Background:Lotus seedpod(Receptaculum Nelumbinis)is the abundant by-products produced during lotus seed processing,and the sources are usually considered to be wastes and are abandoned outdoors or incinerated.This stu...Background:Lotus seedpod(Receptaculum Nelumbinis)is the abundant by-products produced during lotus seed processing,and the sources are usually considered to be wastes and are abandoned outdoors or incinerated.This study aims at predicting its bioactive compounds and cancer-related molecular targets against six cancers,including lung cancer,gastric cancer,liver cancer,breast cancer,ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.Methods:Network pharmacology and molecular docking methods were performed.Results:Network pharmacology results indicated that 14 core compounds(liensinine,tetrandrine,lysicamine,tricin,sanleng acid,cireneol G,ricinoleic acid,linolenic acid,5,7-dihydroxycoumarin,apigenin,luteolin,morin,quercetin and isorhamnetin)and 10 core targets(AKT1,ESR1,HSP90AA1,JUN,MAPK1,MAPK3,PIK3CA,PIK3R1,SRC and STAT3)were screened for lotus seedpod against the six cancers.Molecular docking analysis suggested that the binding abilities between the core compounds and the core targets were mostly strong.GO analysis revealed that the intersected targets between the bioactive compounds of lotus seedpod and the six cancers were significantly related to biological processes,cell compositions and molecular functions.KEGG analysis showed that PI3K-Akt,TNF,Ras,MAPK,HIF-1 and C-type lectin receptor signaling pathways were notably involved in the anti-cancer activities of lotus seedpod against the six cancers.Conclusions:14 core compounds and 10 core targets were screened for lotus seedpod against lung cancer,gastric cancer,liver cancer,breast cancer,ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.This study supports the application of lotus seedpod in treating cancers,and promotes the recycling and the high-value utilization.展开更多
The influence of vibration on the spatiotemporal structure of the pattern in dielectric barrier discharge is studied for the first time.The spatiotemporal structure of the pattern investigated by an intensified charge...The influence of vibration on the spatiotemporal structure of the pattern in dielectric barrier discharge is studied for the first time.The spatiotemporal structure of the pattern investigated by an intensified charge-coupled device shows that it is an interleaving of three sublattices, whose discharge sequence is small rods–halos–large spots in each half-cycle of the applied voltage.The result of the photomultiplier indicates that the small rods are composed of moving filaments.The moving mode of the moving filaments is determined to be antisymmetric stretching vibration by analyzing a series of consecutive images taken by a high-speed video camera.The antisymmetric stretching vibration affects the distribution of wall charges and leads to the halos.Furthermore, large spots are discharged only at the centers of the squares consisting of vibrating filaments.The vibration mechanism of the vibrating filaments is dependent on the electric field of wall charges.展开更多

Objective:To observe the difference in clinical efficacy of acupuncture with strong and weak stimulation in treating neck type cervical spondylosis.Methods:64 patients with neck type cervical spondylosis were randomly...Objective:To observe the difference in clinical efficacy of acupuncture with strong and weak stimulation in treating neck type cervical spondylosis.Methods:64 patients with neck type cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into strong stimulation group and weak stimulation group,with 32 cases in each group.The acupoints selected are Jingjiaji 5-7(cervical acupoints EX-B2 C5-C7),Tianzhu(BL10)on both sides,Houxi(SI3)on both sides,Hegu(LI4)on both sides,Geshu(BL17)on both sides,and Ashi.In the strong stimulation group,deep needling with 0.25 mm×40 mm milli-needle was performed,with a mild reinforcing-reducing method.The twisting angle was 90°-180°,the frequency was 60-90 times/min,and the needles were applied for 1 min at each point.Keep the needle for 30 minutes,twisting was performed every 10 min during the retention period.Change hands once.In the weak stimulation group,shallow acupuncture with a 0.18 mm×40 mm milli-needle was performed,with a mild reinforcing-reducing method,with a twisting angle of 60°-90°,a frequency of 30-60 times/min,and acupuncture for 10 seconds at each acupoint.Keep the needle for 30 minutes,and no needle during the retention period.Patients in both groups were treated once every 1 to 2 days,3 times a week for 2 weeks,and followed up for 1 month after all treatments.The two groups of patients were compared before and after treatment and during follow-up.The McGill pain questionnaire score and the cervical spine dysfunction index score were compared to determine the clinical efficacy.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Results:1 case drop-out in the strong stimulation group and 1 case in the weak stimulation group.The total effective rate of the strong stimulation group was 90.32%,the total effective rate of the weak stimulation group was 83.87%,and the total effective rate of the strong stimulation group was higher than that of the weak stimulation group(P<0.05).The total scores of the short-form McGill pain questionnaire,the VAS score,and the cervical spine dysfunction index scores of the two groups of patients were significantly lower than those of this group before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total scores of the short-form McGill pain questionnaire,visual analogue scale score,and cervical spine dysfunction index scores of the strong stimulation group after treatment and follow-up were significantly lower than those of the weak stimulation group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture with strong and weak stimulation can effectively treat patients with cervical spondylosis,and deep acupuncture with filiform needles and strong stimulation have better effect.展开更多
BACKGROUND Bacterial infection is an important cause of cholelithiasis or gallstones and interferes with its treatment.There is no consensus on bile microbial culture profiles in previous studies,and identified microb...BACKGROUND Bacterial infection is an important cause of cholelithiasis or gallstones and interferes with its treatment.There is no consensus on bile microbial culture profiles in previous studies,and identified microbial spectrum and drug resistance is helpful for targeted preventive and therapeutic drugs in the perioperative period.AIM To analyze the bile microbial spectrum of patients with cholelithiasis and the drug susceptibility patterns in order to establish an empirical antibiotic treatment for cholelithiasis-associated infection.METHODS A retrospective single-center study was conducted on patients diagnosed with cholelithiasis between May 2013 and December 2018.RESULTS This study included 185 patients,of whom 163(88.1%)were diagnosed with gallstones and 22(11.9%)were diagnosed with gallstones and common bile duct stones(CBDSs).Bile culture in 38 cases(20.5%)was positive.The presence of CBDSs(OR=5.4,95%CI:1.3-21.9,P=0.03)and longer operation time(>80 min)(OR=4.3,95%CI:1.4-13.1,P=0.01)were identified as independent risk factors for positive bile culture.Gram-negative bacteria were detected in 28 positive bile specimens,and Escherichia coli(E.coli)(19/28)and Klebsiella pneumoniae(5/28)were the most frequently identified species.Gram-positive bacteria were present in 10 specimens.The resistance rate to cephalosporin in E.coli was above 42%and varied across generations.All the isolated E.coli strains were sensitive to carbapenems,with the exception of one imipenem-resistant strain.K.pneumoniae showed a similar resistance spectrum to E.coli.Enterococcus spp.was largely sensitive to glycopeptides and penicillin,except for a few strains of E.faecium.CONCLUSION The presence of common bile duct stones and longer operation time were identified as independent risk factors for positive bile culture in patients with cholelithiasis.The most commonly detected bacterium was E.coli.The combination ofβ-lactam antibiotics andβ-lactamase inhibitors prescribed perioperatively appears to be effective against bile pathogens and is recommended.Additionally,regular monitoring of emerging resistance patterns is required in the future.展开更多
