Analyzing polysorbate 20(PS20)composition and the impact of each component on stability and safety is crucial due to formulation variations and individual tolerance.The similar structures and polarities of PS20 compon...Analyzing polysorbate 20(PS20)composition and the impact of each component on stability and safety is crucial due to formulation variations and individual tolerance.The similar structures and polarities of PS20 components make accurate separation,identification,and quantification challenging.In this work,a high-resolution quantitative method was developed using single-dimensional high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)with charged aerosol detection(CAD)to separate 18 key components with multiple esters.The separated components were characterized by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS)with an identical gradient as the HPLC-CAD analysis.The polysorbate compound database and library were expanded over 7-time compared to the commercial database.The method investigated differences in PS20 samples from various origins and grades for different dosage forms to evaluate the composition-process relationship.UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS identified 1329 to 1511 compounds in 4 batches of PS20 from different sources.The method observed the impact of 4 degradation conditions on peak components,identifying stable components and their tendencies to change.HPLC-CAD and UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS results provided insights into fingerprint differences,distinguishing quasi products.展开更多
AIM: To investigate the association between the CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) and serum Helico- bacter pylori (H. pylori) levels for clinical prediction of gastric cancer (GC) progression. METHODS: We...AIM: To investigate the association between the CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) and serum Helico- bacter pylori (H. pylori) levels for clinical prediction of gastric cancer (GC) progression. METHODS: We analyzed the serum ClMP status of 75 patients with GC using a methylation marker panel and a methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction. Serum samples from 40 healthy persons were examined at the same time. The genes examined were APC, WIF-1, RUNX-3, DLC-1, SFRP-1, DKK and E-cad. H. pylori infec- tion in serum was assayed with an anti-H, pylori immu- noglobulin G antibody test and a rapid urease test. RESULTS: The frequencies of high-level methylation in GC tissues for the seven genes were: 48% for APC, 57.33% for WIF-1, 56% for RUNX-3, 50.67% for DLC-1, 52% for SFRP-1, 54.67% for DKK, and 48% for E-cad.The frequencies in GC serum were 30.67% for APC, 34.67% for WIF-1, 37.33% for RUNX-3, 29.33% for DLC-1, 33.33% for SFRP-1, 32% for DKK, and 26.67% for E-cad. CIMP+ (defined as ≥ 3 methylated genes) was associated with 47 (62.67%) GC tissue samples and 44 (58.67%) GC serum samples. CIMP+ was not associated with non-neoplastic mucosal tissues or the serum of healthy persons. Of the 75 GC cases, 51 (68%) were H. pylori+, and 24 (32%) were H. pylori-. Of the 51 H. pylori+ cases, 36 were CIMP+ and 15 were CIMP-. In contrast, for the 24 H. pylori- cases, 11 were CIMP+, and 13 were CIMP-. The difference was signifi- cant between the H. pylori+ and H. pylori- groups χ2 = 4.27, P 〈 0.05). Of the 51 H. pylori+ GC patients, 34 were CIMP+ and 17 were CIMP-, while among the 24 H. pylori- GC cases, 10 were CIMP+ and 14 were CIMP-. The difference was significant between the H. pylori+ and H. pylori- groups (χ2 = 4.21, P 〈 0.05). A 2-year follow-up showed significant difference in the rates of metastasis and recurrence between H. pylori+/CIMP+ cases and the H. pylori+/CIMP- cases or CIMP- cases associated with H. pylori assayed in serum (P 〈 0.05). However, there were no significant differences in sur- vival rates between the two groups. CONCLUSION: H. pylori+/CIMP+ cases are associ- ated with higher rates of metastasis and recurrence thanH, pylori+/CIMP- cases. Serum may be useful for examining CIMP status.展开更多
Nanomultilayered TiN/Ni thin films with different bilayer periods(57.8-99.7 nm) and Ni single-layer thickness(3.9-19.2 nm) were prepared by alternatively sputtering Ti and Ni targets in N2 gas atmosphere.The micros tr...Nanomultilayered TiN/Ni thin films with different bilayer periods(57.8-99.7 nm) and Ni single-layer thickness(3.9-19.2 nm) were prepared by alternatively sputtering Ti and Ni targets in N2 gas atmosphere.The micros tructure,mechanical and corrosion properties of the multilayer films were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),nanoindenter and electrochemical technologies.The multilayer films are fine with a mean grain size of ~8-9 nm independent of the bilayer period.However,the smoothness and compactness seem to decrease with the bilayer period increasing.The hardness(H) and elastic modulus(E) of the multilayer films gradually decrease as the bilayer period increases,and the multilayer film with bilayer period of 57.8 nm exhibits higher H,ratios of(H/E^*and H^3/E^*2)(E^*is effective Young’s modulus)than the monolithic TiN film and the other multilayers.The multilayer films exhibit an obvious passivation phenomenon in 10% H2SO4 solution,and the passive current and corrosion current densities decrease,whereas the corrosion potential increases when the bilayer period or Ni single-layer thickness decreases.It is found that the passivating behavior and corrosion potential of the multilayers are more sensitive to Ni single-layer thickness than the bilayer period.More corrosion pits and lamellar flaking could be found on the films with larger bilayer period or Ni single-layer thickness.展开更多

All title compounds were evaluated for their...A series of novel N-(3-furan-2-yl-l-phenyl-lH-pyrazol-5-yl) amides derivatives were designed and synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. All title compounds were evaluated for their herbicidal and antifungal activities. Preliminary bioassay results indicated that the title compounds showed good to moderate herbicidal activity at 1000 mg/L. Compound 6q presented the best activity against Digitaria sanguinalis (L) Scop., Amaranthus retroflexus L. and Arabidopsis thaliana with an inhibition degree of five. Compound 6d also showed an inhibition degree of five against D. sanguinalis. In addition, at 50 mg/L, most compounds exhibited good in vitro antifungal activity against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, with compound 6c showing over 90% antifungal activity against S. sclerotiorum and Pellicularia sasakii.展开更多
Three novel polyoxovanadate-based metal-organic frameworks(POV-MOFs),[Co_(2)(1,4-dtzb)_(3)]{V_(4)O_(12)}(V-Co-MOF_(1),1,4-dtzb=1,4-di(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzene],[Co_(3)(1,3-dtzb)_(2)][{V_(6)O_(18)}(V-Co-MOF_(2),1,...Three novel polyoxovanadate-based metal-organic frameworks(POV-MOFs),[Co_(2)(1,4-dtzb)_(3)]{V_(4)O_(12)}(V-Co-MOF_(1),1,4-dtzb=1,4-di(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzene],[Co_(3)(1,3-dtzb)_(2)][{V_(6)O_(18)}(V-Co-MOF_(2),1,3-dtzb=1,3-di(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzene],[Co_(4)(4,4’-bdtzb)_(2)]{V_(8)O_(24)}(V-Co-MOF_(3),4,4’-bdtzb=4,4’-(1,1’-biphenyl)-4,4’-diylbis(4H-1,2,4-triazole)benzene]were facilely synthesized and structurally characterized.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that all the POV-MOFs possess open V sites lined on POV clusters of{V_(4)O_(12)}/{V_(6)O_(18)}/{V_(8)O_(24)}that uniformly distribute on the robust three-dimensional frameworks.This unique structural feature allows them to show high performance for sulfidesulfoxide transformation when performing the reaction in MeOH at 50℃ for 45 min using H_(2)O_(2) as green oxidant.Notably,V-Co-MOF1 exhibited the highest catalytic efficiency,with a conversion>99% and selectivity up to 97% for a series of sulfide substrates.Control reaction demonstrated the catalytically active centers are the open V sites while the MOF skeleton constructed from Co^(2+)and ligands also contributes to enhance the conversion and selectivity via synergistic effect.Furthermore,V-Co-MOF1 can be used as a stable heterogeneous catalyst,and both the structural integrity and catalytic performance were well reserved after five cycles,demonstrating their great potential for advanced catalytic oxidation.展开更多
Nanocrystalline TiN films were prepared by DC reactive magnetron sputtering.The influence of substrate biases on structure,mechanical and corrosion properties of the deposited films was studied using X-ray diffraction...Nanocrystalline TiN films were prepared by DC reactive magnetron sputtering.The influence of substrate biases on structure,mechanical and corrosion properties of the deposited films was studied using X-ray diffraction,field emission scanning electron microscopy,nanoindentation and electrochemical techniques.The deposited films have a columnar structure,and their preferential orientation strongly depends on bias voltage.The preferential orientations change from(200)plane at low bias to(111)plane at moderate bias and then to(220)plane at relatively high bias.Nanohardness H,elastic modulus E,H/E*and H3/E*2 ratios,and corrosion resistance of the deposited films increase first and then decrease with the increase in bias voltage.All the best values appear at bias of-120 V,attributing to the film with a fine,compact and less defective structure.This demonstrates that there is a close relation among microstructure,mechanical and corrosion properties of the TiN films,and the film with the best mechanical property can also provide the most effective corrosion protection.展开更多
