BACKGROUND Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)is an important precursor of cervical cancer.Early detection and treatment can reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.AIM To investigate the detection rate of human p...BACKGROUND Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)is an important precursor of cervical cancer.Early detection and treatment can reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.AIM To investigate the detection rate of human papillomavirus(HPV)E6/E7 mRNA in cervical tissue of patients with different types of epithelial cell neoplasia(CIN)and its relationship with CIN progression and diagnosis.METHODS One hundred women with HPV infection detected by cervical exfoliation cytology between January 2022 and January 2023 were retrospectively selected.These patients were graded CIN based on colposcopy and cervical pathology.The positive expression rates of HPV E6/E7 mRNA and HPV[polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-reverse dot crossing]were compared among all groups.Patients with HPV E6/E7 mRNA expression in the grade 1 CIN group were followed up for 1 yr.The relationship between atypical squamous epithelium and high malignant epithelial neoplasia was investigated by univariate and multivariate analysis.RESULTS The diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,and sensitivity of PCR-reverse point hybrid ization technology for secondary CIN were 70.41%,70.66%,and 0.714,respectively.Sensitivity and specificity for secondary CIN were 752%and 7853%,respectively,the area under the curve value was 0.789.Logistic Multifactorial model analysis revealed that the HPV positive rates and the HPV E6/E7 mRNA positive rates were independent risk factors of CIN grade I(P<0.05).In CIN grade I patients with positive for HPV E6/E7 mRNA,in its orientation to grade CIN patients,in its orientation to grade CIN patients,at 69.2%,compared with patients negative for HPV E6/E7 mRNA(30.8%),significant difference(P<0.05).CONCLUSION HPV E6/E7 mRNA and HPV(PCR-reverse dot hybrid)positive expression have a close relationship with CINgrade disease progression and is an independent risk factor for high-grade CIN lesions.展开更多
This study aims to analyze the clinical significance and mechanism of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)in primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).Methods:The expression of NRF2...This study aims to analyze the clinical significance and mechanism of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)in primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).Methods:The expression of NRF2 and GPX4 in peripheral blood of patients with PHC was determined to analyze the diagnostic value of the two combined for PHC.The prognostic significance of NRF2 and GPX4 was evaluated by 3-year followup.Human liver epithelial cells THLE-2 and human hepatocellular carcinoma cells HepG2 were purchased,and the expression of NRF2 and GPX4 in the cells was determined.NRF2 and GPX4 aberrant expression vectors were constructed and transfected into HepG2,and changes in cell proliferation and invasion capabilities were observed.Results:The expression of NRF2 and GPX4 in patients with PHC was higher than that in patients with LC or VH(p<0.05),and the two indicators combined was excellent in diagnosing PHC.Moreover,patients with high expression of NRF2 and GPX4 had a higher risk of death(p<0.05).In in vitro experiments,both NRF2 and GPX4 expression was elevated in HepG2(p<0.05).HepG2 activity was enhanced by increasing the expression of the two,vice versa(p<0.05).Conclusion:NRF2 and GPX4 combined is excellent in diagnosing PHC,and promotes the malignant development of PHC.展开更多

The seeds had a high kern...Oil content from seed kernels of Xanthoceras sorbifolia from 13 areas in China was analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry to determine oil characteristics and biodiesel properties. The seeds had a high kernel percentage (53.67%± 7.51), oil content (52.21%± 4.01), and biodiesel yield (99.77%± 0.21). Among the fatty acids in the oil were high percentages of linoleic acid (41.66 ± 2.26)% and oleic acid (28.44%± 2.03). Most of the fuel properties complied well with the ASTM D6751-10, EN 14214-08, and GB/T 20828-2014 standards. The 13 sampling areas were grouped into four clusters based on different kernel percentage, oil content, biodiesel yield, and fatty acid composition. The results showed that the quality of kernel oils from seeds from Ar Horqin Banner was the best, although kernel oils from seeds in all 13 areas were suitable for biodiesel production. This study provides a basis for selecting optimal sites to harvest seeds from X. sorbifolia.展开更多

Exponential fertilization can induce nutrient reserves within juvenile trees, but its validity on poplar is contingent on interaction with a scientific irrigation regime due to limited water resources under global warming. In the present study, we raised 3200 Populus 9 euramericana cv. '74/76' cuttings under four irrigation regimes of 0(I0), 60 %(I60), 80 %(I80), and100 %(I100) of field capacity for soil moisture content with or without(control) the employment of nitrogen(N) addition delivered as exponential fertilization at the rate of 8 g N cutting^(-1)(E8) in an open-air nursery in Beijing, China. Both height and diameter increased with the increment of soil moisture ratio or in response to exponential fertilization(EF) without any interactive effects. In general, concentrations of N, phosphorus(P),and potassium(K) declined with time in stem but foliar N concentration did not change. Under the I100 regime, EF increased foliar N concentration relative to the control but failed to affect N concentration in stem in September, when both N concentration and N content were increased by EF under the I80 regime. Stem-K content and concentration by EF under the I80 regime also increased in September,therefore EF-treated cuttings had a higher ratio of K content in stem to that in whole plant(%ANAR). Vector diagnosis for nutritional status indicated that EF resulted in dilution of K concentration but induced a steady-state P uptake in leaves under all irrigation regimes. Therefore, EF of N addition could promote N uptake to leaves of P. 9 euramericana cv. '74/76' cuttings, but it had a null effect on N and P reserves in stem and impaired K reserves.In conclusion, the irrigation regime of 80 % field capacity of soil moisture content was suggested for the culture of juvenile P. 9 euramericana cv. '74/76' cuttings. As the interactive meaning, EF was also suggested for its excellent promotion on both N and K uptakes.展开更多
Accurate segmentation of CT images of liver tumors is an important adjunct for the liver diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.In recent years,due to the great improvement of hard device,many deep learning based m...Accurate segmentation of CT images of liver tumors is an important adjunct for the liver diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.In recent years,due to the great improvement of hard device,many deep learning based methods have been proposed for automatic liver segmentation.Among them,there are the plain neural network headed by FCN and the residual neural network headed by Resnet,both of which have many variations.They have achieved certain achievements in medical image segmentation.In this paper,we firstly select five representative structures,i.e.,FCN,U-Net,Segnet,Resnet and Densenet,to investigate their performance on liver segmentation.Since original Resnet and Densenet could not perform image segmentation directly,we make some adjustments for them to perform live segmentation.Our experimental results show that Densenet performs the best on liver segmentation,followed by Resnet.Both perform much better than Segnet,U-Net,and FCN.Among Segnet,U-Net,and FCN,U-Net performs the best,followed by Segnet.FCN performs the worst.展开更多

The results show that the band gap of YbB6 increases with x increasing, and does not change with U. It not only illustrates the influence of internal structural parameter x on band gap, but also explains the discrepancy between the previous experimental result and the theoretical prediction. In addition, the electronic structure and density of states reveal that there exist the interactions between B atoms in different cages, and that a small band gap can form around the Fermi level(EF). The present work plays a leading role in ascertaining the relation between crystal structure and electronic property for the further analysis of its topological properties.展开更多

During 2007-2009 and 2012-2013, we measured serum calcidiol (25-hydroxyvitamin D3, 25-(OH)D) in Lhasa, Shigatse, Tingri, Nagqu and other places of Tibet in order to get the status of the overall level of vitamin D in Tibet. We also studied influence of area, occupation, age, gender, season and other factors on the serum 25(OH)D level. Results of our study indicate that: 1) in Tibet, the overall serum concentration of calcidiol is in deficiency range (25(OH)D level is 12.25 ng/ml);2) the serum level of 25(OH)D in different regions is generally the same;3) the serum level of 25(OH)D in young and middle-aged people is 20% higher than that in elder;4) the level of 25(OH)D in male is slightly higher than in female;5) the level of 25(OH)D in summer is significantly higher than that in winter;6) there are obvious differences in serum level of 25(OH)D among tested subjects with different occupations.展开更多
Nervous system cancers are the 10th leading cause of death worldwide,many of which are difficult to diagnose and exhibit varying degrees of treatment resistance.The limitations of existing cancer models,such as patien...Nervous system cancers are the 10th leading cause of death worldwide,many of which are difficult to diagnose and exhibit varying degrees of treatment resistance.The limitations of existing cancer models,such as patient-derived xenograft(PDX)models and genetically engineered mouse(GEM)models,call for the development of novel preclinical cancer models to more faithfully mimic the patient’s cancer and offer additional insights.Recent advances in human stem cell biology,organoid,and genome-editing techniques allow us to model nervous system tumors in three types of next-generation tumor models:cell-of-origin models,tumor organoids,and 3D multicellular coculture models.In this review,we introduced and compared different human stem cell/organoid-derived models,and comprehensively summarized and discussed the recently developed models for various primary tumors in the central and peripheral nervous systems,including glioblastoma(GBM),H3K27M-mutant Diffuse Midline Glioma(DMG)and H3G34R-mutant High-grade Glioma(HGG),Low-grade Glioma(LGG),Neurofibromatosis Type 1(NF1),Neurofibromatosis Type 2(NF2),Medulloblastoma(MB),Atypical Teratoid/rhabdoid Tumor(AT/RT),and meningioma.We further compared these models with PDX and GEM models,and discussed the opportunities and challenges of precision nervous cancer modeling with human stem cells and organoids.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of a minimally-invasive treatment of communicating hydrocephalus using a percutaneous lumboperitoneal (LP) shunt.Method:The clinical and long-term follow-up data of 256 pati...Objective:To investigate the clinical value of a minimally-invasive treatment of communicating hydrocephalus using a percutaneous lumboperitoneal (LP) shunt.Method:The clinical and long-term follow-up data of 256 patients suffering from communicating hydrocephalus and undergoing percutaneous LP shunt during 1998 to 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:After the follow-up,which lasted 6 months to 10 years,219 cases of communicating hydrocephalus recovered well (ventricular size returned to normal and symptoms completely disappeared),25 cases were brought under control (ventricle size reduced by 50% and symptoms partially abated),and 12 cases showed no obvious changes.Fifteen obese subjects needed modifications of the shunt due to the obstruction of the abdominal end following wrapping,and one subject underwent extubation as the subject was unable to tolerate stimulation of the cauda equina.The effectiveness of shunting was 91.40% and the probability of shunt-tube obstruction,which occurs predominantly in the abdominal end,was only 5.85%,far lower than that of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt.Three subjects had a history of infection following VP shunting.Conclusion:LP shunting is minimally invasive and effective in treating communicating hydrocephalus,with fewer complications.展开更多

文摘Nervous system cancers are the 10th leading cause of death worldwide,many of which are difficult to diagnose and exhibit varying degrees of treatment resistance.The limitations of existing cancer models,such as patient-derived xenograft(PDX)models and genetically engineered mouse(GEM)models,call for the development of novel preclinical cancer models to more faithfully mimic the patient’s cancer and offer additional insights.Recent advances in human stem cell biology,organoid,and genome-editing techniques allow us to model nervous system tumors in three types of next-generation tumor models:cell-of-origin models,tumor organoids,and 3D multicellular coculture models.In this review,we introduced and compared different human stem cell/organoid-derived models,and comprehensively summarized and discussed the recently developed models for various primary tumors in the central and peripheral nervous systems,including glioblastoma(GBM),H3K27M-mutant Diffuse Midline Glioma(DMG)and H3G34R-mutant High-grade Glioma(HGG),Low-grade Glioma(LGG),Neurofibromatosis Type 1(NF1),Neurofibromatosis Type 2(NF2),Medulloblastoma(MB),Atypical Teratoid/rhabdoid Tumor(AT/RT),and meningioma.We further compared these models with PDX and GEM models,and discussed the opportunities and challenges of precision nervous cancer modeling with human stem cells and organoids.

文摘Objective:To investigate the clinical value of a minimally-invasive treatment of communicating hydrocephalus using a percutaneous lumboperitoneal (LP) shunt.Method:The clinical and long-term follow-up data of 256 patients suffering from communicating hydrocephalus and undergoing percutaneous LP shunt during 1998 to 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:After the follow-up,which lasted 6 months to 10 years,219 cases of communicating hydrocephalus recovered well (ventricular size returned to normal and symptoms completely disappeared),25 cases were brought under control (ventricle size reduced by 50% and symptoms partially abated),and 12 cases showed no obvious changes.Fifteen obese subjects needed modifications of the shunt due to the obstruction of the abdominal end following wrapping,and one subject underwent extubation as the subject was unable to tolerate stimulation of the cauda equina.The effectiveness of shunting was 91.40% and the probability of shunt-tube obstruction,which occurs predominantly in the abdominal end,was only 5.85%,far lower than that of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt.Three subjects had a history of infection following VP shunting.Conclusion:LP shunting is minimally invasive and effective in treating communicating hydrocephalus,with fewer complications.

文摘Arabidopsis CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTOMORPHO GENIC1(COP1)and PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTORs(PIFs)are negative regulators,and ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5(HY5)is a positive regulator of seedling photomorphogenic development.Here,we report that SICKLE(SIC),a proline rich protein,acts as a novel negative regulator of photomorphogenesis.HY5 directly binds the SIC promoter and activates SIC expression in response to light.In turn,SIC physically interacts with HY5 and interferes with its transcriptional regulation of downstream target genes.Moreover,SIC interacts with PIF4 and promotes PIF4-activated transcription of itself.Interestingly,SIC is targeted by COP1 for 26S proteasomemediated degradation in the dark.Collectively,our data demonstrate that light-induced SIC functions as a brake to prevent exaggerated light response via mediating HY5 and PIF4 signaling,and its degradation by COP1 in the dark avoid too strong inhibition on photomorphogenesis at the beginning of light exposure.
