BACKGROUND Radical surgery is a preferred treatment for colorectal carcinoma,wherein nursing intervention is essential for postoperative recovery and prevention of complications.Recently,the application of humanistic ...BACKGROUND Radical surgery is a preferred treatment for colorectal carcinoma,wherein nursing intervention is essential for postoperative recovery and prevention of complications.Recently,the application of humanistic care in medical care has attracted attention.Humanistic care emphasizes comprehensive care,with importance attached to patients’physical needs as well as psychological and emotional support to provide more humane and personalized care services.However,no clinical reports have examined the use of humanistic care in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma.AIM To investigate the influence of humanistic care-based operating room nursing on the safety,postoperative recovery,and nursing satisfaction of patients who have undergone radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma.METHODS In total,120 patients with rectal cancer who underwent surgery in Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University between August 2023 and March 2024 were selected and grouped based on the nursing methods employed.Of these patients,55 were treated with routine nursing intervention(control group)and 65 were provided humanistic care-based operating room nursing(research group).The patients’vital signs were recorded,including systolic/diastolic blood pressure(SBP/DBP)and heart beats per minute(BPM),as well as serum stress indices,including norepinephrine(NE),adrenal hormone(AD),and cortisol(Cor).Postoperative recovery and complications were also recorded.Patients’negative emotions,life hope,and nursing satisfaction were evaluated using the Self-rating Depression/Anxiety Scale(SDS/SAS),Herth Hope Index(HHI),and self-deve-loped nursing satisfaction questionnaire,respectively.RESULTS During emergence from anesthesia,SBP,DBP,and BPM levels were found to be lower in the research group than those in the control group,also serum Cor,AD,and NE levels were lower.In addition,the research group had shorter operative,awakening,anal exhaust,first postoperative ambulation,drainage tube removal,intestinal recovery,and hospital times.The total complication rate and the SDS and SAS scores were lower in the research group than those in the control group.The HHI and nursing satisfaction scores were higher in the research group.CONCLUSION Humanistic care-based operating room nursing can mitigate physiological stress responses,reduce postoperative complications,promote postoperative recovery,relieve adverse psychological emotions,and enhance life hope and nursing satisfaction in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma,which can be popularized in clinical practice.展开更多

Methods:48 cases of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at progressive stage treated in our hospital were selected as the progression group, and 50 cases of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at remission stage were selected as the remission group. Meanwhile, 48 cases of healthy population in our hospital were selected as the control group. Variations and significances of T lymphocyte subsets (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ and CD4+/CD8+), inflammatory factors [interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-10 (IL-10), interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)] and coagulation function [Fg (fibrinogen), TT (thrombin time), PLT (platelet) and D-D (D-dimer)] were analyzed.Results: Coagulation function (Fg, TT, PLT and D-D), T lymphocyte subsets CD8+ and inflammatory factors (IL-2, IL-10 and TNF-α) in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in progression group were significantly higher than in healthy population of control group (P<0.05). SiC ceramics are attractive electromagnetic(EM)absorption materials for the application in harsh environment because of their low density,good dielectric tunable performance,and chemical stability.However,the performa...SiC ceramics are attractive electromagnetic(EM)absorption materials for the application in harsh environment because of their low density,good dielectric tunable performance,and chemical stability.However,the performance of current SiC-based materials to absorb EM wave is generally unsatisfactory due to poor impedance matching.Herein,we report ultralight SiC/Si3N4 composite aerogels(~15 mg·cm^(−3))consisting of numerous interweaving SiC nanowires and Si3N4 nanoribbons.Aerogels were prepared via siloxane pyrolysis and chemical vapor reaction through the template method.The optimal aerogel exhibits excellent EM wave absorption properties with a strong reflection loss(RL,−48.6 dB)and a wide effective absorption band(EAB,7.4 GHz)at a thickness of 2 mm,attributed to good impedance matching and multi attenuation mechanisms of waves within the unique network structure.In addition,the aerogel exhibits high thermal stability in air until 1000℃and excellent thermal insulation performance(0.030 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)).These superior performances make the SiC/Si_(3)N_(4) composite aerogel promising to become a new generation of absorption material served under extreme conditions.展开更多
With the development of aerospace technology,the Mach number of aircraft continues to increase,which puts forward higher performance requirements for high-temperature wave-transparent materials.Silicon nitrides have e...With the development of aerospace technology,the Mach number of aircraft continues to increase,which puts forward higher performance requirements for high-temperature wave-transparent materials.Silicon nitrides have excellent mechanical properties,high-temperature stability,and oxidation resistance,but their brittleness and high dielectric constant impede their practical applications.Herein,by employing a template-assisted precursor pyrolysis method,we prepared a class of Si_(3)N_(4)@SiO_(2)nanowire aerogels(Si_(3)N_(4)@SiO_(2)NWAGs)that are assembled by Si_(3)N_(4)@SiO_(2)nanowires with diameters ranging from 386 to 631 nm.Si_(3)N_(4)@SiO_(2)NWAGs have low density of 12–31 mg∙cm^(−3),specific surface area of 4.13 m^(2)∙g^(−1),and average pore size of 68.9μm.Mechanical properties characterization shows that the aerogels exhibit reversible compressibility from 60%compressive strain and good fatigue resistance even when being compressed 100 times at set strain of 20%.The aerogels also show good thermal insulation performance(0.032 W·m^(−1)∙K^(−1) at room temperature),ablation resistance(butane blow torch),and high-temperature stability(maximum service temperature in air over 1200℃).The dielectric constant and loss of the aerogels are 1.02–1.06 and 4.3×10^(−5)–1.4×10^(−3) at room temperature,respectively.The combination of good mechanical,thermal,and dielectric properties makes Si_(3)N_(4)@SiO_(2)NWAGs promising ultralight wave-transparent and thermally insulating materials for applications at high temperatures.展开更多
Pragmatics has grown into a flourishing independent academic discipline.Undefined and unsolved are,nevertheless,such confusing and controversial concerns in its evolution as research boundaries and uncertain definitio...Pragmatics has grown into a flourishing independent academic discipline.Undefined and unsolved are,nevertheless,such confusing and controversial concerns in its evolution as research boundaries and uncertain definition.Some academics view Austin's Speech Act Theory to be the birth of pragmatics,which certainly confines pragmatics to the field of linguistics and hence limits its study scope.This assertion is incongruous with Morris'primary objective of proposing the word pragmatics from the standpoint of semiotics,inspired by Peirce.This research intends to investigate pragmatics from the perspective of linguistic philosophy and semiotics and argues that pragmatics derives and develops from Peirce's pragmatist semiotics and Morris'behavioral semiotics.Pragmatics is the exertion of the"interpretant"in Pierce's Semiotics.Clearly,it is one of the three branches of Morris's semiotics that investigates the relationship between signs and sign users.The meaning of signs is derived from the interpretation of sign users.Pierce's pragmatism or pragmaticism is the intellectual foundation of pragmatics.As its research objective,it focuses on the relationship between meaning and context,i.e.,the llocutionary meaning not covered by the study of semantics.Its primary methodology is based on logical reasoning.展开更多

Materials with ultralow thermal conductivity and good thermal stability are of great interest in numerous applications such as energy storage and conversion devices,and thermal insulation components.In this work,a fam...Materials with ultralow thermal conductivity and good thermal stability are of great interest in numerous applications such as energy storage and conversion devices,and thermal insulation components.In this work,a family of high-entropy Sm_(2)B_(2)O_(7)(B=Ti,Zr,Sn,Hf,Y,Yb,Nb,and Ta) oxides with highly disordered cations on the B-site has been synthesized by introducing large atomic-size mismatch,mass and charge disorder.Through tuning the composition,the high-entropy Sm_(2)B_(2)O_(7) oxides can be engineered from pyrochlore to fluorite structure,accompanied with an order-disorder transition.The pyrochlore Sm_(2)(Nb_(0.2)Sn_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Zr_(0.2))_(2)O_(7) and fluorite Sm_(2)(Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Zr_(0.2))_(2)O_(7) exhibit low thermal conductivities of 1.35 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1) and 1.23 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1),respectively,indicating their good thermal insulation.In addition,the high-entropy fluorite Sm_(2)(Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Zr_(0.2))_(2)O_(7) also shows average thermal expansion coefficient of 10.2 × 10^(-6)℃^(-1) and high-temperature stability even after thermal exposure at 1600 °C in air for 30 h.These results indicate that the high-entropy Sm_(2)B_(2)O_(7)(B=Ti,Zr,Sn,Hf,Y,Yb,Nb,and Ta) can be promising candidates for thermal barrier coatings and thermally insulators.展开更多
