Pied Avocets(Recurvirostra avosetta)are common migratory shorebirds in the East Asian–Australasian Flyway.From 2019 to 2021,GPS/GSM transmitters were used to track 40 Pied Avocets nesting in northern Bohai Bay to ide...Pied Avocets(Recurvirostra avosetta)are common migratory shorebirds in the East Asian–Australasian Flyway.From 2019 to 2021,GPS/GSM transmitters were used to track 40 Pied Avocets nesting in northern Bohai Bay to identify annual routines and key stopover sites.On average,southward migration of Pied Avocets started on 23 October and arrived at wintering sites(mainly in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and coastal wetlands)in southern China on 22 November;northward migration started on 22 March with arrival at breeding sites on 7 April.Most avocets used the same breeding sites and wintering sites between years,with an average migration distance of 1124 km.There was no significant difference between sexes on the migration timing or distance in both northward and southward migration,except for the departure time from the wintering sites and winter distribution.The coastal wetland of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province is a critical stopover site.Most individuals rely on Lianyungang during both northward and southward migration,indicating that species with short migration distances also heavily rely on a few stopover sites.However,Lianyungang lacks adequate protection and is facing many threats,including tidal flat loss.We strongly recommend that the coastal wetland of Lianyungang be designated as a protected area to effectively conserve the critical stopover site.展开更多
This paper provides comprehensive review on heave motion of rigid floating structure due to wave impacts.To specify and explain the structure response,this review firstly provides a brief introduction on ocean sea wav...This paper provides comprehensive review on heave motion of rigid floating structure due to wave impacts.To specify and explain the structure response,this review firstly provides a brief introduction on ocean sea wave theory,floating structure motion interpretation.Then the floating body motion in regular waves was demonstrated using a superposition method of the oscillated motion in still water and the restrained motion in waves.Meanwhile,added mass and damping coefficient,these two frequency-dependent terms are brought into discussion to generate the motion response with given wave amplitude,which is known for response amplitude operator(RAO).Based on the study in regular waves,RAO of floating structure in irregular waves is introduced while no longer in time domain but in frequency domain.The whole review covers the literatures from the early 1980s up to nowadays,based on the review,it is recommended that more experimental work regarding to frequency characteristic and relative response of larger floating body should be carried out to improve the accuracy of this method.展开更多
The development of strain sensors with both superior sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)>100)and broad strain-sensing range(>50%strain)is still a grand challenge.Materials,which demonstrate significant structural defor...The development of strain sensors with both superior sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)>100)and broad strain-sensing range(>50%strain)is still a grand challenge.Materials,which demonstrate significant structural deformation under microscale motion,are required to offer high sensitivity.Structural connection of materials upon large-scale motion is demanded to widen strainsensing range.However,it is hard to achieve both features simultaneously.Herein,we design a crepe roll structure-inspired textile yarn-based strain sensor with one-dimensional(1D)-two-dimensional(2D)nanohybrid strain-sensing sheath,which possesses superior stretchability.This ultrastretchable strain sensor exhibits a wide and stable strain-sensing range from microscale to large-scale(0.01%–125%),and superior sensitivity(GF of 139.6 and 198.8 at 0.01%and 125%,respectively)simultaneously.The strain sensor is structurally constructed by a superelastic 1D-structured core elastomer polyurethane yarn(PUY),a novel high conductive crepe roll-structured(CRS)1D-2D nanohybrid multilayer sheath which assembled by 1D nanomaterials silver nanowires(AgNWs)working as bridges to connect adjacent layers and 2D nanomaterials graphene nanoplates(GNPs)offering brittle lamellar structure,and a thin polydopamine(PDA)wrapping layer providing protection in exterior environment.During the stretching/deformation process,microcracks originate and propagate in the GNPs lamellar structure enable resistance to change significantly,while AgNWs bridge adjacent GNPs to accommodate applied stress partially and boost strain.The 1D crepe roll structure-inspired strain sensor demonstrates multifunctionality in multiscale deformative motion detection,such as respiratory motions of Sprague–Dawleyw rat,flexible digital display,and proprioception of multi-joint finger bending and antagonistic flexion/extension motions of its flexible continuum body.展开更多
