Fabrication of a flexible microwave absorber sheet based on a composite filler with fly ash as the core filled silicone rubber

A new type of composite filler was designed by a modified sol-gel method using fly ash(FA),Fe(NO_(3))_(3)·9H_(2)O,and Ni(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O as raw materials.The composite filler was a spherical core-shell structure composed of FA as the core and NiFe_(2)O_(4)as the shell.Further,the composite filler was added into the silicone rubber to fabricate the high temperature vulcanized microwave absorption materials;X-ray diffraction,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and scanning electron microscope confirmed that NiFe_(2)O_(4)was successfully coated on the surface of FA and formed a uniform and continuous coating layer.As expected,silicone rubber filled with the composite filler had a minimum reflection loss of-23.8 dB at 17.5 GHz with the thickness of 1.8 mm,while the effective absorption bandwidth was as high as 12 GHz.The addition of the composite filler greatly enhanced the microwave absorption properties of the system,which was resulted from multiple losses mechanism:interface polarization losses,magnetic losses,and multiple reflection losses.Also,silicone rubber filled with the composite filler exhibited excellent thermal stability,flexibility,environmental resistance,and hydrophobicity compared with traditional silicone rubber.Therefore,this work not only responds to the green chemistry to achieve efficient FA recovery,but also devises a new strategy to prepare microwave absorption materials with strong potential for civilian applications. 展开更多

To establish an efficient regeneration method for the rare and endangered plant Mussaenda anomala to address problems regarding its reproductive obstacles and scarce populations.In this study,the terminal buds,axillary buds,stem segments with two axillary buds,stem segments with two axillary buds and one terminal bud,and leaves of M.anomala were used as explants.The effects of different explants and disinfection methods,plant growth regulators and substrates on plant regeneration were explored.The following results were obtained:(1)The terminal bud was a suitable explant for M.anomala tissue culture,and the disinfection method utilized was treatment with 0.2%HgCl2 for 8 min.(2)Initiate medium:MS basic medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/L 6-BA and 0.2 mg/L IBA for the high germination rate(100%)and the maximum bud height(1.70 cm)of the terminal bud.(3)Proliferation medium:MS basic medium supplemented with 3.0 mg/L 6-BA and 0.2 mg/L IBA for a high proliferation rate(96%)and proliferation time(6.0)of terminal buds.(4)Proliferation medium supplemented with 0.7 mg/L GA3 significantly increased the bud heights of multiple buds.(5)Rooting medium:MS basic medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/L IBA and 0.5 mg/L IAA for a high rooting rate(88%),root number(12.0)and root length(5.07 cm).(6)The optimal substrate for seedling acclimation and transplanting was perlite:vermiculite(1:1),which resulted in the highest survival rate(97%)and plant height(5.89 cm),as well as better growth potential for seedlings.The surfaces of M.anomala explants are densely covered with trichome,which increased the difficulty of disinfection;the plant growth regulators directly affected the growth and development in the regeneration process of M.anomala,and the substrate significantly affected the survival rate and height growth for seedling acclimation. 展开更多

Testing-effort(TE) and imperfect debugging(ID) in the reliability modeling process may further improve the fitting and prediction results of software reliability growth models(SRGMs). For describing the S-shaped varying trend of TE increasing rate more accurately, first, two S-shaped testing-effort functions(TEFs), i.e.,delayed S-shaped TEF(DS-TEF) and inflected S-shaped TEF(IS-TEF), are proposed. Then these two TEFs are incorporated into various types(exponential-type, delayed S-shaped and inflected S-shaped) of non-homogeneous Poisson process(NHPP)SRGMs with two forms of ID respectively for obtaining a series of new NHPP SRGMs which consider S-shaped TEFs as well as ID. Finally these new SRGMs and several comparison NHPP SRGMs are applied into four real failure data-sets respectively for investigating the fitting and prediction power of these new SRGMs.The experimental results show that:(i) the proposed IS-TEF is more suitable and flexible for describing the consumption of TE than the previous TEFs;(ii) incorporating TEFs into the inflected S-shaped NHPP SRGM may be more effective and appropriate compared with the exponential-type and the delayed S-shaped NHPP SRGMs;(iii) the inflected S-shaped NHPP SRGM considering both IS-TEF and ID yields the most accurate fitting and prediction results than the other comparison NHPP SRGMs. 展开更多

In this paper,a delayed mosquito population suppression model,where the number of sexually active sterile mosquitoes released is regarded as a given nonnegative function,and the birth process is density dependent by considering larvae progression and the intra-specific competition within the larvae,is developed and studied.A threshold value r^(*)for the releases of sterile mosquitoes is determined,and it is proved that the origin is globally asymptotically stable if the number of sterile mosquitoes released is above the threshold value r^(*).Besides,the case when the number of sterile mosquitoes released stays at a constant level r is also considered.In the special case,it is also proved that the origin is globally asymptotically stable if and only if r>r^(*)and that the model exhibits other complicated dynamics such as bi-stability and semi-stability when r≤r^(*).Numerical examples are also provided to illustrate our main theoretical results. 展开更多

Production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)via the activity of respiratory burst oxidase homologs(RBOHs)plays a vital role in multiple layers of the plant immune system,including pathogen-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity(PTI),damage-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity(DTI),effector-triggered immunity(ETI),and systemic acquired resistance(SAR).It is generally established that RBOHD is activated by different receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases(RLCKs)in response to various immune elicitors.In this study,we showed that RPM1-INDUCED PROTEIN KINASE(RIPK),an RLCK VII subfamily member,contributes to ROS production in multiple layers of plant immune system.The ripk mutants showed reduced ROS production in response to treatment with all examined immune elicitors that trigger PTI,DTI,ETI,and SAR.We found that RIPK can directly phosphorylate the N-terminal region of RBOHD in vitro,and the levels of phosphorylated S343/S347 residues of RBOHD are sigfniciantly lower in ripk mutants compared with the wild type upon treatment with all tested immune elicitors.We further demonstrated that phosphorylation of RIPK is required for its function in regulating RBOHD-mediated ROS production.Similar to rbohd,ripk mutants showed reduced stomatal closure and impaired SAR,and were susceptible to the necrotrophic bacterium Pectobacterium carotovorum.Collectively,our results indicate that RIPK regulates broad-spectrum RBOHD-mediated ROS signaling during PTI,DTI,ETI,and SAR,leading to subsequent RBOHD-dependent immune responses. 展开更多

Graphene has presented promising features for application in lithium ion batteries(LIBs)due to its superior electronic conductivity and high surface area.It has been successfully used for modifying cathode materials to meet the increasing demand for LIBs with longer cycle life.However,the improving effect of graphene on cycling stability is still unclear,which restricts its further application in LIBs.Herein,graphene coated hollow sphere-like structure LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4(LNMO)wasdesigned and the improvement mechanism of graphene coating on LNMO’s cycling stability was investigated.The results show that graphene coating not only contributes to suppress structural deformation from mechanistic reaction and extend solid-solution reaction,but also helps protect electrode from corrosion by the products from electrolyte decomposition and suppress the generation of surface defects,especially at high temperature.Owing to graphene coating,graphene coated LNMO can deliver a discharge capacity of 91 mAh g1 with high capacity retention of 82.5%after 1000 cycles under 20C and 83.8 mAh g1 with 94.5%capacity retention after 100 cycles under 2C at 55C.This work deeply explores the effect of graphene coating on cycling stability from crystal stability and surface stability,which will help a wider application of graphene in energy storage field. 展开更多

Room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)with a dynamic feature endows organic luminescent materials with promising application in optoelectronic fields.However,it remains a formidable challenge to obtain dynamic RTP materials.Herein,we reported a strategy for dynamic RTP via reversible transformation of radicals under external stimuli.RTP gradually disappeared with continuous UV-light irradiation owing to the conversion of NDIA to NDIA^(·-)in NDIA/PVA film,which can be recovered by oxidation with oxygen.Regarding the excellent reversibility and repeatability,the potential applications for round-the-clock anticounterfeiting and tag were first demonstrated.This finding not only outlines a principle to synthesize new RTP materials with dynamic behavior,but also expands the scope of applications of dynamic RTP materials. 展开更多

This novel theoretical framework could result in an optimal criterion on how to reduce the drug resistance to a reasonable range by using the antibiotic dressing strategy. The sufficient conditions of existence of order-1 periodic solution are obtained in view of the geometrical theory of the semi-continuous dynamical system and the qualitative properties of the corresp on ding continuous system. The stability of the order-1 periodic solution is proved by means of [H. J. Guo, L. S. Chen and X. Y. Song, Qualitative analysis of impulsive state feedback control to an algae-fish system with bistable property, Appl. Math. Comput. 271 (2015) 905-922]. We observed a rare case of invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) with a lepidic-predominant pattern accompanied by pulmonary tuberculosis. An 85-year-old man with repeated cough and sputum was admitted to Xinhua Hospital. T-SPOT test result was 212 pg/ml (reference value of negative is 〈 14 pg/ml), Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture was positive, and tuberculin skin test (PPD) was negative (skin induration 〈 5 mm). The patient was treated with several courses of antibiotics and anti-tuberculosis treatments. Repeated chest CT scans showed disease progression. Bronchoscopy yielded negative results. PET-CT scans showed negative results. A percutaneous lung biopsy revealed mucin-secreting cells lining the alveolar walls. IMA with a lepidic- predominant pattern was diagnosed after invasiveness was found after experimental treatments. Simultaneous occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis and lung cancer are common; however, the present case of IMA having a lepidic-predominant pattern and coexisting with active tuberculosis has not been reported yet. 展开更多
