BACKGROUND The FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring(FGM)system entered the Chinese market in 2017 to complement the self-monitoring of blood glucose.Due to its increased usage in clinics,the number of studies inve...BACKGROUND The FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring(FGM)system entered the Chinese market in 2017 to complement the self-monitoring of blood glucose.Due to its increased usage in clinics,the number of studies investigating its accuracy has increased.However,its accuracy has not been investigated in highland populations in China.AIM To evaluate measurements recorded using the FreeStyle Libre FGM system compared with capillary blood glucose measured using the enzyme electrode method in patients with type 2 diabetes(T2D)who had migrated within 3 mo from highlands to plains.METHODS Overall,68 patients with T2D,selected from those who had recently migrated from highlands to plains(within 3 mo),were hospitalized at the Department of Endocrinology from August to October 2017 and underwent continuous glucose monitoring(CGM)with the FreeStyle Libre FGM system for 14 d.Throughout the study period,fingertip capillary blood glucose was measured daily using the enzyme electrode method(Super GL,China),and blood glucose levels were read from the scanning probe during fasting and 2 h after all three meals.Moreover,the time interval between reading the data from the scanning probe and collecting fingertip capillary blood was controlled to<5 min.The accuracy of the FGM system was evaluated according to the CGM guidelines.Subsequently,the factors influencing the mean absolute relative difference(MARD)of this system were analyzed by a multiple linear regression method.RESULTS Pearson’s correlation analysis showed that the fingertip and scanned glucose levels were positively correlated(R=0.86,P=0.00).The aggregated MARD of scanned glucose was 14.28±13.40%.Parker's error analysis showed that 99.30%of the data pairs were located in areas A and B.According to the probe wear time of the FreeStyle Libre FGM system,MARD_(1 d) and MARD_(2-14 d) were 16.55%and 14.35%,respectively(t=1.23,P=0.22).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that MARD did not correlate with blood glucose when the largest amplitude of glycemic excursion(LAGE)was<5.80 mmol/L but negatively correlated with blood glucose when the LAGE was≥5.80 mmol/L.CONCLUSION The FreeStyle Libre FGM system has good accuracy in patients with T2D who had recently migrated from highlands to plains.This system might be ideal for avoiding the effects of high hematocrit on blood glucose monitoring in populations that recently migrated to plains.MARD is mainly influenced by glucose levels and fluctuations,and the accuracy of the system is higher when the blood glucose fluctuation is small.In case of higher blood glucose level fluctuations,deviation in the scanned glucose levels is the highest at extremely low blood glucose levels.展开更多
Objective:To discuss the relationship of ultrasonic shear wave velocity (SWV) with oncogene and tumor suppressor gene expression in primary liver cancer lesions as well as angiogenesis factor contents.Methods:100 pati...Objective:To discuss the relationship of ultrasonic shear wave velocity (SWV) with oncogene and tumor suppressor gene expression in primary liver cancer lesions as well as angiogenesis factor contents.Methods:100 patients with primary liver cancer who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital between March 2014 and September 2016 were collected as observation group, and 50 healthy subjects who received physical examination in our hospital during the same period were collected as normal control group. The ultrasonic SWV levels of two groups of subjects were measured before the operation, and the observation groups were further divided into high SWV group and low SWV group, 50 cases in each group. Intraoperative tumor tissue samples were kept and fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to determine the mRNA expression of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine serum contents of angiogenesis factors in observation group before operation.Results:Hepatic ultrasonic SWV level in observation group was significantly higher than that in normal control group;proto-oncogene CK, Ki67, Gly-3, Survivin and Pokemon mRNA expression in tumor tissue of high SWV group were higher than those of low SWV group while tumor suppressor genes Tg737, p16, p27, PTEN and runx3 mRNA expression were lower than those of low SWV group;serum angiogenesis factors VEGF, MMP-9 and IGF-1R contents were higher than those in low SWV group. The spatial distributions of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs in soils from Longji Rice Terraces were investigated to evaluate soil erosion.The activity concentrations of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs in the surface soils of the...The spatial distributions of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs in soils from Longji Rice Terraces were investigated to evaluate soil erosion.The activity concentrations of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs in the surface soils of the paddy fields were in the range of 0.089–0.734 and1.80–7.88 mBq/g,respectively.The activities of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs showed very similar distribution trends,first increasing and then decreasing with increasing elevation.The 240Pu/239Pu atom ratios in the surface soils ranged from 0.162 to 0.232.The activities of ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs in the soil cores tended to be uniformly distributed within the plowed layer and declined exponentially below this depth.The mean soil erosion rates of Longji Rice Terraces estimated by ^(239+240)Pu and ^(137)Cs tracer methods were 5.44 t/(ha·a)and 5.16 t/(ha·a),respectively,which demonstrated that plutonium can replace ^(137)Cs as an ideal tracer for soil erosion research in the future.Landform features are the main factors affecting the distribution of plutonium and ^(137)Cs as well as soil erosion in the Longji Rice Terraces.展开更多
Proportional odds models are commonly used to model ordinal responses,but the proportional odds assumption may not hold in practice,leading to biased inference.Tests such as score,Wald and likelihood ratio(LR)have bee...Proportional odds models are commonly used to model ordinal responses,but the proportional odds assumption may not hold in practice,leading to biased inference.Tests such as score,Wald and likelihood ratio(LR)have been proposed to evaluate the proportional odds assumption based on models without the assumption.Brant has proposed an independent binary model-based Wald-type test,and Wolfe and Gould have extended the idea to propose an LR-type test.This paper provides a brief review of the Brant and Wolfe-Gould tests for evaluating the proportional odds assumption and evaluates their performance through simulation studies and a real data example.Sample programs are provided in SAS,SPSS and Stata to facilitate the implementation of these tests using standard statistical software packages.This study highlights the importance of evaluating the proportional odds assumption when using proportional odds models for ordinal responses.The sample programs provided in this paper make it easy for researchers to apply these tests in their own analyses using standard statistical software packages.展开更多

First, an industrial photogrammetric system is utilized to obtain the coordinates of points on antenna panels in different postures, and the actual pointing of the mechanical axis is obtained via least-squares fitting. Then, based on this, the coordinates of antenna rotation center are obtained by seeking the intersection of mechanical axes via using the matrix method. Finally, the mechanical axis in arbitrary postures is estimated based on the inverse-angle weighting interpolation method, and the reliable phase center is obtained by moving a fixed length from the projective center along the mechanical axis. An uplink antenna array including three ? 3 m antennas is taken as experimental object, and all photogrammetric coordinate systems are unified by the engineering control network, with each antenna phase center precisely calibrated via the proposed method. The results of electrical signal synthesis indicate that this method can effectively overcome the influence of gravity deformation and mechanical installation error, and enhance the synthetic signal magnitude of the uplink antenna array.展开更多

Control group received metformin therapy and liraglutide group received liraglutide combined with metformin therapy, which lasted for 3 months. The differences in the levels of insulin resistance indexes, cholesterol-related indexes, apolipoprotein and inflammatory mediators were compared between the two groups.Results:After 3 months of treatment, serum insulin resistance-related indexes FBG and FINS levels of liraglutide group were lower than those of control group;serum cholesterol-related indexes TC and LDL-C contents were lower than those of control group whereas HDL-C content was higher than that of control group;serum apolipoprotein Apo AⅠ and Apo AⅡ contents were higher than those of control group whereas Apo CⅡ and Apo CⅢ contents were lower than those of control group;serum inflammatory mediators IL-6, IL-17 and TNF-α contents were lower than those of control group.Conclusion:Metformin combined with liraglutide therapy can further optimize the glycolipid metabolism and inhibit the micro-inflammatory state in T2DM patients with obesity.展开更多
During the last decade,a great variety of ligand protected gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)have been synthesized,and their broad applications have been intensively reported.Although the spectroscopic properties of AuNCs have ...During the last decade,a great variety of ligand protected gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)have been synthesized,and their broad applications have been intensively reported.Although the spectroscopic properties of AuNCs have been comprehensively explored,the mechanism of the significant Stokes shift(>200 nm)and the specific role played by surface ligands have not been clearly explained yet.In this study,a series of fluorescent AuNCs with huge Stokes shift(up to 530 nm)were successfully prepared by employing the rationally designed tri-peptides as the protecting ligands,and their spectroscopic properties were systematically investigated.The detailed measurements on the example product,YCY-AuNCs(Tyr-Cys-Tyr liganded AuNCs),showed that the energy absorbed by the tyrosine(~250 nm)can be effectively transferred through the ligand-mediated two-step Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)process and released as fluorescence emission in the near-infrared fluorescence(NIR)range(~780 nm),which resulted in the significant apparent Stokes shift.The YCY ligands play a critical role by offering the tyrosine groups(donor of the first FRET pair),generating the dityrosine-like structure on the AuNCs surface(acceptor of the first FRET pair and donor of the second FRET pair),and protecting the cores(acceptor of the second acceptor).The additional ligand exchange experiments and the investigation on the other AuNCs further demonstrated that the sufficient high density of the aromatic groups is also essential to mediate the two-step FRET and achieve the remarkable Stokes shift.We believe that the aromatic ligand-mediated FRET mechanism not only offers a new theoretical explanation for the huge Stokes shift exhibited in AuNCs,but also provides a general strategy for the construction of new materials with large Stokes shift.展开更多

The differences in the levels of insulin resistance indexes, cholesterol-related indexes, apolipoprotein and inflammatory mediators were compared between the two groups.Results:After 3 months of treatment, serum insulin resistance-related indexes FBG and FINS levels of liraglutide group were lower than those of control group;serum cholesterol-related indexes TC and LDL-C contents were lower than those of control group whereas HDL-C content was higher than that of control group;serum apolipoprotein Apo AⅠ and Apo AⅡ contents were higher than those of control group whereas Apo CⅡ and Apo CⅢ contents were lower than those of control group;serum inflammatory mediators IL-6, IL-17 and TNF-α contents were lower than those of control group.Conclusion:Metformin combined with liraglutide therapy can further optimize the glycolipid metabolism and inhibit the micro-inflammatory state in T2DM patients with obesity.

文摘During the last decade,a great variety of ligand protected gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)have been synthesized,and their broad applications have been intensively reported.Although the spectroscopic properties of AuNCs have been comprehensively explored,the mechanism of the significant Stokes shift(>200 nm)and the specific role played by surface ligands have not been clearly explained yet.In this study,a series of fluorescent AuNCs with huge Stokes shift(up to 530 nm)were successfully prepared by employing the rationally designed tri-peptides as the protecting ligands,and their spectroscopic properties were systematically investigated.The detailed measurements on the example product,YCY-AuNCs(Tyr-Cys-Tyr liganded AuNCs),showed that the energy absorbed by the tyrosine(~250 nm)can be effectively transferred through the ligand-mediated two-step Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)process and released as fluorescence emission in the near-infrared fluorescence(NIR)range(~780 nm),which resulted in the significant apparent Stokes shift.The YCY ligands play a critical role by offering the tyrosine groups(donor of the first FRET pair),generating the dityrosine-like structure on the AuNCs surface(acceptor of the first FRET pair and donor of the second FRET pair),and protecting the cores(acceptor of the second acceptor).The additional ligand exchange experiments and the investigation on the other AuNCs further demonstrated that the sufficient high density of the aromatic groups is also essential to mediate the two-step FRET and achieve the remarkable Stokes shift.We believe that the aromatic ligand-mediated FRET mechanism not only offers a new theoretical explanation for the huge Stokes shift exhibited in AuNCs,but also provides a general strategy for the construction of new materials with large Stokes shift.
