The use of low-coherence light is expected to be one of the effective ways to suppress or even eliminate the laser–plasma instabilities that arise in attempts to achieve inertial confinement fusion.In this paper,a re...The use of low-coherence light is expected to be one of the effective ways to suppress or even eliminate the laser–plasma instabilities that arise in attempts to achieve inertial confinement fusion.In this paper,a review of low-coherence high-power laser drivers and related key techniques is first presented.Work at typical low-coherence laser facilities,including Gekko XII,PHEBUS,Pharos III,and Kanal-2 is described.The many key techniques that are used in the research and development of low-coherence laser drivers are described and analyzed,including low-coherence source generation,amplification,harmonic conversion,and beam smoothing of low-coherence light.Then,recent progress achieved by our group in research on a broadband low-coherence laser driver is presented.During the development of our low-coherence high-power laser facility,we have proposed and implemented many key techniques for working with low-coherence light,including source generation,efficient amplification and propagation,harmonic conversion,beam smoothing,and precise beam control.Based on a series of technological breakthroughs,a kilojoule low-coherence laser driver named Kunwu with a coherence time of only 300 fs has been built,and the first round of physical experiments has been completed.This high-power laser facility provides not only a demonstration and verification platform for key techniques and system integration of a low-coherence laser driver,but also a new type of experimental platform for research into,for example,high-energy-density physics and,in particular,laser–plasma interactions.展开更多

It is found that since the concept of " sponge city" was firstly proposed in 2012,development research of sponge city involves 40 subject fields and is mainly published in 32 kinds of journals,which is dominated by natural science research( 1427 literatures). Researchers are mainly from each college and university,some design institutes and Chinese Academy of Sciences. The research could play certain guidance significance for further research and construction of ecological city construction in China.展开更多

Western flower thrip( Frankliniella occidentalis) has been confirmed to be the most efficient vector for INSV. In the present study,Illumina's second-generation sequencing technique was used to determine the variation in gene expression at the transcriptome level in western flower thrip before and after infection with INSV. By aligning 168 188 unigenes of western flower thrip to the NCBI protein database,47 558 unigenes were annotated,accounting for 28. 27% of the total. Species classification revealed that 58. 7% of the annotated unigenes of western flower thrip did not match any other species,and 15. 4% of had a match in Zootermopsis navadensis,12. 4% in Mus musculus,7. 3% in Mustela putorius,3. 4% in Theileria parva,and 2. 7% in Tribolium castaneum. By analyzing DEGs between INSV-free and INSV-carrying western flower thrips,we found that 11 genes were upregulated,and 9 genes were downregulated in western flower thrip after INSV infection. This study aimed at identifying the main pathogens causing tuber rot during storage ...Konjac (Amorphophallus muelleri), a genus of tuberous plants in the Araceae family, is one of high-value crops in Southwest China. This study aimed at identifying the main pathogens causing tuber rot during storage ofA. muelleri and screening the effective fungicides, so as to prolong the storage period ofA. muelleri and decrease the losses. Isolation and identification, as well as pathogenicity test and retro-inoculation experiments were made for the pathogen causing tuber rot during storage ofA. muelleri in Kunming city, Yunnan province, China. The effective fungicides for the main pathogens were also screened in the laboratory. Six fungi were identified as the pathogens causing tuber rot of A. muelleri, which were Fusarium solani (Mart,) Sacc., Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht., Botrytis cinerea Pers., Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissl., Rhizopus nigricans Ehrenb., Penicillium ulaiense Hsieh, Su & Tzean. The main pathogens causing postharvest diseases ofA. muelleri were F. solani, F. oxysporum and B. cinerea. The isolation frequencies of them were 33.9%, 10.5% and 19.4%, respectively. After artificial inoculation, the incidence of tubers infected by F. solani, F. oxysporum and B. cinerea was 100%, 83% and 95%, respectively. The results of chemical screening showed that, in potato dextrose agar (PDA) media plate, the compounds Fludioxonil (50% WP) and Boscalid (50% WG) were the most effective in controlling the three main pathogens, and the average effect reached more than 97%. The test of fungicidal antisepsis on tubers consisted ofA. muelleri being dipped in the 9,000x diluted solution of Fludioxonil (50% WP) or in the 3,500x diluted solution of Boscalid (50% WG) for 3 min and stored at room temperature (25 ℃) for 7 d and 15 d, respectively. The fungicidal effects of Fludioxonil against F. solani, F. oxysporum and B. cinerea for 7 d and 15 d were 88.6%/83.2%, 90.1%/84.7% and 93.0%/91.5%, respectively, whereas the fungicidal effects of Boscalid were 87.0%/85.3%, 89.0%/85.6% and 89.2%/89.1%, respectively. The results may provide useful information for the control ofpostharvest diseases ofA. muelleri.展开更多

It could perform startup and shutdown operations repeatedly when the wind fluctuates around the startup speed. The excessive stress induced by frequent startup and shutdown could enhance the likelihood of component failure and hence negatively impact the availability of a wind turbine. Startup speed with dead band is proposed in this article to prevent the wind turbine from frequent startup. 22 years wind data from the Cheung Chau wind station in Hong Kong are analyzed to evaluate the reduction in the number of startup and potential loss of wind power production using the proposed approach. Numerical simulation suggests that the number of startup could be reduced by half with trivial reduction in potential wind power generation in most of investigated sites once an appropriate dead band is adopted.展开更多

The results showed that Ginkgo biloba and Ginnamomum cassia extracts had significant inhibition effects on B. cinema mycelium growth (P 〈 0.05), with inhibition rates over 70% and ECho values of 0.027 mg/ml and 0.039 mg/ml, re- spectively, significantly different from the antifungal effects of other kinds of medicinal plants ; and P. ternata and A. tsaoko extracts showed the second highest in- hibition effects, with ECho values of 0. 011 9 and 0. 039 3 mg/ml, respectively. Sustainable building in China has gained attention both domestically and abroad. Despite the fast increase in sustainable assessment tools developed locally or adopted from overseas, there are still criticisms about t...Sustainable building in China has gained attention both domestically and abroad. Despite the fast increase in sustainable assessment tools developed locally or adopted from overseas, there are still criticisms about the current situation of weak implementation and lack of comprehensive consideration. The lack of consideration of economic and social aspects or building performance on whole building life cycle all lead to departure from the true meaning of sustainable development. And lack of participation on the part of stakeholders makes it too theoretical to be carried out. This research aims to develop a model to address this problem. This research started with review of current sustainable assessment tools applied in China. As the assessment indicators have clear regional disparities, and almost no current tool considers all three pillars of environmental, economic and social in building life cycle. An industry survey was therefore designed for generation of indicators at different building stages, and personal interviews relevant to different occupation in building industry were conducted to complement the questionnaire survey. After that, the model Building Sustainable Score (BSS) was developed based on the stakeholders’ participation. Finally, the model is verified by a case study.展开更多

The investigation for 2 consecutive years in Jietou Region of Tengchong County, a m...Pesticide packaging wastes pose a serious hazard to the agricultural production environment and the quality of agricultural products. The investigation for 2 consecutive years in Jietou Region of Tengchong County, a major tobacco planting area in Yunan, showed that: ① More than 80% of the pesticides purchased by farmers were used for tobacco cultivation, which was 4 times that of conventional crops planting, and most of the packaging materials were plastic bags; ② The main way for farmers to dispose plastic bags was to burn or discard them in the field garbage collection baskets; ③ In combination with field surveys, an average of 4.54 pieces of pesticide packaging wastes were scattered around every 667 m^2 of tobacco field. In addition, the number reduced significantly after carrying out pesticide packaging wastes recycling and control project at the local smoke station. At the same time, the average number of pesticide packaging wastes in the field collection baskets increased. Therefore, it can effectively control pesticide packaging wastes by changing the type of pesticide packaging, encouraging the establishment of recycling system and strengthening the cognitive training of farmers.展开更多
Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)exacerbates irreversible bone loss in periodontitis,but the mechanism of impaired bone regeneration caused by the abnormal metabolic process of T2DM remains unclear.Exosomes are regarded ...Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)exacerbates irreversible bone loss in periodontitis,but the mechanism of impaired bone regeneration caused by the abnormal metabolic process of T2DM remains unclear.Exosomes are regarded as the critical mediator in diabetic impairment of regeneration via organ or tissue communication.Here,we find that abnormally elevated exosomes derived from metabolically impaired liver in T2DM are significantly enriched in the periodontal region and induced pyroptosis of periodontal ligament cells(PDLCs).Mechanistically,fatty acid synthase(Fasn),the main differentially expressed molecule in diabetic exosomes results in ectopic fatty acid synthesis in PDLCs and activates the cleavage of gasdermin D.Depletion of liver Fasn effectively mitigates pyroptosis of PDLCs and alleviates bone loss.Our findings elucidate the mechanism of exacerbated bone loss in diabetic periodontitis and reveal the exosome-mediated organ communication in the“liver-bone”axis,which shed light on the prevention and treatment of diabetic bone disorders in the future.展开更多
Background:Food-borne parasitic diseases decrease food safety and threaten public health.The snail species is an intermediate host for numerous human parasitic trematodes.Orientogalba ollula has been reported as inter...Background:Food-borne parasitic diseases decrease food safety and threaten public health.The snail species is an intermediate host for numerous human parasitic trematodes.Orientogalba ollula has been reported as intermediate hosts of many zoonotic trematodes.Here,we investigated the prevalence of zoonotic trematodes withinO.ollula in Guangxi,China,and assessed their zoonotic potential.Methods:Snails were collected from 54 sites in 9 cities throughout Guangxi.The snail and trematode larvae species were determined by combining morphological characteristics and molecular markers.The trematodes prevalence and constituent ratio were calculated and compared among different habitat environments.Phylogenetic trees of the trematode species were constructed using the neighbor-joining method with nuclear internal transcribed spacer 2(ITS2)sequences.The developmental cycles of the isolated trematodes were examined by experimental infection in ducks.The developmental characteristics ofEchinostoma revolutum was recorded by dissecting infected ducklings from 1-day post infection(dpi)to 10 dpi.Results:The overall prevalence of trematode larvae was 22.1%(1818/8238)inO.ollula from 11 sample sites.Morphological together with molecular identification,showed thatE.revolutum,Australapatemon sp.,Hypoderaeum conoideum,Pharyngostomum cordatum,andEchinostoma sp.parasitizedO.ollula,with the highest infection rate ofE.revolutum(13.0%).However,noFasciola larvae were detected.The trematodes prevalence and constituent ratio varied in two sub-biotypes(P<0.01).A neighbor-joining tree analysis of ITS2 sequences resulted in distinct monophyletic clades supported by sequences from isolated larvae with high bootstrap values.Ducklings exposed toO.ollula infected withEchinostoma sp.,E.revolutum,andH.conoideum larvae were successfully infected.The animal model forEchinostoma revolutum was successfully established.E.revolutum matured from larvae to adult at 10 dpi in the intestine of the duck,and the developmental characteristics ofE.revolutum were characterized by the maturation of the reproductive and digestive organs at 6-8 dpi.Conclusions:This study revealed a high prevalence of zoonotic trematodes inO.ollula from Guangxi,China.Existing trematodes infection in animals and human clinical cases,coupled with the wide geographical distribution ofO.ollula,necessitate further evaluations of the potential risk of spillover of zoonotic infection from animal to human and vice versa.展开更多
To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in the biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and the possible mechanism of VEGF,the in vitro cultured vascular endothelial cells of rabbit aorta were divide...To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in the biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and the possible mechanism of VEGF,the in vitro cultured vascular endothelial cells of rabbit aorta were divided into control group,VEGF-treated group and VEGF+N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME)-treated group.The absorbance(A)value of vascular endothelial cells and the levels of prostaglandin(PGI2),endothelin-1(ET-1)and von Willebrand factor(vWF)in the supernatant were observed by water-soluble tetrazo-lium salt assay,radioimmunoassay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The A values and PGI2 in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05 and P<0.01).The ET-1 and vWF were significantly decreased in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group com-pared with the control(P<0.05 and P<0.01).These results indicate that VEGF could promote the proliferation and secretion of PGI2 and inhibit the secretion of ET-1 and vWF in vascular endothelial cells and that L-NAME could inhibit the effect of VEGF partially.Nitric oxide is an important mediator in the process of stimulating prolifera-tion and regulating secretion of vascular endothelial cells by VEGF.展开更多
To evaluate the mechanism of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)on the prevention of restenosis after angioplasty,the recombinant adenovirus vector containing hVEGF165 cDNA was constructed and transfected into va...To evaluate the mechanism of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)on the prevention of restenosis after angioplasty,the recombinant adenovirus vector containing hVEGF165 cDNA was constructed and transfected into vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC)in vitro.The conditioned medium containing VEGF was collected 72 h after the infection.Then,the VSMC and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)were divided into control group,H2O2-treated group and H2O2+VEGF-treated group to observe the proliferation and apoptosis by water soluble tetrazolium(WST-1)method,in situ nick end labeling(TUNEL)andflow cytometry(FCM).Compared with the control and H2O2+VEGF-treated groups,the absorbance(A)value of HUVEC was decreased,and apoptosis of HUVEC was significantly increased in H2O2-treated group.The changes of A value and apoptosis of VSMC were contrary to those of HUVEC.H2O2 could stimulate the proliferation of VSMC and induce the apoptosis of HUVEC,inhibit the proliferation of HUVEC and the apoptosis of VSMC and induce restenosis.VEGF could inhibit the effect of H2O2 on HUVEC and VSMC and prevent restenosis.These results offered further theoretical evidence for VEGF on the prevention of restenosis after angioplasty.展开更多

And lack of participation on the part of stakeholders makes it too theoretical to be carried out. This research aims to develop a model to address this problem. This research started with review of current sustainable assessment tools applied in China. As the assessment indicators have clear regional disparities, and almost no current tool considers all three pillars of environmental, economic and social in building life cycle. An industry survey was therefore designed for generation of indicators at different building stages, and personal interviews relevant to different occupation in building industry were conducted to complement the questionnaire survey. After that, the model Building Sustainable Score (BSS) was developed based on the stakeholders’ participation. Finally, the model is verified by a case study.

文摘Pesticide packaging wastes pose a serious hazard to the agricultural production environment and the quality of agricultural products. The investigation for 2 consecutive years in Jietou Region of Tengchong County, a major tobacco planting area in Yunan, showed that: ① More than 80% of the pesticides purchased by farmers were used for tobacco cultivation, which was 4 times that of conventional crops planting, and most of the packaging materials were plastic bags; ② The main way for farmers to dispose plastic bags was to burn or discard them in the field garbage collection baskets; ③ In combination with field surveys, an average of 4.54 pieces of pesticide packaging wastes were scattered around every 667 m^2 of tobacco field. In addition, the number reduced significantly after carrying out pesticide packaging wastes recycling and control project at the local smoke station. At the same time, the average number of pesticide packaging wastes in the field collection baskets increased. Therefore, it can effectively control pesticide packaging wastes by changing the type of pesticide packaging, encouraging the establishment of recycling system and strengthening the cognitive training of farmers.

文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)exacerbates irreversible bone loss in periodontitis,but the mechanism of impaired bone regeneration caused by the abnormal metabolic process of T2DM remains unclear.Exosomes are regarded as the critical mediator in diabetic impairment of regeneration via organ or tissue communication.Here,we find that abnormally elevated exosomes derived from metabolically impaired liver in T2DM are significantly enriched in the periodontal region and induced pyroptosis of periodontal ligament cells(PDLCs).Mechanistically,fatty acid synthase(Fasn),the main differentially expressed molecule in diabetic exosomes results in ectopic fatty acid synthesis in PDLCs and activates the cleavage of gasdermin D.Depletion of liver Fasn effectively mitigates pyroptosis of PDLCs and alleviates bone loss.Our findings elucidate the mechanism of exacerbated bone loss in diabetic periodontitis and reveal the exosome-mediated organ communication in the“liver-bone”axis,which shed light on the prevention and treatment of diabetic bone disorders in the future.

文摘Background:Food-borne parasitic diseases decrease food safety and threaten public health.The snail species is an intermediate host for numerous human parasitic trematodes.Orientogalba ollula has been reported as intermediate hosts of many zoonotic trematodes.Here,we investigated the prevalence of zoonotic trematodes withinO.ollula in Guangxi,China,and assessed their zoonotic potential.Methods:Snails were collected from 54 sites in 9 cities throughout Guangxi.The snail and trematode larvae species were determined by combining morphological characteristics and molecular markers.The trematodes prevalence and constituent ratio were calculated and compared among different habitat environments.Phylogenetic trees of the trematode species were constructed using the neighbor-joining method with nuclear internal transcribed spacer 2(ITS2)sequences.The developmental cycles of the isolated trematodes were examined by experimental infection in ducks.The developmental characteristics ofEchinostoma revolutum was recorded by dissecting infected ducklings from 1-day post infection(dpi)to 10 dpi.Results:The overall prevalence of trematode larvae was 22.1%(1818/8238)inO.ollula from 11 sample sites.Morphological together with molecular identification,showed thatE.revolutum,Australapatemon sp.,Hypoderaeum conoideum,Pharyngostomum cordatum,andEchinostoma sp.parasitizedO.ollula,with the highest infection rate ofE.revolutum(13.0%).However,noFasciola larvae were detected.The trematodes prevalence and constituent ratio varied in two sub-biotypes(P<0.01).A neighbor-joining tree analysis of ITS2 sequences resulted in distinct monophyletic clades supported by sequences from isolated larvae with high bootstrap values.Ducklings exposed toO.ollula infected withEchinostoma sp.,E.revolutum,andH.conoideum larvae were successfully infected.The animal model forEchinostoma revolutum was successfully established.E.revolutum matured from larvae to adult at 10 dpi in the intestine of the duck,and the developmental characteristics ofE.revolutum were characterized by the maturation of the reproductive and digestive organs at 6-8 dpi.Conclusions:This study revealed a high prevalence of zoonotic trematodes inO.ollula from Guangxi,China.Existing trematodes infection in animals and human clinical cases,coupled with the wide geographical distribution ofO.ollula,necessitate further evaluations of the potential risk of spillover of zoonotic infection from animal to human and vice versa.

文摘To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in the biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and the possible mechanism of VEGF,the in vitro cultured vascular endothelial cells of rabbit aorta were divided into control group,VEGF-treated group and VEGF+N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME)-treated group.The absorbance(A)value of vascular endothelial cells and the levels of prostaglandin(PGI2),endothelin-1(ET-1)and von Willebrand factor(vWF)in the supernatant were observed by water-soluble tetrazo-lium salt assay,radioimmunoassay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The A values and PGI2 in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05 and P<0.01).The ET-1 and vWF were significantly decreased in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group com-pared with the control(P<0.05 and P<0.01).These results indicate that VEGF could promote the proliferation and secretion of PGI2 and inhibit the secretion of ET-1 and vWF in vascular endothelial cells and that L-NAME could inhibit the effect of VEGF partially.Nitric oxide is an important mediator in the process of stimulating prolifera-tion and regulating secretion of vascular endothelial cells by VEGF.

文摘To evaluate the mechanism of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)on the prevention of restenosis after angioplasty,the recombinant adenovirus vector containing hVEGF165 cDNA was constructed and transfected into vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC)in vitro.The conditioned medium containing VEGF was collected 72 h after the infection.Then,the VSMC and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)were divided into control group,H2O2-treated group and H2O2+VEGF-treated group to observe the proliferation and apoptosis by water soluble tetrazolium(WST-1)method,in situ nick end labeling(TUNEL)andflow cytometry(FCM).Compared with the control and H2O2+VEGF-treated groups,the absorbance(A)value of HUVEC was decreased,and apoptosis of HUVEC was significantly increased in H2O2-treated group.The changes of A value and apoptosis of VSMC were contrary to those of HUVEC.H2O2 could stimulate the proliferation of VSMC and induce the apoptosis of HUVEC,inhibit the proliferation of HUVEC and the apoptosis of VSMC and induce restenosis.VEGF could inhibit the effect of H2O2 on HUVEC and VSMC and prevent restenosis.These results offered further theoretical evidence for VEGF on the prevention of restenosis after angioplasty.
