In traditional Chinese medicine, heart (different from the concept in Western medicine) control the emotions. Overthinking hinders the function of the spleen. Deficiency of spleen leads to lack of heart-Qi. Deficiency of the spleen also leads to dysfunction of heart. Once the heart is dysfunction, Qi will be stagnated in Danzhong(thoracic center), eventually leads to depression. In Traditional Chinese medicine, the development of depression is a heart-spleen-heart process, which can be called the "heart-spleen axis". Biomedicine studies have found that the progress of depression is mainly caused by long-term adverse stimulation of the central nervous system, which affects the Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) to convey monoamine neurotransmitters, such as 5- hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), and further damaged the intestinal mucosal barrier, increased its permeability, and produced a large number of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and inflammatory factors. The production of LPS and inflammatory cytokines reduces the synthesis of 5-HT by consuming tryptophan, and the decrease of 5-HT in serum results in the decrease of 5-HT levels in the brain. At the same time, changes in the intestinal microbiota alter the concentration of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) via the vagal pathway, ultimately creating a vicious brain-gut- brain cycle. Kaixin Powder has the effect of invigorating spleen and eliminating dampness, awaking consciousness and inducing resuscitation, and can adjust the imbalance of gut microbiota and neurotransmitters to achieve the purpose of treating depression.展开更多

It plays the essential role in maintaining the high acidity and oxidation of reduced inorganic sulfur compounds during bioleaching process. In this report, the complete genome sequence of A. caldus SM-1 is presented. The genome is composed of one chromosome (2,932,225 bp) and four plasmids (pLAtcl, pLAtc2, pLAtc3, pLAtcm) and it is rich in repetitive sequences (accounting for 11% of the total genome), which are often associated with transposable genetic elements. In particular, twelve copies of ISAtfe and thirty-seven copies of ISAtcl have been identified, suggesting that they are active transposons in the genome. A. caldus SM-1 encodes all enzymes for the central metabolism and the assimilation of carbon compounds, among which 29 proteins/enzymes were identifiable with proteomic tools. The SM-1 fixes CO2 via the classical Calvin-Bassham--Benson (CBB) cycle, and can operate complete Embden-Meyerhof pathway (EMP), pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), and gluconeogenesis. It has an incomplete tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA). Four putative transporters involved in carbohydrate uptake were identified. Taken together, the results suggested that SM-1 was able to assimilate carbohydrates and this was subsequently confirmed experimentally because addition of 1% glucose or sucrose in basic salt medium significantly increased the growth of SM-1. It was concluded that the complete genome of SM-1 provided fundamental data for further investigation of its physiology and genetics, in addition to the carbon metabolism revealed in this study.展开更多

Methods Twenty-four male Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank, model, Trazodone, and Kaixin Powder groups, six rats in each group. In addition to the blank control group, other groups were established the depression model induced by CUMS combined with isolated feeding. At the same time, Trazodone group and Kaixin Powder group were treated with corresponding drugs for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks of administration, the rats were sacrificed, and a series of indexes were measured such as the contents of 5-HT, m RNA expression levels of 5-HT1 A and 5-HT2 A receptors, protein expression levels of 5-HT1 A and 5-HT2 A receptors, and so on. Results A series of indexes in the model group were decreased significantly such as the body weight growth, the sugar water intake, the score of Open Field Test, the content of5-HT in the hippocampus, expression of m RNA, and protein in 5-HT1 A receptor, while the expression of m RNA and protein in 5-HT2 A receptor were increased significantly.Compared with the model group, the indexes were ameliorated in Trazodone and Kaixin Powder groups. Kaixin Powder is better than Trazodone in decreasing the level of protein in 5-HT2 A receptor. Conclusion The result indicated that the depression performance of depressed rats induced by CUMS can be ameliorated by Kaixin Powder, and the mechanism maybe concerned with increasing the contents of 5-HT, exciting 5-HT1 A receptor, and antagonising 5- HT2 A receptor.展开更多

SARS-CoV-2is airborne and transmits primarily through social contact;however, whether cold chain-related transmission has occurred remains highly debated(Han & Liu, 2022;Lewis,2021;Ma et al., 2021;Mallapaty et al., 2021;Pang et al.,2020;Wu et al., 2021). Here, we present a novel method and identify two transmission routes based on lineage-specific reductions in the SARS-CoV-2 evolutionary rate.

文摘Depression is a kind of mental disorder characterized by conspicuous and persistent low mood, sustained sadness, loss of interest and forgetfulness. Kaixin Powder has the effect of invigorating spleen and eliminating dampness, awaking consciousness and inducing resuscitation, and can adjust the imbalance of gut microbiota and neurotransmitters to achieve the purpose of treating depression.

文摘Background:This study aimed to deeply explore the active components of Danggui Buxue Decoction(DBD)through systematic network pharmacology and molecular docking methods and to demonstrate its mechanism of regulating Thalassemia. Methods:Obtain and screen the active ingredients and targets of DBD from the TCMSP database.Use the GeneCards database to search for the gene corresponding to the target. The target protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was built using STRING database.A DBD-drug-Tha-target PPI network was established, and its core target network was analyzed using Cytoscape software. Then, enrichment analysis of DBD core targets was performed by Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG),and their binding activities were verified by molecular docking.Results:Finally,19 active ingredients and 504 targets were obtained from DBD,of which 98 targets were repeated with the related targets of Tha.The major genes include HSP90AA1,IL-6 and HRAS.Through the final analysis,we found that the main mechanisms of DBD in the treatment of thalassemia include increasing the expression of the γ-globin gene in red blood cells, inducing fetal hemoglobin and reducing the inflammatory response. Conclusion:The potential mechanism of DBD improving thalassemia can be preliminarily predicted by network pharmacology and molecular docking, which can provide some reference for clinical treatment.

文摘Water and liquid are the material basis of human metabolism.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that water and liquid metabolism is a very complex process that requires the synergy of the internal organs, but mainly the physiological functions of the lungs, spleen and kidneys. If the function or structure of the spleen, lungs, kidneys,or triple-burner is abnormal,it is easy to cause abnormalities in the body's water metabolism, which in turn leads to the production of pathological products such as damp phlegm.

文摘Pulse diagnosis is an important basis for the diagnosis of Chinese medicine. It is the rich experience accumulated by the predecessors in the long and continuous practice, and it is a unique diagnosis method of Chinese medicine. There are many names of pulse conditions in traditional Chinese medicine. The four elements are analyzed and summarized in terms of position, number, shape, and momentum. The four elements are used as 28 kinds of pulses.Among them, the regularly intermittent pulse and the intermittent pulse are characterized by arrhythmia and intermittent stop of the pulse.Intermittent pulse means irregular intervals;when a pulse comes,Regularly Intermittent pulse have regular stops. This kind of phenomenon is similar to the bradyarrhythmia in modern medicine. The knot pulse is an irregular pulse stopping, which can be seen clinically in sinus arrest,second-degree type I sinus block,second-degree type I atrioventricular block, and escape beats and so on.On the other hand,Regularly Intermittent pulse is a regular pulse stopping, which can be clinically found in the second degree type II sinus block, the second degree type II sinus block, and the second degree type I atrioventricular block with a special 2:1 type of atrioventricular block type and so on.

文摘Acidithiobacillus caldus is one of the dominant sulfur-oxidizing bacteria in bioleaching reactors. It was concluded that the complete genome of SM-1 provided fundamental data for further investigation of its physiology and genetics, in addition to the carbon metabolism revealed in this study.

文摘Two models are established to reveal the underlying coercivity mechanism for SmCo/Fe films, where one model considers a transition layer between hard and soft layers, while the other model does not consider this layer.Based on the two models, hysteresis loops, nucleation fields and coercivity are obtained by one-dimensional(1 D)and three-dimensional(3 D)micromagnetic methods. In particular, the calculated nucleation fields(H_N)and coercivity(H_C)match very well with the experimental data.It is found that the increase in the soft phase thickness(Ls)leads to a transition of the coercivity mechanism from nucleation to pinning.Such a pinning is inherently related to nucleation and has both attributes of traditional nucleation and pinning, called as a hybrid coercivity mechanism here.It is general for all hard/soft composites and can be extended to single-phased permanent magnets where defects are inevitable.

文摘Background:The ongoing transmission of the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-CoV)in the Middle East and its expansion to other regions are raising concerns of a potential pandemic. An in-depth analysis about both population and molecular epidemiology of this pathogen is needed. Methods:MERS cases reported globally as of June 2020 were collected mainly from World Health Organization official reports, supplemented by other reliable sources.Determinants for case fatality and spatial diffusion of MERS were assessed with Logistic regressions and Cox proportional hazard models, respectively.Phylogenetic and phylogeographic analyses were performed to examine the evolution and migration history of MERS-CoV.Results:A total of 2562 confirmed MERS cases with 150 case clusters were reported with a case fatality rate of 32.7%(95%Cl:30.9-34.6%).Saudi Arabia accounted for 83.6%of the cases.Age of>65 years old, underlying conditions and>5 days delay in diagnosis were independent risk factors for death. However,a history of animal contact was associated with a higher risk(adjusted OR=297,95%Cl:1」0-7.98)among female cases<65 years but with a lower risk(adjusted OR=0.31,95%Cl:0.18-0.51)among male cases>65 years old.Diffusion of the disease was fastest from its origin in Saudi Arabia to the east, and was primarily driven by the transportation network. The most recent subclade C5.1(since 2013)was associated with non-synonymous mutations and a higher mortality rate.Phylogeographic analyses pointed to Riyadh of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates as the hubs for both local and international spread of MERS-CoV.Conclusions:MERS-CoV remains primarily locally transmitted in the Middle East, with opportunistic exportation to other continents and a potential of causing transmission clusters of human cases.Animal contact is associated with a higher risk of death, but the association differs by age and sex.Transportation network is the leading driver for the spatial diffusion ofthe disease. These findings how this pathogen spread are helpful for targeting public health surveillance and interventions to control endemics and to prevent a potential pandemic.

文摘Objective To observe the influence of Kaixin Powder on ethology, content of 5-HT in the hippocampus, expression of m RNA, and protein in 5-HT1 A and 5-HT2 A receptors in the hippocampus of depressed rats induced by chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS). Conclusion The result indicated that the depression performance of depressed rats induced by CUMS can be ameliorated by Kaixin Powder, and the mechanism maybe concerned with increasing the contents of 5-HT, exciting 5-HT1 A receptor, and antagonising 5- HT2 A receptor.

文摘The complete genome of methanol-utilizing Amycolatopsis methanolica strain 239T was generated, revealing a single 7,237,391 nucleotide circular chromosome with 7074 annotated protein-coding sequences(CDSs).Comparative analyses against the complete genome sequences of Amycolatopsis japonica strain MG417-CF17T,Amycolatopsis mediterranei strain U32 and Amycolatopsis orientalis strain HCCB10007 revealed a broad spectrum of genomic structures, including various genome sizes,core/quasi-core/non-core configurations and different kinds of episomes.Although polyketide synthase gene clusters were absent from the A.methanolica genome,12 gene clusters related to the biosynthesis of other specialized(secondary)metabolites were identified.Complete pathways attributable to the facultative methylotrophic physiology of A.methanolica strain 239T,including both the mdo/mscR encoded methanol oxidation and the hps/hpi encoded formaldehyde assimilation via the ribulose monophosphate cycle, were identified together with evidence that the latter might be the result of horizontal gene transfer.Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rDNA or orthologues of AMETH_3452,a novel actinobacterial class-specific conserved gene against 62 or 18 Amycolatopsis type strains, respectively, revealed three major phyletic lineages, namely the mesophilic or moderately thermophilic A.orientalis subclade(AOS),the mesophilic Amycolatopsis taiwanensis subclade(ATS)and the thermophilic A.methanolica subclade(AMS).The distinct growth temperatures of members of the subclades correlated with corresponding genetic variations in their encoded compatible solutes. This study shows the value of integrating conventional taxonomic with whole genome sequence data.

文摘CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics doped with different contents of Sc203 (mol%, x = 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20) were prepared by the traditional solid-state reaction method. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used in the microstructural studies of the specimen, and the electrical properties were inves- tigated. XRD results show that the Sc has no influence on the phase composition. The results from the dielectric measurements show that further increase of Sc doping could decrease the dielectric loss slightly. A high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss can be achieved when the doping concentration is 0.10 mol%.
