The prognosis of PC patients treated by conventional systemic chemotherapy is poor, with a median survival of < 6 mo. However, over the past three decades, an integrated treatment strategy of cytoreductive surgery(CRS) + hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC) has been developed by the pioneering oncologists, with proved efficacy and safety in selected patients. Supported by several lines of clinical evidence from phases Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ clinical trials, CRS + HIPEC has been regarded as the standard treatment for selected patients with PC in many established cancer centers worldwide. In China, an expert consensus on CRS + HIPEC has been reached by the leading surgical and medical oncologists, under the framework of the China Anti-Cancer Association. This expert consensus has summarized the progress in PC clinical studies and systematically evaluated the CRS + HIPEC procedures in China as well as across the world, so as to lay the foundation for formulating PC treatment guidelines specific to the national conditions of China.展开更多

SEM, EDS and Raman spectra analyses were applied to studying the adsorpti...The adsorption behavior of ion exchange resin D301 in the extraction of hexavalent molybdenum from high acidic leach solution was investigated. SEM, EDS and Raman spectra analyses were applied to studying the adsorption capacity, reaction kinetics and possible adsorption mechanism in detail. Results showed that the adsorption capacity of D301 resin for molybdenum from high acidic leach solution was up to 463.63 mg/g. Results of the kinetic analysis indicated that the adsorption process was controlled by the particle diffusion with the activation energy 25.47 k J/mol(0.9-1.2 mm) and 20.38 k J/mol(0.6-0.9 mm). Furthermore, the molybdenum loaded on the resin could be eluted by using 2 mol/L ammonia hydroxide solution. Besides, dynamic continuous column experiments verified direct extraction of molybdenum from acidic leach solutions by ion exchange resin D301 and the upstream flow improved dynamic continuous absorption.展开更多
Al-containing coatings were prepared on AZ31 magnesium alloy by pack-cementation technology.X-ray diffraction(XRD),backscattered electron imaging(BSEI)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)were jointly employed to ch...Al-containing coatings were prepared on AZ31 magnesium alloy by pack-cementation technology.X-ray diffraction(XRD),backscattered electron imaging(BSEI)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)were jointly employed to characterize the phases,microstructure and composition of the coated samples.The results show that the feedstock composition has a significant impact on the phases,microstructure and thickness of the coatings.For the sample with AlCl3 powder as the activator,the coating is very thick and composed of gradient phases and structures from surface to inside,including small amount ofb-Mg2Al3,coarse eutectic-like structure ofγ-Mg17Al12+δ-Mg,and fineγ-Mg17Al12 precipitations.In contrast,for the sample with AlCl3 and pure Al composite powders as the activator,the coating is relatively thin and contains a thin Al2O3 layer and a small amount of fineγ-Mg17Al12 precipitates.For the pack-cementation aluminizing that is not protected by high-vacuum or inert gas,the addition of pure Al powders can easily introduce the Al2O3 layer into the coating to prevent active Al ions further penetrating into the magnesium matrix,resulting in the thin Al-containing coating.The microhardness and corrosion behavior of the two kinds of aluminized coatings were also studied and discussed.展开更多

Moreover, the greyish-green α-CrOOH with a hexagonal plate-like morphology and a large size of 10 μm is formed via the hydrolysis of the single-phase hexagonal KCrO2, while the green sol-gel of amorphous Cr(OH)3 with a lumpy aggregate morphology is generated through the hydrolysis of a cubic K3 CrO4. BACKGROUND Pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP)is a rare mucinous neoplasm with a relatively low incidence of 1 to 2 per million individuals.It is typically characterized by a type of gelatinous ascites named“jelly belly”.Mo...BACKGROUND Pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP)is a rare mucinous neoplasm with a relatively low incidence of 1 to 2 per million individuals.It is typically characterized by a type of gelatinous ascites named“jelly belly”.Most cases of PMP occur in association with ruptured primary mucinous tumors of the appendix(90%).Periodically,PMP can originate from mucinous carcinomas at other sites,including the colorectum,gallbladder,and pancreas.However,unusual origin can occur,as noted in this case report.CASE SUMMARY A 52-year-old woman had an unusual derivation of PMP from intestinal duplication.The patient complained of abdominal distension and increasing abdominal girth.Abdominal contrast-enhanced computed tomography showed a mass in the greater omentum located on the left side of the abdomen,likely to be a cystic mass of peritoneal origin.A PMP diagnosis was presumed based on the specific signs of the mass with flocculent and stripe-like echoes in ultrasound images.Ultrasound-guided percutaneous aspiration suggested a high likelihood of PMP.Once the PMP diagnosis was recognized,identification of the origin of the primary tumor was indicated.Thus,an exploratory laparoscopy was performed.In the absence of a primary tumor of appendix origin,the diagnosis of a low-grade mucinous neoplasm of intestinal duplication origin was finally confirmed by histopathology.CONCLUSION PMP is secondary to mucinous carcinomas of the appendix mostly.This case resulted from an unusual derivation from intestinal duplication.展开更多
