The Kerr nonlinearity in two-dimensional(2D)nanomaterials is emerging as an appealing and intriguing research area due to their prominent light processing,modulation,and manipulation abilities.In this contribution,2D black arsenic-phosphorus(B-AsP)nanosheets(NSs)were applied in nonlinear photonic devices based on spatial self-phase modula-tion(SSPM)method.By applying the Kerr nonlinearity in 2D B-AsP,an all-optical phase-modulated system is proposed to realize the functions of“on”and“off”in all-optical switching.By using the same all-optical phase-modulated system,another optical logic gate is proposed,and the logical“or”function is obtained based on the 2D B-AsP NSs dispersions.Moreover,by using the SSPM method,a 2D B-AsP/SnS_(2) hybrid structure is fabricated,and the result illustrates that the hybrid structure possesses the ability of the unidirectional nonlinear excitation,which helps in obtaining the function of spatial asymmetric light propagation.This function is considered an important prerequisite for the realization of diode functionalization,which is believed to be a factor in important basis for the design of isolators as well.The initial investig-ations indicate that 2D B-AsP is applicable for designing optical logical devices,which can be considered as an import-ant development in all-optical information processing. 展开更多

The intelligent vehicle network uses advanced information technology to establish an efficient integrated vehicle transport system, which has received great attention in industry and academia, lnternet of Vehicles (loV) in an urban environment is operated in a wireless environment with high bit error rate and interference. In addition, the wireless link between vehicles is likely to be lost. All of this makes it an important challenge to provide reliable mobile routing in an urban traffic environment. In this paper, a reliable routing algorithm with network coding (RR_ NC) is proposed to solve the above problems. A routing node sequence is discovered in IoV from source to destination by multi-metric ant colony optimization algorithm (MACO), and then clusters are formed around every node in the sequence. By adding linear encoding into the transmission of data between vehicle's clusters, the RR_NC provides much more reliable transmission and can recover the original message in the event of disorder and loss of message. Simulations are taken under different scenarios, and the results prove that this novel algorithm can deliver the information more reliably between vehicles in real-time with lower data loss and communication overhead. 展开更多

Two processes are contained in our QED theoretical model, one is photon emission in the interaction of ultra-intense laser with relativistic electron(or positron), and the other is pair production by a gamma-ray photon interacting with the laser field.This model has been included in a PIC/MCC simulation code named BUMBLEBEE 1 D, which is used to simulate the laser plasma interaction. Using this code, the evolutions of electron–positron pair and gamma-ray photon production in ultra-intense laser interaction with aluminum foil target are simulated and analyzed. The simulation results revealed that more positrons are moved in the opposite direction to the incident direction of the laser under the charge separation field. 展开更多

In this article,to reduce the complexity and improve the generalization ability of current gesture recognition systems,we propose a novel SE-CNN attention architecture for sEMG-based hand gesture recognition.The proposed algorithm introduces a temporal squeeze-and-excite block into a simple CNN architecture and then utilizes it to recalibrate the weights of the feature outputs from the convolutional layer.By enhancing important features while suppressing useless ones,the model realizes gesture recognition efficiently.The last procedure of the proposed algorithm is utilizing a simple attention mechanism to enhance the learned representations of sEMG signals to performmulti-channel sEMG-based gesture recognition tasks.To evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed algorithm,we conduct experiments involving multi-gesture datasets Ninapro DB4 and Ninapro DB5 for both inter-session validation and subject-wise cross-validation.After a series of comparisons with the previous models,the proposed algorithm effectively increases the robustness with improved gesture recognition performance and generalization ability. 展开更多

Synergistic oxidation-reforming of biomass for high quality syngas production based on a bifunctional catalyst

Conventional O_(2)gasification for low-rank biomass/sludge conversion is prone to high CO_(2)concentrations in the syngas because of its high O content and low calorific value.This study establishes a synergistic oxidationreforming reaction route for the conversion of low-rank carbon-containing resources into high-quality syngas.The efficient oxidation-reforming reaction is based on the bifunctional catalyst NiO-Fe_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3),which includes Fe_(2)O_(3) oxidation sites and NiO reforming sites.Hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction,together with X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy experiments,demonstrated that the two functional active sites have strong interactions with the support,leading to efficient cooperation between the oxidation reaction and reforming reaction with regards to both the reaction sequence and C/H/O element balance.Syngas produced from biomass/sludge based on oxidation-reforming reactions has an extremely low CO_(2)concentration of approximately 3%,and the valid gas(CO,H_(2))concentration exceeds 95%.The valid gas yield of walnut shell reached 1452.9 mL/g,the total gas yield was 1507.2 mL/g,and the H_(2)/CO ratio was 1.02,which are all very close to the theoretical maximum values of 1553.1 mL/g and 1.01,respectively,demonstrating that the inherent CO_(2)/H_(2)O along with CH4/tar species were efficiently converted to H_(2)and CO through oxidation-reforming reactions.During a 60-cycle test,NiO-Fe_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3) exhibited good redox stability. 展开更多

Arrhythmias are very common in the healthy populations as well as patients with cardiovascular diseases.Among them,atrial fibrillation(AF)and malignant ventricular arrhythmias are usually associated with some clinical events.Early diagnosis of arrhythmias,particularly AF and ventricular arrhythmias,is very important for the treatment and prognosis of patients.Holter is a gold standard commonly recommended for noninvasive detection of paroxysmal arrhythmia.However,it has some shortcomings such as fixed detection timings,delayed report and inability of remote real-time detection.To deal with such problems,we designed and applied a new wearable 72-hour triple-lead H3-electrocardiogram(ECG)device with a remote cloud-based ECG platform and an expertsupporting system.In this study,31 patients were recruited and 24-hour synchronous ECG data by H3-ECG and Holter were recorded.In the H3-ECG group,ECG signals were transmitted using remote real-time modes,and confirmed reports were made by doctors in the remote expert-supporting system,while the traditional modes and detection systems were used in the Holter group.The results showed no significant differences between the two groups in 24-hour total heart rate(HR),averaged HR,maximum HR,minimum HR,premature atrial complexes(PACs)and premature ventricular complexes(PVCs)(P>0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of capture and remote automatic cardiac events detection of PACs,PVCs,and AF by H3-ECG were 93%and 99%,98%and 99%,94%and 98%,respectively.Therefore,the long-term limb triple-lead H3-ECG device can be utilized for domiciliary ECG self-monitoring and remote management of patients with common arrhythmia under medical supervision. 展开更多

The recycling and remanufacturing of end-of-life products are significant for environmental protection and resource conservation.Disassembly is an essential process of remanufacturing end-of-life products.Effective disassembly plans help improve disassembly efficiency and reduce disassembly costs.This paper studies a disassembly planning problem with operation attributes,in which an integrated decision of the disassembly sequence,disassembly directions,and disassembly tools are made.Besides,a mathematical model is formulated with the objective of minimizing the penalty cost caused by the changing of operation attributes.Then,a neighborhood modularization-based artificial bee colony algorithm is developed,which contains a modular optimized design.Finally,two case studies with different scales and complexities are used to verify the performance of the proposed approach,and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the two existing methods within an acceptable computational time. 展开更多

A series of hybrid catalysts were made by physically mixing Cu-ZrO2 and γ-A12O3, for former it was modified with different loadings of La2O3 prepared by co-precipitation method. The catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, N2O-adsorption, EXAFS, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD techniques and evaluated in the synthesis of dimethyl ether from syngas. The results show that La2O3 promoted catalysts displayed a significantly better catalytic performance compared with Cu-ZrO2#y-A12O3 catalyst in CO conversion and DME selectivity, and the optimum catalytic activity was obtained when the content of La2O3 was 12 wt%. The characterizations reveal that high copper dispersion, facile reducibility of copper particles and appropriate amount of acidic sites are responsible for the superior catalytic performance. 展开更多

This work is inspired by a stealth pursuit behavior called motion camouflage whereby a pursuer approaches an evader while the pursuer camouflages itself against a predetermined background.We formulate the spacecraft pursuit-evasion problem as a stealth pursuit strategy of motion camouflage,in which the pursuer tries to minimize a motion camouflage index defined in this paper.The Euler-Hill reference frame whose origin is set on the circular reference orbit is used to describe the dynamics.Based on the rule of motion camouflage,a guidance strategy in open-loop form to achieve motion camouflage index is derived in which the pursuer lies on the camouflage constraint line connecting the central spacecraft and evader.In order to dispose of the dependence on the evader acceleration in the open-loop guidance strategy,we further consider the motion camouflage pursuit problem within an infinite-horizon nonlinear quadratic differential game.The saddle point solution to the game is derived by using the state-dependent Riccati equation method,and the resulting closed-loop guidance strategy is effective in achieving motion camouflage.Simulations are performed to demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed guidance strategies for the pursuit–evasion game scenario. 展开更多

Two-dimensional(2D)materials,such as transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),black phosphorus(BP),MXene and borophene,have aroused extensive attention since the discovery of graphene in 2004.They have wide range of applications in many research fields,such as optoelectronic devices,energy storage,catalysis,owing to their striking physical and chemical properties.Among them,anisotropic 2D material is one kind of 2D materials that possess different properties along different directions caused by the intrinsic anisotropic atoms5 arrangement of the 2D materials,mainly including BP,borophene,low-symmetry TMDs(ReSe2 and ReSa)and group IV monochalcogenides(SnS,SnSe,GeS,and GeSe).Recently,a series of new devices has been fabricated based on these anisotropic 2D materials.In this review,we start from a brief introduction of the classifications,crystal structures,preparation techniques,stability,as well as the strategy to discriminate the anisotropic characteristics of 2D materials.Then,the recent advanced applications including electronic devices,optoelectronic devices,thermoelectric devices and nanomechanical devices based on the anisotropic 2D materials both in experiment and theory have been summarized.Finally,the current challenges and prospects in device designs,integration,mechanical analysis,and micro-/nano-fabrication techniques related to anisotropic 2D materials have been discussed.This review is aimed to give a generalized knowledge of anisotropic 2D materials and their current devices applications,and thus inspiring the exploration and development of other kinds of new anisotropic 2D materials and various novel device applications. 展开更多

Black phosphorus(BP), a typical mono-elemental and two-dimensional(2D) material, has gathered significant attention owing to its distinct optoelectronic properties and promising applications, despite its main obstacle... Black phosphorus(BP), a typical mono-elemental and two-dimensional(2D) material, has gathered significant attention owing to its distinct optoelectronic properties and promising applications, despite its main obstacle of long-term stability. Consequently, BP-analog materials with long-term chemical stability show additional potential. In this contribution, tin sulfide(SnS), a novel two-elemental and 2D structural BP-analog monochalcogenide, has been demonstrated to show enhanced stability under ambient conditions. The broadband nonlinear optical properties and carrier dynamics have been systematically investigated via Z-scan and transient absorption approaches. The excellent nonlinear absorption coefficient of 50.5 × 10^-3 cm∕GW, 1 order of magnitude larger than that of BP, endows the promising application of SnS in ultrafast laser generation. Two different decay times of τ1~873 fs and τ2~96.9 ps allow the alteration between pure Q switching and continuous-wave(CW) mode locking in an identical laser resonator. Both mode-locked and Q-switched operations have been experimentally demonstrated using an SnS saturable absorber at the telecommunication window. Femtosecond laser pulses with tunable wavelength and high stability are easily obtained, suggesting the promising potential of SnS as an efficient optical modulator for ultrafast photonics. This primary investigation may be considered an important step towards stable and high-performance BP-analog material-based photonic devices. 展开更多

We experimentally investigated the nonlinear optical response in few-layer oxidized black phosphorus(OBP) by the femtosecond Z-scan measurement technique, and found that OBP not only possesses strong ultrafast saturable absorption but also a nonlinear self-defocusing effect that is absent in black phosphorus(BP). The saturable absorption property originates mainly from the direct band structure, which is still maintained in OBP. The emergence of self-defocusing might originate from the combined consequences of the oxygen-induced defects in BP. Our experimental findings might constitute the first experimental evidence on how to dynamically tune its nonlinear property, offering an inroad in tailoring its optical properties through chemical modification(oxidation, introducing defects, etc.). The versatile ultrafast nonlinear optical properties(saturable absorption and self-defocusing) imply a significant potential of the layered OBP in the development of unprecedented optoelectronic devices, such as mode lockers, optical switches, laser beam shapers, and wavelength converters. 展开更多

Owing to its thickness-modulated direct energy band gap, relatively strong light–matter interaction, and unique nonlinear optical response at a long wavelength, few-layer black phosphorus, or phosphorene, becomes very attractive in ultrafast photonics applications. Herein, we synthesized a graphene/phosphorene nano-heterojunction using a liquid phase-stripping method. Tiny lattice distortions in graphene and phosphorene suggest the formation of a nano-heterojunction between graphene and phosphorene nanosheets. In addition, we systematically investigate their nonlinear optical responses at different wavelength regimes. Our experiments indicate that the combined advantages of ultrafast relaxation, broadband response in graphene, and the strong light–matter interaction in phosphorene can be combined together by nano-heterojunction. We have further fabricated two-dimensional(2D) nano-heterojunction based optical saturable absorbers and integrated them into an erbium-doped fiber laser to demonstrate the generation of a stable ultrashort pulse down to 148 fs. Our results indicate that a graphene/phosphorene nano-heterojunction can operate as a promising saturable absorber for ultrafast laser systems with ultrahigh pulse energy and ultranarrow pulse duration. We believe this work opens up a new approach to designing 2D heterointerfaces for applications in ultrafast photonics and other research.The fabrication of a 2D nano-heterojunction assembled from stacking different 2D materials, via this facile and scalable growth approach, paves the way for the formation and tuning of new 2D materials with desirable photonic properties and applications. 展开更多

There are widespread Mesozoic–Cenozoic terrestrial volcanic activities in East China,and they produced favorable geologic factors for the volcanic reservoirs.To reveal the spatio-temporal evolution of regional volcanisms and their tectonic setting,we subdivide Mesozoic–Cenozoic volcanic activities into 6 volcanic cycles(Ⅰ–Ⅵ),and summarize the temporal-spatial distribution,rock association and tectonic setting of each cycle.The Cycle I forms a post-orogenic intraplate bimodal volcanic association.The cyclesⅡandⅢinclude arc volcanic associations formed in compressional and extensional subduction environments,respectively.The CycleⅣcontains a post-orogenic arc bimodal association.The CycleⅤis a basaltic association of tholeiite series under initial rift setting,and the CycleⅥis basaltic association of alkaline series under typical rift setting.The volcanic strata between each cycle are bounded by regional unconformity.The above 6 volcanic cycles correspond to 6 sequential stages of tectonic evolutions from the Early Jurassic post-orogeny,the Mid-Jurassic–Cretaceous subduction of the paleo-Pacific Plate to the Cenozoic marginal rifting.According to the geological characteristics of volcanic reservoirs in different volcanic cycles,it is put forward that the CycleⅤis the major formation period of volcanic reservoirs in East China and should be the focus of exploration,and that the volcanic reservoirs of the CycleⅣare also worthy of attention. 展开更多

Conjugation,as an essential chemical term used to describe electron delocalization,can be roughly grouped into two categories,through-bond conjugation(TBC)and through-space conjugation(TSC).A hybrid conjugation system integrating both TBC and TSC is rarely studied and utilized,for lack of a well-established model and difficulty of structure modification and property tuning,despite its theoretical significance and potential applications.Herein,various foldamers with a tetraphenylethene(TPE)core are employed as hybrid conjugation models to investigate structure–property correlation by introducing heterocycles of furan/thiophene into theπ-stacking TSC component.For comparison,two kinds of TPE-cored foldamers with different stacking models,a benzene–heterocycle stacking model and a benzene–benzene stacking model,are designed.Combining experimental measurements and theoretical calculations,the impact of benzene–heterocycle interaction on the hybrid conjugation natures and photophysical properties has been studied systematically.The results reveal that the benzene–heterocycle stacking model can fabricate a hybrid conjugation nature with an improved TSC component to make a more dominant contribution to the electronic transition natures than the benzene–benzene stacking model,leading to the distinguishing photophysical behavior.This work provides valuable guidance for the design of new functional materials with hybrid conjugation systems. 展开更多
