Objective:Nowadays,the medical model is constantly changing,and the problem of how to improve the quality of life of peritoneal dialysis patients arises at a historic moment.This paper observes the publication and coo...Objective:Nowadays,the medical model is constantly changing,and the problem of how to improve the quality of life of peritoneal dialysis patients arises at a historic moment.This paper observes the publication and cooperation of research countries and institutions related to the quality of life of peritoneal dialysis patients,understands the research hotspots,explores the research trends,and provides a reference for further research by scholars.Methods:The search database was the Web of Science core collection,the search terms“peritoneal dialysis”and“quality of life”,the document type“Article or Review”,the language“English”and the period from 1985 to 2022.Results:A total of 1,597 literature were retrieved,and the number of documents showed an annual increase.The United States has the highest volume and centrality of publications and the most cooperation with other countries.The institution with the largest number of articles is the University of Toronto in Canada.The top three most highly cited documents were analyzed to derive the knowledge base of the research area.According to the analysis of keywords,there are high-frequency keywords such as“quality of life”and“peritoneal dialysis”and 11 keyword clusters.Understand the changing trends and frontiers in the research field through timeline maps and mutated words.Conclusion:The comparison of quality of life between peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis and the study of factors influencing the quality of life is a hot research topic.With the gradual deepening of the research,it is suggested that future research should focus on the intervention research of influencing factors and clarify the intervention measures to improve patients’quality of life.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to identify the mediation effects of health locus of control(HLC)and hope between stroke patients’social support and self-management.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.A total of...Objective:This study aimed to identify the mediation effects of health locus of control(HLC)and hope between stroke patients’social support and self-management.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.A total of 300 Chinese stroke patients were recruited by convenient sampling from the acupuncture department of two Chinese Traditional Medical Hospitals in Tianjin Province from June to September 2018.The self-report questionnaires include Social Support Assessment Scale,Herth Hope Index,Mental Health Locus of Control Scale,Stroke Self-management Behavior Scale,and personal information questionnaires.All the survey data were entered in Excel and analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program.Mediation was tested with Bootstrapping in AMOS 23.0 program.Results:The result showed that internal health locus of control(IHLC),chance health locus of control(CHLC)and hope were the mediators between social support and self-management.The direct,indirect,and total effects of social support on self-management behavior were 0.306 (P<0.01),0.109(P<0.01),and 0.415(P<0.01),respectively.Conclusions:Social support can directly influence self-management,and it can also indirectly influence self-management through IHLC,CHLC,and hope.展开更多
BACKGROUND Median arcuate ligament syndrome(MALS)is relatively rare and is due to extraluminal compression of the coeliac artery by the median arcuate ligament of the diaphragm.Here,we report a case of MALS found in a...BACKGROUND Median arcuate ligament syndrome(MALS)is relatively rare and is due to extraluminal compression of the coeliac artery by the median arcuate ligament of the diaphragm.Here,we report a case of MALS found in a patient with abdominal pain and retroperitoneal haemorrhage for education and dissemination.CASE SUMMARY This article describes a 46-year-old female patient who was admitted to our hospital with abdominal pain as her chief complaint.She had experienced no obvious symptoms but had retroperitoneal bleeding during the course of the disease.Contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)and noninvasive CT angiography(CTA)led to an initial misdiagnosis of pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysm(PDAA)causing retroperitoneal hemorrhage.After intraoperative exploration and detailed analysis of enhanced CT and CTA images,a final diagnosis of MALS was made.The cause of the haemorrhage was bleeding from a branch of the gastroduodenal artery,not rupture of a PDAA.The prognosis of MALS combined with PDAA treated by laparoscopy and interventional therapy is still acceptable.The patient was temporarily treated by gastroduodenal suture haemostasis and was referred for further treatment.CONCLUSION MALS is very rare and usually has postprandial abdominal pain,upper abdominal murmur,and weight loss.It is diagnosed by imaging or due to complications.When a patient has abdominal bleeding or PDAA,we should consider whether the patient has celiac trunk stenosis(MALS or other etiology).When abdominal bleeding is combined with an aneurysm,we generally think of aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage first,but it may also be collateral artery rupture and hemorrhage.展开更多
