Due to their high reliability and cost-efficiency,submarine pipelines are widely used in offshore oil and gas resource engineering.Due to the interaction of waves, currents, seabed, and pipeline structures, the soil around submarine pipelines is prone to local scour, severely affecting their operational safety. With the Yellow River Delta as the research area and based on the renormalized group(RNG)k-εturbulence model and Stokes fifth-order wave theory, this study solves the Navier-Stokes(N-S)equation using the finite difference method. The volume of fluid(VOF)method is used to describe the fluid-free surface, and a threedimensional numerical model of currents and waves-submarine pipeline-silty sandy seabed is established. The rationality of the numerical model is verified using a self-built waveflow flume. On this basis,in this study, the local scour development and characteristics of submarine pipelines in the Yellow River Delta silty sandy seabed in the prototype environment are explored and the influence of the presence of pipelines on hydrodynamic features such as surrounding flow field, shear stress, and turbulence intensity is analyzed. The results indicate that(1)local scour around submarine pipelines can be divided into three stages:rapid scour, slow scour, and stable scour. The maximum scour depth occurs directly below the pipeline, and the shape of the scour pits is asymmetric.(2)As the water depth decreases and the pipeline suspension height increases, the scour becomes more intense.(3)When currents go through a pipeline,a clear stagnation point is formed in front of the pipeline, and the flow velocity is positively correlated with the depth of scour. This study can provide a valuable reference for the protection of submarine pipelines in this area. 展开更多

The femtosecond laser has emerged as a powerful tool for micro-and nanoscale device fabrication. Through nonlinear ionization processes, nanometer-sized material modifications can be inscribed in transparent materials for device fabrication. This paper describes femtosecond precision inscription of nanograting in silica fiber cores to form both distributed and point fiber sensors for sensing applications in extreme environmental conditions. Through the use of scanning electron microscope imaging and laser processing optimization,high-temperature stable, Type II femtosecond laser modifications were continuously inscribed, point by point, with only an insertion loss at 1 d B m~(-1) or 0.001 d B per point sensor device.High-temperature performance of fiber sensors was tested at 1000℃, which showed a temperature fluctuation of ±5.5℃ over 5 days. The low laser-induced insertion loss in optical fibers enabled the fabrication of a 1.4 m, radiation-resilient distributed fiber sensor. The in-pile testing of the distributed fiber sensor further showed that fiber sensors can execute stable and distributed temperature measurements in extreme radiation environments. Overall, this paper demonstrates that femtosecond-laser-fabricated fiber sensors are suitable measurement devices for applications in extreme environments. 展开更多

Cloud vendors are actively adopting FPGAs into their infrastructures for enhancing performance and efficiency. As cloud services continue to evolve,FPGA(field programmable gate array)systems would play an even important role in the future. In this context,FPGA sharing in multi-tenancy scenarios is crucial for the wide adoption of FPGA in the cloud.Recently, many works have been done towards effective FPGA sharing at different layers of the cloud computing stack. In this work,we provide a comprehensive survey of recent works on FPGA sharing. We examine prior art from different aspects and encapsulate relevant proposals on a few key topics. On the one hand,we discuss representative papers on FPGA resource sharing schemes;on the other hand,we also summarize important SW/HW techniques that support effective sharing.Importantly,we further analyze the system design cost behind FPGA sharing. Finally, based on our survey,we identify key opportunities and challenges of FPGA sharing in future cloud scenarios. 展开更多
