Mediating role of social support in dysphoria,despondency,and quality of life in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis

BACKGROUND Dysphoria and despondency are prevalent psychological issues in patients undergoing Maintenance Hemodialysis(MHD)that significantly affect their quality of life(QOL).High levels of social support can significantly improve the physical and mental well-being of patients undergoing MHD.Currently,there is limited research on how social support mediates the relationship between dysphoria,despondency,and overall QOL in patients undergoing MHD.It is imperative to investigate this mediating effect to mitigate dysphoria and despondency in patients undergoing MHD,ultimately enhancing their overall QOL.AIM To investigate the mediating role of social support in relationships between dysphoria,despondency,and QOL among patients undergoing MHD.METHODS Participants comprised 289 patients undergoing MHD,who were selected using a random sampling approach.The Social Support Rating Scale,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,Self-Rating Depression Scale,and QOL Scale were administered.Correlation analysis was performed to examine the associations between social support,dysphoria,despondency,and QOL in patients undergoing MHD.To assess the mediating impact of social support on dysphoria,despondency,and QOL in patients undergoing MHD,a bootstrap method was applied.RESULTS Significant correlations among social support,dysphoria,despondency,and quality in patients undergoing MHD were observed(all P<0.01).Dysphoria and despondency negatively correlated with social support and QOL(P<0.01).Dysphoria and despondency had negative predictive impacts on the QOL of patients undergoing MHD(P<0.05).The direct effect of dysphoria on QOL was statistically significant(P<0.05).Social support mediated the relationship between dysphoria and QOL,and this mediating effect was significant(P<0.05).Similarly,the direct effect of despondency on QOL was significant(P<0.05).Moreover,social support played a mediating role between despondency and QOL,with a significant mediating effect(P<0.05).CONCLUSION These findings suggest that social support plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between dysphoria,despondency,and QOL in patients undergoing MHD.

Discussion on the Theory of Pricking Blood in Nei Jing from the Perspective of Time

Objective:The purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of time factors recorded in Nei Jing,such as changes of Yin Yang in four seasons,the wax and wane of the moon and the rhythm of Yin Yang in a day,on pricking blood therapy.Methods:The contents of pricking blood according to time in Nei Jing is studied by using the method of literature review.Results:Through the research,this paper concludes that(1)pricking blood according to time takes"the correspondence between nature and man"as the dominant thought,"meridian Qi and Blood"as the regulating object,and"time factor"as the specie operation key,which reflects the influence of time on pricking blood therapy;(2)pricking blood therapy has different speci行c operations according to different time,which can be roughly divided into three situations.One is to prick blood according to the change of seasons,pricking shallowly with expelling less blood in spring and summer and pricking deeply with squeezing more blood out in autumn and winter.The second is pricking blood according to the laws of moon's wax and wane.When the moon is born,the amount of bleeding should be less;when the moon is full,the amount of bleeding should be more;when the moon wanes,pricking blood therapy should not be used.Thirdly,take pricking blood therapy according to circadian rhythm.It is more suitable to use pricking blood therapy in the morning than afternoon.Conclusion:As a characteristic therapy of TCM,pricking blood embodies the idea of"the correspondence between nature and man"in TCM.Adopting different pricking blood rules according to the change of time can improve the clinical therapeutic effect.The thought of pricking according to time plays an important guiding role in the application of pricking blood therapy in clinic.

The influence of the study of Confucianism and Taoism on the connotation of Shen in Nei Jing

This article analyzes the connotation of Shen in Confucianism and Taoism and Shen in Nei Jing by using the method of literature review,and it raises:the two are closely related.First of all,on the basis of the meaning of"god"before the pre-Qin period,the study of Confucianism and Taoism enriches the connotation of Shen,it extracts many implications,such as"magic","unpredictable","mental spirits","Xin Shen","intelligence","laws"etc.,endowing Shen with philosophy meanings.Secondly,Nei Jing introduces Shen with philosophy meanings into the field of Chinese medicine to explain phenomena related to life,at the same time,it confirms the reality of Shen and constructs a complete Shen theory system.

Effect of Wuguteng tablets in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia

Objective:To observe the application effect of Wuguteng tablets in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).Methods: A total of 60 patients with AML who were admitted in The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from March, 2015 to January, 2016 were included in the study and divided into the study group and the control group with 30 cases in each group according to different treatment protocols. The patients in the two groups were given routine chemotherapy regimens. On this basis, the patients in the study group were given additional Wuguteng tablets. ECOG value, blood routine examination results, and average transfusion interval before treatment and 2 months after treatment in the two groups were compared in order to estimate the therapeutic effect.Results:The comparison of WBC and Hb count after treatment between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). PLT count after treatment in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). ECOG and RBC average transfusion interval after treatment in the study group were not significantly different from those before treatment (P>0.05), while PLT average transfusion interval was significantly delayed when compared with before treatment (P<0.05). ECOG after treatment in the study group was significantly elevated (P<0.05), while PLT average transfusion interval was significantly reduced when compared with before treatment (P<0.05). ECOG after treatment in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), while PLT average transfusion interval was significantly delayed when compared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions:Wuguteng tablets in the adjuvant treatment of AML can significantly delay PLT average transfusion interval, increase PLT, and improve the clinical symptoms;therefore, it deserves to be widely recommended in the clinic.

Multi-person vision tracking approach based on human body localization features

This paper presents a multi-person vision tracking approach based on human body localization features to address the problem of interactive object localization and tracking in a home monitoring scenario.Firstly,the human body localization model is used to obtain the 3D position of the human body,which is then used to construct the human body motion model based on the Kalman filter method.At the same time,the human appearance model is constructed by fusing human color features and features of the histogram of oriented gradient to better characterize the human body.Secondly,the human body observation model is constructed based on the human body motion model and appearance model to measure the similarities between the human body state sequence in the historical frame and the human body observation result in the current frame,and the cost matrix is then obtained.Thirdly,the Hungarian maximum matching algorithm is employed to match each human body in the current and historical frames,and the exception detection mechanism is simultaneously constructed to further reduce the probability of human tracking and matching failure.Finally,a multi-person vision tracking verification platform was constructed,and the achieved average accuracy was 96.6%in the case of human body overlapping,occlusion,disappearance,and appearance;this verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
