Jinshan gold deposit is located in northeastern Jiangxi,South China, which is related to the ductile shear zone.It has a gold reserve of more than 200 tons, with 80%of gold occurring in pyrite. The LREE of gold-bearing pyrite is as higher as 171.664 ppm on average, with relatively higher light rare earth elements(LREE;159.556 ppm) and lower HREE(12.108 ppm).TheΣLREE/ΣHREE ratio is 12.612 and(La/Yb)_N is 11.765.These indicate that pyrite is rich in LREE.The(La/Sm)_N ratio is 3.758 and that of(Gd/Yb)_N is 1.695.These are obvious LREE fractionations. The rare earth element(REE) distribution patterns show obvious Eu anomaly with averageδEu values of 0.664,andδCe anomalies of 1.044.REE characteristics are similar to those of wall rocks(regional metamorphic rocks),but different from those of the Dexing granodiorite porphyry and Damaoshan biotite granite. These features indicate that the ore-forming materials in the Jinshan gold deposit derived from the wall rocks, and the ore-forming fluids derived from metamorphic water. The Co/Ni ratio(average value 0.38) of pyrite suggests that the Jinshan gold deposit formed under a medium-low temperature. It is inferred from the values of high-field strength elements,LREE,Hf/Sm,Nb/La,and Th/La of the pyrite that the ore-forming fluids of the Jinshan gold deposit derived from metamorphic water with Cl〉F. 展开更多

Zircon U-Pb dating by the LA-ICP-MS method was applied to determining the ages of different units of the Guposhan granite complex, among which the East Guposhan unit is 160.8±1.6 Ma, the West Guposhan unit is 165.0±1.9 Ma, and the Lisong unit is 163.0±1.3 Ma in age. Much similarity in ages of the three units has thus proved that the whole Guposhan granite complex was formed in the same period of time. They were the products of large-scale granitic magmatism through crust-remelting in the first stage of the Middle Yanshanian in South China. However, the three units have differences both in petrology and in geochemistry. Besides the differences in major, trace and rare-earth elements, they are distinct in their Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd isotopic compositions. The East Guposhan unit and Lisong unit and its enclaves have a similar (87Sr/86Sr)i value of 0.7064 with an average of εNd(t)=-3.03, indicating that more mantle material was evolved in the magma derivation; whereas the West Guposhan unit has a higher (87Sr/86Sr)i value of 0.7173 but a lower εNd(t) value of -5.00, and is characterized by strong negative Eu anomalies and higher Rb/Sr ratios, suggesting that its source materials were composed of relatively old crust components and new mantle-derived components. In addition, an inherited zircon grain in the East Guposhan unit (GP-1) yielded a 206Pb/238U age of 806.4 Ma, which is similar to the ages of the Jiulin cordierite granite in northern Jiangxi and of the Yinqiao migmatic granite in Guangxi in the HZH granite zone. All this may provide new evidence for Late Proterozoic magmatism in the HZH granite zone. 展开更多

The Jinshan gold deposit is located in the Northeast Jiangxi province,South China, which related to the ductile shear zone.It contains two ore types,i.e.the alteration-type ore and the goldbearing quartz vein ore.Rb-Sr age dating is applied to both gold-bearing pyrite in the alteration-type ore and fluid inclusion in the gold-bearing quartz vein to make clear the time of the gold mineralization of the Jinshan deposit.Analytical results of this study yielded that the age of the alteration-type ore bodies is about 838±110Ma,with an initial 87Sr/86Sr value of 0.7045±0.0020.However,the age of the gold-bearing quartz vein-type ore is about 379±49Ma,and the initial 87Sr/86Sr is 0.7138±0.0011.Based on the age data from this work and many previous studies, the authors consider that the Jinshan gold deposit is a product of multi-staged mineralization, which may include the Jinninian,Caledonian,Hercynian, and Yanshanian Periods.Among them, the Jinninian Period and the Hercynian Period might be the two most important ore-forming periods for Jinshan deposit. The Jinninian Period is the main stage for the formation of alteration-type ore bodies, while the Hercynian Period is the major time for ore bodies of gold-bearing quartz vein type. The initial values of the 87Sr/86Sr from this study,as well as the previous isotope and trace element studies, indicate that the ore-forming materials mainly derived from the metamorphic wall rocks, and the ore-forming fluids mainly originated from the deep metamorphic water. 展开更多

The Guidong granitic complex is constituted by Luxi pluton, Xiazhuang pluton, Maofeng pluton, Sundong pluton, Aizi pluton and Siqian pluton, which intruded in Indosinian and early Yanshanian Periods. These plutons varies from each other not only in major element content, aluminium saturation index, but also in ∑REE, δEu, and LREE/HREE, (La/Yb)N, (La/Sm) N and (Gd/Yb) N ratios. Uranium mineralization is mainly hosted by strong peraluminous granites, which has undergone intense fluid-rock interaction, and their REE compositions are characterised by M-type tetrad effects and lower ∑REE, δEu value, LREE/HREE, (La/Yb) N, (La/Sm) N and (Gd/Yb) N ratios. 展开更多

The large-scale Huangshaping Pb-Zn-W-Mo polymetallic deposit is located in the central Nanling min- eralization zone, South China. Six molybdenite samples from the Huangshaping deposit were selected for Re-Os isotope measurement in order to define the mineralization age of the deposit. It yields a Re-Os isochron age of 154.8±1.9 Ma (2σ ), which is in accordance with the Re-Os model ages of 150.9― 156.9 Ma. This age is about 7 Ma younger than their host granite porphyry, which was dated as 161.6±1.1 Ma by zircon U-Pb method using LA-ICPMS. All these ages demonstrate that the Huang- shaping granite and related Pb-Zn-W-Mo deposit occurred in the middle Yanshanian period, when many other granitoid and related ore deposits emplaced and formed, e.g. the Qitianling granite and Furong tin deposit, the Qianlishan granite and giant Shizhuyuan W-Sn-Mo-Bi deposit and Jinchuantang Sn-Bi deposit in the nearby area. They constitute the main part of the magmatic-metallogenic belt of southern Hunan, and represent the large-scale metallogeny in middle Yanshanian in the area. The lower rhenium content in molybdenite of Huangshaping deposit suggests that the ore-forming material was mainly of crust origin. 展开更多

There are many scheelite-quartz veins around the granite. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating was carried out for zircons from the granite. The middlecoarse-grained biotite granite has U-Pb ages of 435 to 436 Ma. Ages of 426.5±2.5 Ma were obtained for aplitic dyke cross-cutting the granite. The scheelite of magmatic origin in the aplite dyke was identified from petrographic investigation. This demonstrates that W-bearing granites of Early Paleozoic (corresponding to the Caledonian orogensis in the traditional sense) occur in the Nanling Range. This finding has important implications for the ore-forming potential of Paleozoic granites and on the extent of Mesozoic mineralization. Thus it merits performing an intensive study of Paleozoic granites in South China. The occurrences of aplite or microgranite may be an indicative of the Caledonian tungsten granites and associated W mineralization. 展开更多

Isotopic abundances and ratios of He and Ar found in inclusion fluids in pyrites formed in the Yaoling-Meiziwo tungsten miner-alization epoch show that the concentration of 4He varies widely, from 1.54×10-7 cm3 STP/g to 2609×10-7 cm3 STP/g.3He is 0.759×10-12 cm3 STP/g-3.463×10-12 cm3 STP/g.3He/4He is 0.0043-4.362 Ra,varying from crustal to mantle values. The concen-tration of 40Ar ranges from 0.624×10-7 cm3 STP/g to 8.89×10-7 cm3 STP/g.The 40Ar/36Ar varies extensively, from 330 to 2952,between atmospheric and crustal or mantle radiogenic values.Mantle-derived He is present in ore-forming fluids and the calcu-lated average proportion of the mantle He is 22%;the maximum is 67%.Our research results show that mantle-derived fluids play a significant role in tungsten mineralization. The fractionation of He and Ar indicate that there was 4He-enriched air-saturated water(MSAW) in the ore-forming fluid. The ore-forming fluid was a mixture of mantle fluid, crustal magmatic fluid and MSAW.The occurrence of a mantle component in ore-forming fluid indicates the large-scale W and Sn mineralization, including Yaol-ing-Meiziwo,in southeastern China was the result of crust and mantle interaction. The underplating or intrusion of voluminous basaltic magma formed by partial melting of the upper mantle provided the necessary heat to cause partial melting of the crust and the generation of voluminous S-type granitic magmas.Crustal magmatic fluid and mantle fluid with high 3He/4He were released from magma crystallization and fractionation, mixed with the circulating modified air-saturated water, and filled the extensional tectonic fractures, leading to the formation of world-class W and Sn deposits in southeastern China. 展开更多
