The materials used in the FEM calculation were ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), 316L stainless steel, CoCrMo alloy and Ti6A14V alloy. The stress distribution, strain, and elastic deformation under static and dynamic conditions were obtained. Analysis and comparison of the ~alculation results of different models were conducted. It is shown that with the same parameters the model of a metallic femur head covered with an artificial cartilage layer is more similar to the structure of the natural human joint and its mechanical characteristics are the best of the four models.展开更多
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the treatment of myopic foveoschisis patients using the macular buckling with L-shaped titanium plate and silicon sponge combined with vitrectomy...The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the treatment of myopic foveoschisis patients using the macular buckling with L-shaped titanium plate and silicon sponge combined with vitrectomy. The data of the patients who underwent macular buckling combined with vitrectomy was collected. The study recorded the following parameters:best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), axial length, intraocular pressure, central macular thickness, and the position of the titanium plate. Following the surgery, the BCVA of the included patients were improved, whereas the axial lengths were reduced followed by resolution of the foveoschisis compared with that noted prior to the operations. All patients had orbital CT examination and the results indicated that the titanium plates were appropriately placed and were not in contact with the optic nerve. Therefore, it is effective to treat myopic foveaschisis by macular buckling using the L-shaped titanium plate and silicon sponge in the presence of vitrectomy.展开更多

METHODS: db/db mice were randomly chosen for treatment with da...AIM: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of fluorofenidone on disrupted blood-retinal barrier in the diabetic mice and uncover its underlying mechanism. METHODS: db/db mice were randomly chosen for treatment with daily doses of fluorofenidone or placebo at 5-week-old, treatment continued until mice reach 24-week- old. Then, expression of transcriptiona factor insulin gene enhancer binding protein-1 (Islet-I) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in murine retinas were evaluated. Retinal vascular permeability was assessed by examining the level of albumin in db/db murine retinas. Furthermore, the retinal vessel tight junction was estimated by checking the level of occludin in the murine retinal tissues. RESULTS: After occurrence of diabetic retinopthy in db/ db mice, expressions of transcritpional factor Islet-1 was found to be upregulated in db/db murine retinas compared with non-diabetic controls. Similar to expression pattern of Islet-l, VEGF were also demonstrated to be increased in retinas of db/db mice, which was accompanied by increased retinal vascular leakage and decreased tight junction protein level. Systemetic administration of fluorofenidone repaired broken retinal vascular tight junction by restoring occludin expression in db/db retinal tissue. Consequently, retinal vascular premeability were indicated to be reduced by examining the transudative albumin level in diabetic retinal tissues. Both Islet-1 and VEGF expression were inhibited in the retinas of db/db mice after treatment with fluorofenidone. CONCLUSION: Fluorofenidone significantly protectes retinal tight junction and reduces retinal vascular leakage. The phenomenon can be partially attributed to reducing overexpression of Islet-1 and VEGF in diabetic retinal tissues.展开更多

The two-parameter bifurcation analysis of the memristive map is carried out to reveal the bifurcation mechanism of its dynamical behaviors. Based on our extensive simulation studies, the proposed memristive maps can produce hidden periodic, chaotic, and hyper-chaotic attractors, exhibiting extremely hidden multistability, namely the coexistence of infinite hidden attractors, which was rarely observed in memristive maps. Based on the approximation capability of fuzzy systems, a novel adaptive fuzzy and impulsive control strategy with supervisory controller is developed. With the help of a supervisory controller, global stability of the resulting closed-loop system is established in the sense that all signals involved are uniformly bounded. Furthermore, the adaptive compensation term of the upper bound function of the sum of residual and approximation error is adopted to reduce the effects of modeling error. By the generalized Barbalat's lemma, the tracking error between the output of the system and the reference signal is proved to be convergent to zero Asymptotically. Methods: A total of 60 elderly patients with seve...Objective:To study the effect of Xuebijing, thymopentin combined with symptomatic treatment on inflammatory response process in elderly patients with severe pneumonia. Methods: A total of 60 elderly patients with severe pneumonia who were treated in the hospital between August 2014 and July 2016 were collected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table, 30 cases in each group. Control group received clinical symptomatic treatment, and observation group received Xuebijing, thymopentin combined with symptomatic treatment. The differences in serum pro-inflammatory factors, anti-inflammatory factors as well as liver and kidney function indexes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results: Before treatment, differences in serum levels of pro-inflammatory factors, anti-inflammatory factors as well as liver and kidney function indexes were not statistically significant between the two groups. After treatment, serum IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-4, IL-13, TB, ALT, AKP, Scr and CysC levels of both groups of patients were lower than those before treatment, and serum IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-4, IL-13, TB, ALT, AKP, Scr and CysC levels of observation group were lower than those of control group.Conclusion: Xuebijing, thymopentin combined with symptomatic treatment can effectively inhibit the degree of systemic inflammatory response and reduce the liver and kidney function injury in elderly patients with severe pneumonia.展开更多
Phosphorus concentration on the surface of seawater varies greatly with different environments,especially in coastal.The molecular mechanism by which cyanobacteria adapt to fluctuating phosphorus bioavailability is st...Phosphorus concentration on the surface of seawater varies greatly with different environments,especially in coastal.The molecular mechanism by which cyanobacteria adapt to fluctuating phosphorus bioavailability is still unclear.In this study,transcriptomes and gene knockouts were used to investigate the adaptive molecular mechanism of a model coastal cyanobacterium Synechococcus sp.PCC 7002 during periods of phosphorus starvation and phosphorus recovery(adding sufficient phosphorus after phosphorus starvation).The findings indicated that phosphorus deficiency affected the photosynthesis,ribosome synthesis,and bacterial motility pathways,which recommenced after phosphorus was resupplied.Even more,most of the metabolic pathways of cyanobacteria were enhanced after phosphorus recovery compared to the control which was kept in continuous phosphorus replete conditions.Based on transcriptome,54 genes potentially related to phosphorusdeficiency adaptation were selected and knocked out individually or in combination.It was found that five mutants showed weak growth phenotype under phosphorus deficiency,indicating the importance of the genes(A0076,A0549-50,A1094,A1320,A1895)in the adaptation of phosphorus deficiency.Three mutants were found to grow better than the wild type under phosphorus deficiency,suggesting that the products of these genes(A0079,A0340,A2284–86)might influence the adaptation to phosphorus deficiency.Bioinformatics analysis revealed that cyanobacteria exposed to highly fluctuating phosphorus concentrations have more sophisticated phosphorus acquisition strategies.These results elucidated that Synechococcus sp.PCC 7002 have variable phosphorus response mechanisms to adapt to fluctuating phosphorus concentration,providing a novel perspective of how cyanobacteria may respond to the complex and dynamic environments.展开更多
Over the past decades,there have been many synthesis methods on producing well-defined crystals,due to their enormous application potentials in industrial field.Among them,high temperature gas-phase reactions(HTGR)app...Over the past decades,there have been many synthesis methods on producing well-defined crystals,due to their enormous application potentials in industrial field.Among them,high temperature gas-phase reactions(HTGR)approach may be one of the most promising processes for fabrication of well-defined crystals with controllable structure,size,shape,and composition.This review is focused on the recent progresses in synthesizing well-defined crystalline TiO2dominated with,respectively,{001}facets and{105}facets,one-dimensional ZnO and SnO2nanorods/nanowires,MoS2nanosheets as well as GaP,InP,and GaAs nanowires via HTGR approach.Although these research works were currently carried out on experimental scale,it is worth to note that the industrial importance of this HTGR approach for design and fabrication of well-defined crystals in the future owing to its advantages of continuous and scalable production with controlled dimensions and low cost.展开更多
The suspension characteristics of ultrafine powder slurry in the stirred vessel were simulated by using computational fluid dynamics.The results show that the Rushton disk turbine impeller is more conducive to maintai...The suspension characteristics of ultrafine powder slurry in the stirred vessel were simulated by using computational fluid dynamics.The results show that the Rushton disk turbine impeller is more conducive to maintaining suspended homogeneity and circulation of slurry compared with the pitch blade turbine pumping up impeller and the pitch blade turbine pumping down impeller.And the increase in stirring speed enhances turbulent fluctuation and anisotropic velocity of the fluid at the cost of more power consumption,which improves dispersibility and suspensibility of the particles.Meanwhile,the change of impeller clearance has a weak influence on the flow pattern,and the impeller clearance of 0.32T(T is the diameter of the bottom of the reactor)can achieve better dispersivity and suspensibility of the particles with lower power consumption and larger axial velocity.The experiments of surface coating modification of ultrafine titanium dioxide(TiO2)were carried out under the same conditions for those of the simulation system.The surface film morphology and photocatalytic properties of the modified TiO2 were analyzed,and the obtained data are well consistent with the simulation results.展开更多

文摘The suspension characteristics of ultrafine powder slurry in the stirred vessel were simulated by using computational fluid dynamics.The results show that the Rushton disk turbine impeller is more conducive to maintaining suspended homogeneity and circulation of slurry compared with the pitch blade turbine pumping up impeller and the pitch blade turbine pumping down impeller.And the increase in stirring speed enhances turbulent fluctuation and anisotropic velocity of the fluid at the cost of more power consumption,which improves dispersibility and suspensibility of the particles.Meanwhile,the change of impeller clearance has a weak influence on the flow pattern,and the impeller clearance of 0.32T(T is the diameter of the bottom of the reactor)can achieve better dispersivity and suspensibility of the particles with lower power consumption and larger axial velocity.The experiments of surface coating modification of ultrafine titanium dioxide(TiO2)were carried out under the same conditions for those of the simulation system.The surface film morphology and photocatalytic properties of the modified TiO2 were analyzed,and the obtained data are well consistent with the simulation results.
