Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a common neurodegenerative disorder with no cure.Astragalus membranaceus is used in Chinese culture as a food supplement to boost immunity.The present study aimed to explore the neuroprotect...Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a common neurodegenerative disorder with no cure.Astragalus membranaceus is used in Chinese culture as a food supplement to boost immunity.The present study aimed to explore the neuroprotective effects of total flavonoids extracted from A.membranaceus(TFA)and their protective mechanisms.TFA offered neuroprotection against 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)in the mouse model of Parkinsonism,by improving behavior performance in the gait analysis and pole test,and inhibiting the decline of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)positive neurons and TH protein expression in substantia nigra of mice.TFA also prevented 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium(MPP+)induced neurotoxicity in SHSY5Y cells,by increasing GSH and GSH/GSSG ratio,and reducing reactive oxygen species.In addition,the neuroprotective effects of TFA were associated with its ability to restore MPTP/MPP+induced downregulation of SLC7A11 and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX-4).In conclusion,we demonstrated that TFA exerted significant neuroprotection against MPTP/MPP+induced neurodegeneration by inhibiting ferroptosis through the regulation of SLC7A11/GPX-4 axis,suggesting the use of TFA as a possible food supplement in the prevention of PD.展开更多
Microstructures determine mechanical properties of steels,but in actual steel product process it is difficult to accurately control the microstructure to meet the requirements.General microstructure characterization m...Microstructures determine mechanical properties of steels,but in actual steel product process it is difficult to accurately control the microstructure to meet the requirements.General microstructure characterization methods are time consuming and results are not rep-resentative for overall quality level as only a fraction of steel sample was selected to be examined.In this paper,a macro and micro coupled 3D model was developed for nondestructively characterization of steel microstructures.For electromagnetic signals analysis,the relative permeability value computed by the micro cellular model can be used in the macro electromagnetic sensor model.The effects of different microstructure components on the relative permeability of duplex stainless steel(grain size,phase fraction,and phase distribu-tion)were discussed.The output inductance of an electromagnetic sensor was determined by relative permeability values and can be val-idated experimentally.The findings indicate that the inductance value of an electromagnetic sensor at low frequency can distinguish dif-ferent microstructures.This method can be applied to real-time on-line characterize steel microstructures in process of steel rolling.展开更多
Objective:Magnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy(MCCG)is an effective method for screening gastric diseases;however,its performance may be affected by gastric cleanliness.We aimed to explore the correlation betwe...Objective:Magnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy(MCCG)is an effective method for screening gastric diseases;however,its performance may be affected by gastric cleanliness.We aimed to explore the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and the degree of gastric cleanliness in the MCCG.Methods:This retrospective study enrolled 297 participants from October 2020 to April 2024 at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine.Participant characteristics,MCCG examination results,and(13)C-urea breath test(C13-UBT)results were collected.The gastric cleanliness in MCCG examinations was assessed using a gastric cleanliness score.Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the relationships among participant characteristics,H.pylori infection,and gastric cleanliness.Chi-square tests and Fisher's exact tests were used to analyze the relationships among gastric lesions,H.pylori infection,and gastric cleanliness.Results:Among the participants,24.2%had H.pylori infection,and 17.5%had poor gastric cleanliness.Hypertension(odds ratio[OR]:2.63;95%confidence interval[CI]:1.36e5.09;p?0.004)was associated with a greater likelihood of H.pylori infection.H.pylori infection(OR:3.76;95%CI:1.99e7.09;p<0.001)was an independent risk factor for poor gastric cleanliness in the MCCG.A significant disparity was noted in the prevalence of focal erosions(p<0.001),gastric ulcers(p?0.001),and positive gastric lesions(p?0.027)between the 2 groups with and without H.pylori infection.The proportion of positive gastric lesions was not significantly different between the good gastric cleanliness group and the poor gastric cleanliness group(25.7%vs.21.2%;p?0.490).Conclusion:The findings of this study revealed that H.pylori infection was associated with hypertension.H.pylori infection may lead to poor gastric cleanliness.Institutions are advised to perform C13-UBT before MCCG,and participants should be informed of the risk of poor gastric cleanliness if the results are positive.The decision to perform H.pylori eradication before MCCG should take into account patient willingness and the benefit-to-risk ratio.展开更多
Doped HfO_(2)-based ferroelectric(FE)films are emerging as leading contenders for next-generation FE nonvolatile memories due to their excellent compatibility with complementary metal oxide semiconductor processes and...Doped HfO_(2)-based ferroelectric(FE)films are emerging as leading contenders for next-generation FE nonvolatile memories due to their excellent compatibility with complementary metal oxide semiconductor processes and robust ferroelectricity at nanoscale dimensions.Despite the considerable attention paid to the FE properties of HfO_(2)-based films in recent years,enhancing their polarization switching speed remains a critical research challenge.We demonstrate the strong ferroelectricity of sub-10nm Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)(HZO)thin films and show that the polarization switching speed of these thin films can be significantly affected by HZO thickness and anisotropically strained La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MO_(3)-buffered layer.Our observations indicate that the HZO thin film thickness and anisotropically strained La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MO_(3)layer influence the nucleation of reverse domains by altering the phase composition of the HZO thin film,thereby reducing the polarization switching time.Although the increase in HZO thickness and anisotropic compressive strain hinder the formation of the FE phase,they can enable faster switching.Our findings suggest that FE HZO ultrathin films with polar orthorhombic structures have broad application prospects in microelectronic devices.These insights into novel methods for increasing polarization switching speed are poised to advance the development of high-performance FE devices.展开更多

All of these patients received modified laparoscopic Sugarbakerhernia repair treatment. This modifed technique included an innovative three-point anchoring and complete su-turing technique to fix the mesh. All procedures were performed by a skilled hernia surgeon. Demographic data and perioperative outcomes were collected to eva-luate the safety and effcacy of this modifed technique.RESULTSOf these eight patients, two had concomitant incisional hernias. All the hernias were repaired by the modifed laparoscopic Sugarbaker technique with no conversion to laparotomy. Three patients had in-situ reconstruc-tion of intestinal stoma. The median mesh size was 300 cm2, and the mean operative time was 205.6 min. The mean postoperative hospitalization time was 10.4 d, with a median pain score of 1 (visual analog scale method) at postoperative day 1. Two patientsdeveloped postoperative complications. One patient had a pocket of effusion surrounding the biologic mesh, and one patient experienced an infection around the reconstructed stoma. Both patients recovered after conservative management. There was no recurrence during the follow-up period (6-22 mo, average 13 mo).CONCLUSIONThe modifed laparoscopic Sugarbaker repair could fx the mesh reliably with mild postoperative pain and a low recurrence rate. The technique is safe and feasible for parastomal hernias.展开更多

In 2011, China received the exploration rights for 10,000 km2 of a polymetallic sulfides area in the Southwest Indian Ocean; China will be permitted to retain only 25% of the area in 2021. However, an exploration of seafioor hydrothermal sulfide deposits in China remains in the initial stage. According to the quantitative prediction theory and the exploration status of seafloor sulfides, this paper systematically proposes a quantitative prediction evaluation process of oceanic polymetallic sulfide resources and divides it into three stages: prediction in a large area, prediction in the prospecting region, and the verification and evaluation of targets. The first two stages of the prediction process have been employed in seafloor sulfides prospecting of the Chinese contract area. The results of stage one suggest that the Chinese contract area is located in the high posterior probability area, which indicates good prospecting potential area in the Indian Ocean. In stage two, the Chinese contract area of 48^-52~E has the highest posterior probability value, which can be selected as the reserved region for additional exploration. In stage three, the method of numerical simulation is employed to reproduce the ore-forming process of sulfides to verify the accuracy of the reserved targets obtained from the three-stage prediction. By narrowing the exploration area and gradually improving the exploration accuracy, the prediction will provide a basis for the exploration and exploitation of seafloor polymetallic sulfide resources.展开更多
In the present study,the electrophoretic deposition method was successfully applied as a binder-free and scalable approach to deposit carbonaceous nanomaterials on carbon fiber paper(CFP)for cathode applications in Li...In the present study,the electrophoretic deposition method was successfully applied as a binder-free and scalable approach to deposit carbonaceous nanomaterials on carbon fiber paper(CFP)for cathode applications in Li-S batteries.The microstructural studies of the EPD-CNT film using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)revealed the formation of a crack-free and porous layer of CNTs being uniformly distributed on the CFP surface.The EPD:CFP/CNT/S cathode delivered a capacity around 2.2 times higher than that obtained in the absence of the EPD-CNT film(CFP/S cell)after 50 cycles and a capacity of935 mAh g^-1 after 100 cycles at 0.1 C.The EPD method was then employed to fabricate layer-by-layer structures where the EPD-CNT film was decorated with carbon black particles.The initial capacity as well as the reversible capacity after 100 cycles was further increased by the EPD:CFP/CNT/KB/S layer-by-layer structure to 1473 and 1033 mAh g^-1,respectively,indicating effective suppression of the shuttle effect.In addition,the rate performance of CFP/S was improved by depositing the EPD-CNT and EPD-CNT/carbon black architectures on CFP surface,and even further enhanced through the co-deposition of CNT and Pt nanoparticles by EPD,delivering a specific capacity of around 730 mAh g^-1 at 1 C.Finally,the cathodes fabricated by EPD were observed to outperform those made by the conventional casting method in terms of cycling performance,internal resistance,and polarization.This difference was ascribed to the non-uniform microstructure of the Cast-CNT film,which resulted in poor interfacial connection between the CNT agglomerates,hindering uniform sulfide/sulfur deposition during cycling.The obtained results suggested that the binder-free C/S nanocomposite cathode made by EPD is key to further enhance the specific capacity and energy density of Li-S batteries.展开更多

To meet this re- quirement, a set of simplified constraint equations includ- ing distribution characteristics of the resonant frequencies of the primary system is established for the minimax objective function. The modified constraint equations have less un- known variables than those by other authors, which not only simplifies the computation but also improves the accuracy of the optimal values. Subsequent treatment is thus m...Concomitant fractures of the hook of hamate and scaphoid are rare injuries to the wrist. Whenever these fractures cannot be effectively managed, nonunion or osteonecrosis is encountered. Subsequent treatment is thus much more challenging for a hand surgeon or orthopedist. Minimally invasive percutaneous internal fixation is an optimal treatment with the potential to minimize injury and reduce fractures. However, the control of iatrogenic injuries, including possible damage to the adjacent vital tissue, is a challenge that needs to be addressed. Herein,we describe the case of a 26-year-old man who presented with fractures to the scaphoid and hook of hamate in his left wrist. Minimally invasive treatment-with closed reduction and percutaneous fixation of the scaphoid, wrist arthroscopy, and closed reduction and percutaneous fixation of the hook of hamate-was performed at our institution. The Mayo score of the wrist, visual analog scale(VAS) for pain, grip strength, pinch strength, and wrist motion in radial/ulnar and flexion/extension deviation were recorded. Primary healing was achieved in both fractures. At the final follow-up, the Mayo score of the wrist was 100(excellent), the VAS score was 0(no pain),and the grip and pinch strength of his injured hand were 90.9% and 83.3%, respectively, compared with the contralateral hand(grip strength: left, 50 kg;right, 55 kg. Pinch strength: left, 20 kg;right, 24 kg). The radialulnar, flexion-extension, and forearm pronation-supination directions were 30°, 140°, and 90°, respectively.Minimally invasive closed reduction with percutaneous internal fixation is an optimal technique with satisfactory outcomes for simultaneous fractures of the hook of hamate and scaphoid. Provided in this paper are details of the technique and technical suggestions for performing the procedure.展开更多

Designing implant coatings that incorporate both immune de...Orthopedic and dental implantations under bacterial infection microenvironment face significant challenges in achieving high-quality bone-implant integration. Designing implant coatings that incorporate both immune defense and anti-inflammation is difficult in conventional single-functional coatings. We introduce a multifunctional nanointerface using a zinc finger-inspired peptide-metal-phenolic nanocoating, designed to enhance implant osseointegration under such conditions. Abaloparatide (ABL), a second-generation anabolic drug for treating osteoporosis, can be integrated into the design of a zinc-phenolic network constructed on the implant surface (ABL@ZnTA). Importantly, the phenolic-coordinated Zn2+ ions in ABL@ZnTA can act as zinc finger motif to co-stabilize the configuration of ABL through multiple molecular interactions, enabling high bioactivity, high loading capacity (1.36 times), and long-term release (>7 days) of ABL. Our results showed that ABL@ZnTA can modulate macrophage polarization from the pro-inflammatory M1 towards the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype, promoting immune osteogenesis with increased OCN, ALP, and SOD 1 expression. Furthermore, the ABL@ZnTA significantly reduces inflammatory fibrous tissue encapsulation and enhances the long-term stability of the implants, indicated by enhanced binding strength (6 times) and functional connectivity (1.5−3 times) in the rat bone defect model infected by S. aureus. Overall, our research offers a nano-enabled synergistic strategy that balances infection defense and osteogenesis promotion in orthopedic and dental implantations.展开更多
We aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir(Paxlovid)therapy for hemodialysis-dependent patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.Thirteen hemodia...We aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir(Paxlovid)therapy for hemodialysis-dependent patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.Thirteen hemodialysis patients infected with the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 from April 3 to May 30,2022,were recruited.Laboratory parameters and chest CT(computed tomography)imaging were analyzed.The treatment group included six patients who received 150 mg/100 mg of Paxlovid orally once daily for 5 days,whereas the control group included seven patients who received basic treatment.No serious adverse reactions or safety events were recorded.Four control patients progressed to moderate disease,and none in the treatment group showed progression of chest CT findings(P<0.05).Paxlovid therapy tended toward early viral clearance and low viral load on Day 8.Moreover,83.3%of the patients in the treatment group and 57.1%of the patients in the control group turned negative within 22 days.In the Paxlovid treatment group,we found significantly increased levels of lymphocytes(P=0.03)and eosinophils(P=0.02)and decreased levels of D-dimer on Day 8 compared with those on Day 1.Paxlovid therapy showed a potential therapeutic effect with good tolerance in hemodialysis patients.The optimal dose and effectiveness evaluation must be further investigated in a largeer cohort.展开更多
In microbial ecology,there is limited understanding of the mechanisms governing patterns in community structure across space and time.Here,we studied the changes of bacterial co-occurrence network structure over four ...In microbial ecology,there is limited understanding of the mechanisms governing patterns in community structure across space and time.Here,we studied the changes of bacterial co-occurrence network structure over four primary successional soils after glacier retreat,including a sand dune system and three glacier foreland series,varying in timescale from centuries to millennia.We found that in all series,network structure was most complex in the earliest stages of succession,and became simpler over time.Richness and abundance of keystone species and network stability also declined over time.It appears that with less productive,nutrient poor and physiologically extreme conditions of early succession,closer interactions among bacterial species are ecologically selected for.These may take the form of consortia(with positive interactions)or stronger niche exclusion(with negative interactions).Additionally,we quantified the relative roles of different structuring processes on bacterial community using a bin-based null model analysis(iCAMP).With each successional series,community composition was initially governed by stochasticity,but as succession proceeded there was a progressive increase in deterministic selection over time,correlated with decreasing pH.Overall,our results show a consistency among the four series in long-term processes of community succession,with more integrated networks and greater stochasticity in early stages.展开更多

The mean postoperative hospitalization time was 10.4 d, with a median pain score of 1 (visual analog scale method) at postoperative day 1. Two patientsdeveloped postoperative complications. One patient had a pocket of effusion surrounding the biologic mesh, and one patient experienced an infection around the reconstructed stoma. Both patients recovered after conservative management. There was no recurrence during the follow-up period (6-22 mo, average 13 mo).CONCLUSIONThe modifed laparoscopic Sugarbaker repair could fx the mesh reliably with mild postoperative pain and a low recurrence rate. The technique is safe and feasible for parastomal hernias.

文摘Seafloor polymetallic sulfide resources exhibit significant development potential. In 2011, China received the exploration rights for 10,000 km2 of a polymetallic sulfides area in the Southwest Indian Ocean; China will be permitted to retain only 25% of the area in 2021. However, an exploration of seafioor hydrothermal sulfide deposits in China remains in the initial stage. According to the quantitative prediction theory and the exploration status of seafloor sulfides, this paper systematically proposes a quantitative prediction evaluation process of oceanic polymetallic sulfide resources and divides it into three stages: prediction in a large area, prediction in the prospecting region, and the verification and evaluation of targets. The first two stages of the prediction process have been employed in seafloor sulfides prospecting of the Chinese contract area. The results of stage one suggest that the Chinese contract area is located in the high posterior probability area, which indicates good prospecting potential area in the Indian Ocean. In stage two, the Chinese contract area of 48^-52~E has the highest posterior probability value, which can be selected as the reserved region for additional exploration. In stage three, the method of numerical simulation is employed to reproduce the ore-forming process of sulfides to verify the accuracy of the reserved targets obtained from the three-stage prediction. By narrowing the exploration area and gradually improving the exploration accuracy, the prediction will provide a basis for the exploration and exploitation of seafloor polymetallic sulfide resources.

文摘In the present study,the electrophoretic deposition method was successfully applied as a binder-free and scalable approach to deposit carbonaceous nanomaterials on carbon fiber paper(CFP)for cathode applications in Li-S batteries.The microstructural studies of the EPD-CNT film using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)revealed the formation of a crack-free and porous layer of CNTs being uniformly distributed on the CFP surface.The EPD:CFP/CNT/S cathode delivered a capacity around 2.2 times higher than that obtained in the absence of the EPD-CNT film(CFP/S cell)after 50 cycles and a capacity of935 mAh g^-1 after 100 cycles at 0.1 C.The EPD method was then employed to fabricate layer-by-layer structures where the EPD-CNT film was decorated with carbon black particles.The initial capacity as well as the reversible capacity after 100 cycles was further increased by the EPD:CFP/CNT/KB/S layer-by-layer structure to 1473 and 1033 mAh g^-1,respectively,indicating effective suppression of the shuttle effect.In addition,the rate performance of CFP/S was improved by depositing the EPD-CNT and EPD-CNT/carbon black architectures on CFP surface,and even further enhanced through the co-deposition of CNT and Pt nanoparticles by EPD,delivering a specific capacity of around 730 mAh g^-1 at 1 C.Finally,the cathodes fabricated by EPD were observed to outperform those made by the conventional casting method in terms of cycling performance,internal resistance,and polarization.This difference was ascribed to the non-uniform microstructure of the Cast-CNT film,which resulted in poor interfacial connection between the CNT agglomerates,hindering uniform sulfide/sulfur deposition during cycling.The obtained results suggested that the binder-free C/S nanocomposite cathode made by EPD is key to further enhance the specific capacity and energy density of Li-S batteries.

文摘In this paper, a minimax design of damped dynamic vibration absorber for a damped primary system is investigated to minimize the vibration magnitude peaks. Moreover, to reduce the sensitivity of the primary system response to variations of the forcing frequency for a two- degree-of-freedom system, the primary system should have two equal resonance magnitude peaks. To meet this re- quirement, a set of simplified constraint equations includ- ing distribution characteristics of the resonant frequencies of the primary system is established for the minimax objective function. The modified constraint equations have less un- known variables than those by other authors, which not only simplifies the computation but also improves the accuracy of the optimal values. The advantage of the proposed method is illustrated through numerical simulations.
文摘Concomitant fractures of the hook of hamate and scaphoid are rare injuries to the wrist. Whenever these fractures cannot be effectively managed, nonunion or osteonecrosis is encountered. Subsequent treatment is thus much more challenging for a hand surgeon or orthopedist. Minimally invasive percutaneous internal fixation is an optimal treatment with the potential to minimize injury and reduce fractures. However, the control of iatrogenic injuries, including possible damage to the adjacent vital tissue, is a challenge that needs to be addressed. Herein,we describe the case of a 26-year-old man who presented with fractures to the scaphoid and hook of hamate in his left wrist. Minimally invasive treatment-with closed reduction and percutaneous fixation of the scaphoid, wrist arthroscopy, and closed reduction and percutaneous fixation of the hook of hamate-was performed at our institution. The Mayo score of the wrist, visual analog scale(VAS) for pain, grip strength, pinch strength, and wrist motion in radial/ulnar and flexion/extension deviation were recorded. Primary healing was achieved in both fractures. At the final follow-up, the Mayo score of the wrist was 100(excellent), the VAS score was 0(no pain),and the grip and pinch strength of his injured hand were 90.9% and 83.3%, respectively, compared with the contralateral hand(grip strength: left, 50 kg;right, 55 kg. Pinch strength: left, 20 kg;right, 24 kg). The radialulnar, flexion-extension, and forearm pronation-supination directions were 30°, 140°, and 90°, respectively.Minimally invasive closed reduction with percutaneous internal fixation is an optimal technique with satisfactory outcomes for simultaneous fractures of the hook of hamate and scaphoid. Provided in this paper are details of the technique and technical suggestions for performing the procedure.

文摘Orthopedic and dental implantations under bacterial infection microenvironment face significant challenges in achieving high-quality bone-implant integration. Designing implant coatings that incorporate both immune defense and anti-inflammation is difficult in conventional single-functional coatings. We introduce a multifunctional nanointerface using a zinc finger-inspired peptide-metal-phenolic nanocoating, designed to enhance implant osseointegration under such conditions. Abaloparatide (ABL), a second-generation anabolic drug for treating osteoporosis, can be integrated into the design of a zinc-phenolic network constructed on the implant surface (ABL@ZnTA). Importantly, the phenolic-coordinated Zn2+ ions in ABL@ZnTA can act as zinc finger motif to co-stabilize the configuration of ABL through multiple molecular interactions, enabling high bioactivity, high loading capacity (1.36 times), and long-term release (>7 days) of ABL. Our results showed that ABL@ZnTA can modulate macrophage polarization from the pro-inflammatory M1 towards the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype, promoting immune osteogenesis with increased OCN, ALP, and SOD 1 expression. Furthermore, the ABL@ZnTA significantly reduces inflammatory fibrous tissue encapsulation and enhances the long-term stability of the implants, indicated by enhanced binding strength (6 times) and functional connectivity (1.5−3 times) in the rat bone defect model infected by S. aureus. Overall, our research offers a nano-enabled synergistic strategy that balances infection defense and osteogenesis promotion in orthopedic and dental implantations.

文摘We aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir(Paxlovid)therapy for hemodialysis-dependent patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection.Thirteen hemodialysis patients infected with the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 from April 3 to May 30,2022,were recruited.Laboratory parameters and chest CT(computed tomography)imaging were analyzed.The treatment group included six patients who received 150 mg/100 mg of Paxlovid orally once daily for 5 days,whereas the control group included seven patients who received basic treatment.No serious adverse reactions or safety events were recorded.Four control patients progressed to moderate disease,and none in the treatment group showed progression of chest CT findings(P<0.05).Paxlovid therapy tended toward early viral clearance and low viral load on Day 8.Moreover,83.3%of the patients in the treatment group and 57.1%of the patients in the control group turned negative within 22 days.In the Paxlovid treatment group,we found significantly increased levels of lymphocytes(P=0.03)and eosinophils(P=0.02)and decreased levels of D-dimer on Day 8 compared with those on Day 1.Paxlovid therapy showed a potential therapeutic effect with good tolerance in hemodialysis patients.The optimal dose and effectiveness evaluation must be further investigated in a largeer cohort.
文摘In microbial ecology,there is limited understanding of the mechanisms governing patterns in community structure across space and time.Here,we studied the changes of bacterial co-occurrence network structure over four primary successional soils after glacier retreat,including a sand dune system and three glacier foreland series,varying in timescale from centuries to millennia.We found that in all series,network structure was most complex in the earliest stages of succession,and became simpler over time.Richness and abundance of keystone species and network stability also declined over time.It appears that with less productive,nutrient poor and physiologically extreme conditions of early succession,closer interactions among bacterial species are ecologically selected for.These may take the form of consortia(with positive interactions)or stronger niche exclusion(with negative interactions).Additionally,we quantified the relative roles of different structuring processes on bacterial community using a bin-based null model analysis(iCAMP).With each successional series,community composition was initially governed by stochasticity,but as succession proceeded there was a progressive increase in deterministic selection over time,correlated with decreasing pH.Overall,our results show a consistency among the four series in long-term processes of community succession,with more integrated networks and greater stochasticity in early stages.
