Among the numerous transition metal catalysts,manganese-based compounds are considered as promising peroxymonosulfate(PMS)catalysts due to their low cost and environmental friendliness,such as cryptomelane manganese oxide(K_(2-x)Mn_(8)O_(16):abbreviation KMnO).However,the limited catalytic performance of KMnO limits its practical application.In this work,iron-doped KMnO(Fe-KMnO)was prepared by one-step hydrothermal method to optimize its catalytic performance.Compared with KMnO/PMS system,Fe-KMnO/PMS system possessed more excellent removal efficiency of tetracycline(TC).Meanwhile,the Fe-KMnO/PMS system also exhibited good practical application potential and excellent stability.The mechanism of Fe-KMnO activation of PMS was further analyzed in detail.It was found that Fe participated in the redox of high-valent Mn,which promoted the activation of PMS.Moreover,The Fe site as an adsorption site enhanced the TC enrichment ability of the catalyst,reducing the mass transfer resistance and further enhancing the TC removal ability of Fe-KMnO/PMS system.This work not only provides an excellent PMS catalyst,but also offers new insights into the mechanism of PMS activation by bimetallic manganese-based catalysts. 展开更多

The data output from microbiome research is growing at an accelerating rate,yet mining the data quickly and efficiently remains difficult.There is still a lack of an effective data structure to represent and manage data,as well as flexible and composable analysis methods.In response to these two issues,we designed and developed the MicrobiotaProcess package.It provides a comprehensive data structure,MPSE,to better integrate the primary and intermediate data,which improves the integration and exploration of the downstream data.Around this data structure,the downstream analysis tasks are decomposed and a set of functions are designed under a tidy framework.These functions independently perform simple tasks and can be combined to perform complex tasks. 展开更多

The optical memory effect is an interesting phenomenon that has attracted considerable attention in recent decades. Here, we present a new physical picture of the optical memory effect, in which the memory effect and the conventional spatial shift invariance are united. Based on this picture we depict the role of thickness, scattering times, and anisotropy factor and derive equations to calculate the ranges of the angular memory effect(AME) of different scattering components(ballistic light, singly scattered, doubly scattered, etc.), and hence a more accurate equation for the real AME ranges of volumetric turbid media. A conventional random phase mask model is modified according to the new picture. The self-consistency of the simulation model and its agreement with the experiment demonstrate the rationality of the model and the physical picture, which provide powerful tools for more sophisticated studies of the memory-effect-related phenomena and wavefront-sensitive techniques, such as wavefront shaping, optical phase conjugation, and optical trapping in/through scattering media. 展开更多

Imaging through scattering media via speckle autocorrelation is a popular method based on the optical memory effect.However,it fails if the amount of valid information acquired is insufficient due to a limited sensor size.In this Letter,we reveal a relationship between the detector and object sizes for the minimum requirement to ensure image reconstruction by defining a sampling ratio R,and propose a method to enhance the image quality at a small R by capturing multiple frames of speckle patterns and piecing them together.This method will be helpful in expanding applications of speckle autocorrelation to remote sensing,underwater probing,and so on. 展开更多

Functional enrichment analysis is pivotal for interpreting highthroughput omics data in life science.It is crucial for this type of tool to use the latest annotation databases for as many organisms as possible.To meet these requirements,we present here an updated version of our popular Bioconductor package,clusterProfiler 4.0.This package has been enhanced considerably compared with its original version published 9 years ago.The new version provides a universal interface for functional enrichment analysis in thousands of organisms based on internally supported ontologies and pathways as well as annotation data provided by users or derived from online databases.It also extends the dplyr and ggplot2 packages to offer tidy interfaces for data operation and visualization.Other new features include gene set enrichment analysis and comparison of enrichment results from multiple gene lists.We anticipate that clusterProfiler 4.0 will be applied to a wide range of scenarios across diverse organisms. 展开更多

Regression-transgression cycles of paleolakes in the Fen River Graben Basin during the mid to late Quaternary and their tectonic implication

An investigation into lake terraces and their sexiimentary features in the Fen River Graben Basin shows that several paleolake regression-transgression cycles took place during the mid to late Quaternary. The horizontal distribution of the lowest loess/paleosol unit overlying each lake terrace indicates the occurrence of four rapid lake regressions when paleosols $8, $5, $2, and S1 began to develop. The horizontal distribution of the topmost loess/ paleosol unit underlying the lacustrine sediment in each transition zone between two adjacent terraces indicates that following a lake regression, a very slow lake transgression occurred. The durations of three lake transgressions correspond to those of the deposition or development of loess/paleosols L8 to L6, L5 to L3, and L2. It is thereby inferred that regional tectonic movement is likely the primary factor resulting in the cyclical process ofpaleolake regressions and transgressions. Taking these findings along with published geophysical research results regarding the upper mantle movements underneath the graben basin into account, this paper deduces that a cause and effect relationship may exist between the paleolake regression- transgression cycles and the tectonic activity in the upper mantle. The occurrence of a rapid lake regression implies that the upwelling of the upper mantle underneath the graben basin may be dominant and resulting in a rapid uplifting of the basin floor. The subsequent slow lake transgression implies that the thinning of the crust and cooling of the warm mantle material underneath the graben basin may become dominant causing the basin floor to subside slowly. Four rapid paleolake regressions indicate that four episodic tectonic movements took place in the graben basin during the mid to late Quatemary. 展开更多
