDL-cholesterol(HR:0.516,95%C7:0.283 to 0.940),non-HDL-cholesterol(HR:2.309,95%C/:1.296 to 4.112),apolipoprotein B(HR:2.244,95%CI:1.251 to 4.032)showed an association with new-onset left ventricular hypertrophy.In the Cox model with forward stepwise selection,triglycerides were the only lipid markers entered into the final model.Conclusion Lipids levels,especially triglycerides,are associated with left ventricular hypertrophy.Controlling triglycerides level potentiate to be a strategy in harnessing cardiac remodeling but deserve to be furdier investigated.展开更多
Artificial intelligence(AI)is an important driving force in the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,China must grasp the opportunity to its development.Basic researcher...Artificial intelligence(AI)is an important driving force in the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,China must grasp the opportunity to its development.Basic researcher's ability was the inexhaustible driving force to promote the long-term development of AI.The paper focused on 2763 AI researchers who engaged in basic research.The paper analyzed the differences in city distribution and research direction of this group in China,and further explored the influence of different cities on research output,as well as the interactive influence between city and institution on their research output.The study found that there was a prominent phenomenon of aggregation of AI basic researchers in China,and their research fields were mainly focused on machine learning,computer vision,patterm recognition and data mining.The economic level of the city had a positive impact on the paper output and the project undertaken by researchers.The development vitality of the city had a positive impact on the researchers'patent output.The high-quality platform of the institution would make up for the disadvantages caused by the city's lower economy.Therefore,in China,it was necessary to determine the development orientation of cities at different levels so that they could play different roles in the industrial development.Economically underdeveloped cities should allocate resources rationally,enhance the deep cooperation between non-first-class institutions and local AI enterprises,and provide a good scientific research ecological environment for the growth of local AI basic researchers.展开更多
