Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a subtype of maxillary sinusitis (MS). It is actually inflammation of the maxillary sinus that secondary to adjacent infectious maxillary dental lesion. Due to the lack of uniq... Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a subtype of maxillary sinusitis (MS). It is actually inflammation of the maxillary sinus that secondary to adjacent infectious maxillary dental lesion. Due to the lack of unique clinical features, OMS is difficult to distinguish from other types of rhinosinusitis. Besides, the characteristic infectious pathogeny of OMS makes it is resistant to conventional therapies of rhinosinusitis. Its current diagnosis and treatment are thus facing great difficulties. The multi-disciplinary cooperation between otolaryngologists and dentists is absolutely urgent to settle these questions and to acquire standardized diagnostic and treatment regimen for OMS. However, this disease has actually received little attention and has been underrepresented by relatively low publication volume and quality. Based on systematically reviewed literature and practical experiences of expert members, our consensus focuses on characteristics, symptoms, classification and diagnosis of OMS, and further put forward multidisciplinary treatment decisions for OMS, as well as the common treatment complications and relative managements. This consensus aims to increase attention to OMS, and optimize the clinical diagnosis and decision-making of OMS, which finally provides evidence-based options for OMS clinical management. 展开更多

Rapeseed(Brassica napus L.)is one of the main oil crops in the world,and increasing its yield is of great significance for ensuring the safety of edible oil.Presently,improving rapeseed plant architecture is an effect... Rapeseed(Brassica napus L.)is one of the main oil crops in the world,and increasing its yield is of great significance for ensuring the safety of edible oil.Presently,improving rapeseed plant architecture is an effective way to increase rapeseed yield with higher planting density.However,the regulatory mechanism of rapeseed plant architecture is poorly understood.In this study,a dwarf rapeseed mutant dwarf08(df08)is obtained by ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)-mutagenesis.The decrease in plant height of df08 is mainly caused by the reduction in main inflorescence length and first effective branch height and controlled by a single semi-dominant gene.The hybrid plants(F1)show a semi-dwarf phenotype.Through map-based cloning and transgenic assay,we confirm that the nonsynonymous single nucleotide variant(SNV)(C to T)in BnaC03.BIN2,which is homologous with Arabidopsis(Arabidopsis thaliana)BIN2,is responsible for the dwarfism of df08.BnaC03.BIN2 interacts with BnaBZR1/BES1 and involves in brassinosteroids(BRs)signal transduction.Proline to Leucine substitution in 284(P284L)enhances the protein stability of BnaC03.bin2-D,disrupts BRs signal transduction and affects the expression of genes regulating cell division,leading to dwarfism of df08.This study provides a new insight for the mechanism of rapeseed plant height regulation and creates an elite germplasm that can be used for genetic improvement of rapeseed architecture. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)has a high mortality rate,and robust diagnostic biomarkers are currently lacking.However,the clinical relevance of circular RNAs(circRNAs)as GC biomarkers remains largely unexplored.AIM To evaluate the potential of novel circRNA circ_0004592 in the early screening and prognosis of GC.METHODS High-throughput sequencing of circRNAs was performed to screen for potential target molecules.Circ_0004592 expression was examined in GC tissues,cells,and plasma.Plasma samples were collected from healthy subjects’patients,as well as from patients with benign lesions,precancerous lesions,and GC,whereafter the diagnostic accuracy of circ_0004592 was evaluated.The correlation between circ_0004592 levels in plasma and clinicopathological data of patients with GC was further analyzed.RESULTS Circ_0004592 was upregulated in both the tissue and plasma of patients with GC.Further,circ_0004592 expression was higher in patients with precancerous lesions than in healthy controls while being highest in patients with GC.In the same patient,the postoperative plasma level of circ_0004592 was lower than that in the preoperative period.Moreover,circ_0004592 level was significantly correlated with tumor differentiation,tumor depth,and lymph node metastasis.The area under the curve(AUC)of plasma circ_0004592 exhibited high sensitivity and specificity for differentiating patients with GC from healthy donors.Diagnosis based on circ_0004592,carcinoembryonic antigen,and cancer antigen 199 achieved a superior AUC and was highly sensitive.CONCLUSION Plasma circ_0004592 may represent a potential non-invasive auxiliary diagnostic biomarker for patients with GC. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)is a new type of extracorporeal respiratory and circulatory assistance device.It can drain venous blood out of the body and inject it into veins or arteries after being oxygenated by an oxygenator(membrane lung)to replace lung and heart functions in a short time.ECMO can provide tissue blood perfusion and gas exchange almost equivalent to cardiac output and extend the effective treatment time window for patients with acute circulatory failure to restore cardiopulmonary function.CASE SUMMARY We report a case of an 81-year-old woman who underwent whole cerebral angiography,basilar artery thrombectomy and stent thrombectomy in the posterior artery of the left brain after implantation of ECMO.The patient was admitted to the hospital due to myocardial infarction.Considering that the cause of the patient’s disturbance of consciousness was unknown and cerebrovascular accident could not be ruled out after the implantation of ECMO,the department of Radioactive Intervention performed cerebral angiography.And the result of the angiography indicated vascular occlusion.After the basilar artery thrombectomy and stent thrombectomy in the posterior artery of the left brain,the patency of the occlusive vessel was achieved.CONCLUSION Although the patient eventually died of circulatory failure,the result of this case verifies the feasibility of cerebral angiography and thrombectomy in patients with implanted ECMO in the intubated state. 展开更多

近年来,肿瘤发病率不断攀升,化疗是目前临床治疗肿瘤的主要策略,但因多数化疗药物毒副作用大且容易造成化学耐药性,导致化疗效果并不理想。而传统中药凭借其多途径、多靶点、多通路的特点在抗肿瘤方面具有治疗温和不剧烈、毒副作用小等... 近年来,肿瘤发病率不断攀升,化疗是目前临床治疗肿瘤的主要策略,但因多数化疗药物毒副作用大且容易造成化学耐药性,导致化疗效果并不理想。而传统中药凭借其多途径、多靶点、多通路的特点在抗肿瘤方面具有治疗温和不剧烈、毒副作用小等独特的优势。丹参酮IIA(Tanshinone IIA,TSA)作为丹参中提取的主要菲醌类衍生物,具有明显的抗肿瘤作用,具备被开发为毒性小、疗效好的新型抗肿瘤药物的条件,但因其难溶于水、半衰期短、生物利用度低等缺点极大程度上限制了其临床应用。利用纳米技术,可以改善丹参酮IIA的不足;构建中药纳米递药系统可以提高肿瘤组织靶向性来改善半衰期短、稳定性差等实际临床应用中的问题。本文主要综述丹参酮IIA的抗肿瘤机理及其纳米递药系统的研究进展,以期为丹参酮IIA的深入研究和临床应用提供参考。 展开更多

AIM:To evaluate the correlation between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) and microvascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:Data were obtained from 1217 inpatients with T2DM(757 females,460 males;aged 63.39 ± 12.28 years).NAFLD was diagnosed by hepatic ultrasonography.Diabetic nephropathy(DN),diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN),and diabetic retinopathy(DR) were diagnosed according to their respective criteria.The prevalence of NAFLD and the independent correlations of clinical characteristics with NAFLD were determined by cross-tabulation and logistic regression,respectively.RESULTS:Approximately 61% of inpatients with T2DM in Qingdao,China had NAFLD,which decreased significantly with increase in age and prolonged course of diabetes.The prevalence of NAFLD in patients presenting with DN,DPN and DR was 49.4%,57.2% and 54.9%,respectively.These rates were significantly lower than those of patients without DN,DPN and DR(65.9%,65.6% and 66.1%,respectively,P < 0.05).Participants with NAFLD had greater body weight,waist circumference(WC),body mass index(BMI),fasting blood glucose(FBG),hemoglobin A1c,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,γ-glutamyltransferase,blood pressure,as well as triglyceride(TG) levels and lower high-density lipoprotein(HDL) concentration than those without NAFLD(P < 0.05).NAFLD was positively correlated with BMI,WC,TG,FBG,diastolic blood pressure,and systolic blood pressure but negatively correlated with the duration of diabetes,DR,DPN,DN,and HDL.CONCLUSION:Despite the benign nature of NAFLD,efforts should be directed toward early diagnosis,intensive blood glucose and blood pressure control,and effective dyslipidemia correction. 展开更多

目的:考察季德胜蛇药片对蛇咬伤患者创口局部和全身炎症反应的影响及其机制。方法:将2018年6月-2020年6月我院收治的蛇咬伤患者64例按照随机数字表法分为对照组和观察组各32例。两组患者均行常规清创、引流、冲洗、封闭以及抗毒、抗感... 目的:考察季德胜蛇药片对蛇咬伤患者创口局部和全身炎症反应的影响及其机制。方法:将2018年6月-2020年6月我院收治的蛇咬伤患者64例按照随机数字表法分为对照组和观察组各32例。两组患者均行常规清创、引流、冲洗、封闭以及抗毒、抗感染、抗纤溶和抗休克治疗,观察组患者在此基础上辅以季德胜蛇药片内服加外用,连续7d。比较两组患者的全身炎症反应相关指标、创口局部症状、住院时间、重要脏器的实验室指标、凝血功能指标、创口炎性细胞计数和血清中炎性细胞因子、趋化因子水平,以及不良反应发生情况。结果:治疗后,两组患者的全身炎症反应相关指标(呼吸频率、心率、白细胞计数)、创口局部症状(局部疼痛消失时间、创口消肿时间)、住院时间、重要脏器的实验室指标(天冬氨酸转氨酶、丙氨酸转氨酶、血肌酐、血尿素氮、肌酸激酶、肌酸激酶同工酶)、凝血功能指标(组织型纤溶酶原激活物、纤溶酶原激活抑制物1、凝血酶-抗凝血酶复合物、可溶性纤维蛋白单体复合物)、创口炎性细胞(巨噬细胞、中性粒细胞、淋巴细胞)计数和血清中炎性细胞因子[肿瘤坏死因子α、白细胞介素1、白细胞介素6、超敏C反应蛋白(hs-CRP)、核转录因子κB(NF-κB)]、趋化因子[单核细胞趋化蛋白1(MCP-1)、趋化因子配体8(CXCL-8)]水平大多显著优于治疗前(P<0.05),且观察组大多数指标显著优于对照组(P<0.05)。两组患者均未见严重不良反应发生。结论:季德胜蛇药片辅助治疗蛇咬伤可显著减轻患者创口局部和全身炎症反应症状,其机制可能与降低血清趋化因子MCP-1、CXCL-8和炎性细胞因子hs-CRP、NF-κB的水平相关。 展开更多

Inferring gene regulatory networks from large-scale expression data is an important topic in both cellular systems and computational biology. The inference of regulators might be the core factor for understanding actual regulatory conditions in gene regulatory networks, especially when strong regulators do work significantly. In this paper, we propose a novel approach based on combining neuro-fu^zy network models with biological knowledge to infer strong regulators and interrelated fuzzy rules. The hybrid neuro-fuzzy architecture can not only infer the fuzzy rules, which are suitable for describing the regulatory conditions in regulatory nctworks+ but also explain the meaning of nodes and weight value in the neural network. It can get useful rules automatically without lhctitious judgments. At the same time, it does not add recursive layers to the model, and the model can also strengthen the relationships among genes and reduce calculation. We use the proposed approach to reconstruct a partial gene regulatory network of yeast, The results show that this approach can work effectively. 展开更多

SMAX1-LIKE(SMXL) family members have played important roles in regulating plant growth and development in Arabidopsis and rice, but few have been studied in Brassica napus(rapeseed). In this study, 31 SMXL genes(BnaSM... SMAX1-LIKE(SMXL) family members have played important roles in regulating plant growth and development in Arabidopsis and rice, but few have been studied in Brassica napus(rapeseed). In this study, 31 SMXL genes(BnaSMXL) were identified in rapeseed by whole genome bioinformatics. Detailed information were characterized, including genomic distribution, phylogenetic relationship, evolutionary selection pattern, structural and motif features. Phylogenetic analysis classified BnaSMXL genes into 4 distinct sub-clades representing clear orthologous relationships to their family members in Arabidopsis and rice. Conserved motif analysis indicated that the motif 16 mediating strigolactones(SLs) or karrikins(KARs) signaling was absent in SMXL3-5 genes. Orthologous gene pairs between Arabidopsis and 3 Brassica species were extracted, and 8 SMXL genes in Arabidopsis genome had 16, 16 and 31 corresponding genes in B. oleracea, B. rapa and rapeseed genomes respectively. Evolutionary selection pattern showed that most of SMXL genes had undergone stronger negative selection. BnaSMXLs expression showed diverse patterns in 10 tissues of both vegetative and reproductive organs. Subcellular localization analysis showed that BnaSMXL proteins were exclusively localized in nucleus. 展开更多

They all received PKRP surgery and terazosin medication from one week before to 3 months after the operation. Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-mediated DNA transformation for transient gene expression in protoplasts and Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation in lower epidermis of leaves are readily available in several plant species. In the study, these two versatile tools were used in rapeseed. A simple and efficient method was established for isolating protoplasts from rapeseed cotyledons and leaves, and found that cotyledons might be better than true leaves. Transient expression analysis showed that yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) and luciferase (LUC) could be expressed in rapeseed protoplasts. Moreover,GUS histochemical assays indicated that Agrobacterium-mediated DNA transient expression was achievable only in lower epidermis of rapeseed cotyledons and expression signal was the highest on the 5th day after injection with the bacterial suspension (OD600=0.8).These methods might provide valuable tools for rapid functional gene analysis in rapeseed. 展开更多

The important agronomic traits of seed size and seed oil content in oilseed rape were af-fected by maternal effect. The maternal tissue endosperm, generated by fertilization of the diploid central cell in the female gametophyte, is essential for embryo and seed development. Imprinting is primarily re-stricted to the endosperm of flowering plants and is associated with differential DNA methylation of paren-tal alleles. Therefore, it is necessary to find out whether the endosperm influences these traits. If so, whether DNA methylation participated in these processes? To answer these questions, isolation of pure liquid endosperm qualified for extraction genomic DNA and RNA was the prerequisite. However, it was not easy to conduct this isolation due to endosperm is encapsulated by tiny seed coat and it adjoins to de-veloping embryo. This research adopted a procedure for isolation pure lipid endosperm from 25DAF (days after flowering) ovules of Brassica napus and improved procedure for subsequent DNA extraction. With the optimized procedures, we successfully extracted genomic DNA of liquid endosperm from 500 mg o-vules with high concentration ( ≥2. 5μg/μl, 200μl) and high purity, which were proved by the subse-quent analysis. 展开更多

在回归分析中,当因变量存在双侧截断时,已有的统计方法会使得回归模型的系数估计与变量选择产生偏差.本文提出一种适用于双侧截断回归模型的系数估计与变量选择方法,且该方法允许回归模型中自变量的个数随着样本量增大并趋于无穷而趋于... 在回归分析中,当因变量存在双侧截断时,已有的统计方法会使得回归模型的系数估计与变量选择产生偏差.本文提出一种适用于双侧截断回归模型的系数估计与变量选择方法,且该方法允许回归模型中自变量的个数随着样本量增大并趋于无穷而趋于无穷.该方法的主要思想是,提出一种Mann-Whitney型的损失函数来进行纠偏,随后加入自适应最小绝对收缩和选择算子(least absolute shrinkage and selection operator,LASSO)惩罚项来进行变量选择.本文同时设计一种迭代算法来实现损失函数的优化;且证明了所提出估计量的相合性与渐近正态性,还给出所提出变量选择方法的神谕性(oracle property).本文通过随机模拟展示所提出方法在有限样本量下的表现,并使用所提出方法分析一个天文学领域的实际数据集. 展开更多
