Determination of Critical Influencing Factor on pH Stability of Yuxingcao Injection

The change of drug quality of Yuxingcao injection after formulation is considered as one of the causes for adverse reactions. In this study, orthogonal experimental design was used to investigate the influencing factors on the pH stability of Yuxingcao injection. Two methods of accelerated tests were carried out in the experiments. The results showed that using Tween 80 as the solubilizer could significantly decrease the pH value of Yuxingcao injection after accelerated tests. There was no significant difference in the pH value after the accelerated tests when the other 6 factors varied, including the type of liquid processed, the dosage of activated carbon, heating temperature, reagents for pH adjustment, pH value range after adjustment, and sterilization conditions. In order to improve the quality stability of Yuxingcao injection, the quality of Tween 80 should be strictly controlled to minimize the change of pH value of Yuxingcao injection. 展开更多

Continuous manufacturing is considered as one of the future trends of pharmaceutical engineering. In this work, continuous liquid-liquid extraction for sinomenine purification was realized with the usage of centrifugal extractors. Chloroform was used as the extractant because of the high distribution coefficient (>100). Higher extraction ratio can be obtained when using the centrifugal extractor of Model CWL50-N. The extraction ratio of the second-stage extraction was higher than that of the first-stage extraction. The extraction ratio of the second-stage countercurrent extraction was higher than that of second-stage cross-flow extraction. When chloroform phase was recycled for liquid-liquid extraction, the extraction ratio was also higher than 95%. This work can also be an example of continuous liquid-liquid extraction for the separation of other Chinese medicine components. 展开更多

The Tashisayi nephrite deposit is located in South Altyn Tagh.in Qiemo County,Xinjiang Province,northwest China.It is a recent discovery in the vast,well-known Kunlun-Altyn nephrite belt distributed along the south of the Tarim Basin,producing more than half of the nephrite from the whole belt in 2017.Field investigations revealed that it is a dolomitic marble-related(D-type)nephrite deposit,but little is known about its age of formation and relationships between the granites and marble.Here we report field investigations,petrography of the neph rite,as well as petrography,geochemistry,geochronology of the zoisite-quartz altered intrusive rock and adjacent granites.An A-type granite is identified with a SHRIMP U-Pb zircon age of 926±7 Ma,suggesting it was emplaced in an extensional tectonic environment at that time.The altered intrusive rock has a cluster of U-Pb zircon age of 433±10 Ma.with similar trace element features to the A-type granite,suggesting it was formed in an extensional regime at this later time.Nephrite formed because of the metasomatism of dolomite marble by hydrothermal fluids.It is inferred that Ca^2+was released from the dolomitic marble by metasomatism forming Ca-rich fluids,which caused alteration of both the intrusive rocks(6.00-8.22 wt.%CaO)and granite(1.76-3.68 wt.%CaO)near the nephrite ore bodies.It is also inferred that Fe^2+from the granite migrated towards the dolomite marble.The fluids gave rise to the formation of Ca-minerals.such as zoisite,in the nephrite and altered intrusive rock,and epidote in the granite.Based on the contact relationships.similarity in hydrothermal processes,and consumption of Ca^2+,the Tashisayi nephrite is considered to have formed at the same time as the alteration of the intrusive rocks,i.e.~433 Ma.The geochronological similarity(~926 Ma.433 Ma)of South Altyn and North Qaidam may suggest that tectonically they belong to one single complex in the past,which was offset by the Altyn Tagh fault(ATF).The similar formation ages of the nephrites from Altyn Tagh(433 Ma)and the previously studied areas of West Kunlun(378-441 Ma)and East Kunlun(416 Ma)indicate that these nephrites formed during the closure of Proto-Tethys and in the accompanving post-collisional.extensional environment. 展开更多

A long-term simulation for the period 1990–2010 is conducted with the latest version of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics' Regional Climate Model(RegCM4), driven by ERA-Interim boundary conditions at a grid spacing of 25 km. The Community Land Model(CLM) is used to describe land surface processes, with updates in the surface parameters,including the land cover and surface emissivity. The simulation is compared against observations to evaluate the model performance in reproducing the present day climatology and interannual variability over the 10 main river basins in China,with focus on surface air temperature and precipitation. Temperature and precipitation from the ERA-Interim reanalysis are also considered in the model assessment. Results show that the model reproduces the present day climatology over China and its main river basins, with better performances in June–July–August compared to December–January–February(DJF).In DJF, we find a warm bias at high latitudes, underestimated precipitation in the south, and overestimated precipitation in the north. The model in general captures the observed interannual variability, with greater skill for temperature. We also find an underestimation of heavy precipitation events in eastern China, and an underestimation of consecutive dry days in northern China and the Tibetan Plateau. Similar biases for both mean climatology and extremes are found in the ERA-Interim reanalysis, indicating the difficulties for climate models in simulating extreme monsoon climate events over East Asia. 展开更多

Saline wastewater is regarded as a challenge for wastewater treatment plants because high-salinity conditions negatively affect on traditional biological technologies.Aerobic granular sludge(AGS)has gained attention as a promising technology for saline wastewater treatment because of its compact structure and the ability to withstand toxic loadings.Therefore,this study investigated the saltresistance performance,sludge properties and microbial community of AGS under low-salinity and high-salinity conditions,with the saline concentrations ranging from 0 to 50 g/L.The results showed that AGS could withstand long-term saline stresses,and the maximum salinity reached 50 g/L within 113 d.Under salinities of 10,30,and 50 g/L,the chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal efficiencies were 90.3%,88.0%and 78.0%,respectively.AGS also its maintained strength and aggregation at salinities of 10 and 30 g/L.Overproduction of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)by non-halophilic bacteria that enhanced sludge aggregation.The compact structure that ensured the microorganisms bioactivity helped to remove organic matters under salinities of 10 and 30 g/L.At a salinity of 50 g/L,moderately halophilic bacteria,including Salinicola,Thioclava,Idiomarina and Albirhodobacter,prevailed in the reactor.The dominant microbial communities shifted to moderately halophilic bacteria,which could maintain aerobic granular stabilization and remove organic matters under 50 g/L salinity.These results in this study provide a further explanation for the long-term operation of AGS for treating saline wastewater at different salinities.It is hoped that this work could bring some clues for the mystery of salt-resistance mechanisms. 展开更多

While a popular representation of 3D data,point clouds may contain noise and need filtering before use.Existing point cloud filtering methods either cannot preserve sharp features or result in uneven point distributions in the filtered output.To address this problem,this paper introduces a point cloud filtering method that considers both point distribution and feature preservation during filtering.The key idea is to incorporate a repulsion term with a data term in energy minimization.The repulsion term is responsible for the point distribution,while the data term aims to approximate the noisy surfaces while preserving geometric features.This method is capable of handling models with fine-scale features and sharp features.Extensive experiments show that our method quickly yields good results with relatively uniform point distribution. 展开更多

In this study,we introduced the bovine immunoglobulinμheavy-chain gene(the orphaned gene on BTA11)into mouse germline cells.Bovine IgM was highly expressed in selected transgenic lines,and it largely inhibited rearrangements of the endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain(IgH)genes in these lines.The forced expression of bovine IgM resulted in reduced numbers of pro-and pre-B cells but increased the number of immature B cells in the transgenic mice.Bovine IgM-expressing B cells can migrate from the bone marrow to the spleen,but most of the cells are arrested at the T1 transitional B cell stage,leading to a significantly lower number of T2 transitional and mature B cells in the spleen.Although the serum concentrations of endogenous IgM and IgG in the transgenic mice were significantly decreased,the IgA levels were slightly increased compared to the WT mice.The bovine IgM level in the serum was only one-tenth to one-fifth of that of endogenous mouse IgM,suggesting that most of the serum immunoglobulin were contributed by endogenous IgH gene-expressing B cells.These transgenic mice also exhibited a lower frequency of unique complementarity determining region 3(CDR3)sequences in their VH repertoire and Vκrepertoire but exhibited an increased frequency of unique CDR3 in their Vλrepertoire.Compared to the WT mice,the transgenic mice had a significantly higher percentage of mouse IgMexpressing B cells that expressedλchains.Finally,we showed that the transgenic mice were deficient in a specific antibody response to antigen stimulation. 展开更多
