[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the quality of frozen silver carp surimi products.[Methods]Huangzhou radish powder and silver carp surimi were used as raw materials to analyze the effects of different amounts(1%,2%,3%,4%,5%)of Huangzhou radish powder on the water-holding capacity,cooking loss rate,whiteness value,TPA,gel strength and sensory quality of surimi products.[Results]When the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%,water-holding capacity,hardness,chewiness and the gel strength of the surimi product reached their maximum values,which were 86.86%,3470.36 g,2628.50 g and 707.48 g·mm,respectively.Meanwhile,the cooking loss rate was reduced to a minimum value(13.66%),and the sensory quality reached the best.The whiteness of surimi products showed a decreasing trend with the increase of the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder.However,the whiteness of the surimi product was not significantly affected when the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%.Therefore,when the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%,the quality of surimi products could be improved.[Conclusions]This study provides a new idea for the development and utilization of Huangzhou radish. 展开更多

The overall photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(OPCRR)that can directly convert CO_(2) and H_(2)O into fuels represents a promising renewable energy conversion technology.As a typical redox reaction,the OPCRR involves two half-reactions:the CO_(2) reduction half-reaction(CRHR)and the water oxidation half-reaction(WOHR).Generally,both half-reactions can be promoted by adjusting the wettability of catalysts.However,there is a contradiction in wettability requirements for the two half-reactions.Specifically,CRHR prefers a hydrophobic surface that can accumulate more CO_(2) molecules on the active sites,ensuring the appropriate ratio of gas-phase(CO_(2))to liquid-phase(H_(2)O)reactants.Conversely,the WOHR prefers a hydrophilic surface that can promote the departure of the gaseous product(O_(2))from the catalyst surface,preventing isolation between active sites and the reactant(H_(2)O).Here,we successfully reconciled the contradictory wettability requirements for the CRHR and WOHR by creating an alternately hydrophobic catalyst.This was achieved through a selectively hydrophobic modification method and a charge-transfer-control strategy.Consequently,the collaboratively promoted CRHR and WOHR led to a significantly enhanced OPCRR with a solar-to-fuel conversion efficiency of 0.186%.Notably,in ethanol production,the catalyst exhibited a 10.64-fold increase in generation rate(271.44μmol g^(-1)h~(-1))and a 4-fold increase in selectivity(55.77%)compared to the benchmark catalyst.This innovative approach holds great potential for application in universal overall reactions involving gas participation. 展开更多

Transition metal sulfides have high theoretical capacities and are considered as potential anode materials for sodium-ion batteries.However,due to low inherent conductivity and significant volume expansion,the electrochemical performance is greatly limited.In this study,a nickel/manganese sulfide material(Ni_(0.96)S_(x)/MnS_(y)-NC)with adjustable sulfur vacancies and heterogeneous hollow spheres was prepared using a simple method.The introduction of a concentration-adjustable sulfur vacancy enables the generation of a heterogeneous interface between bimetallic sulfide and sulfur vacancies.This interface collectively creates an internal electric field,improving the mobility of electrons and ions,increasing the number of electrochemically active sites,and further optimizing the performance of Na~+storage.The direction of electron flow is confirmed by Density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The hollow nano-spherical material provides a buffer for expansion,facilitating rapid transfer kinetics.Our innovative discovery involves the interaction between the ether-based electrolyte and copper foil,leading to the formation of Cu_9S_5,which grafts the active material and copper current collector,reinforcing mechanical supporting.This results in a new heterostructure of Cu_9S_5 with Ni_(0.96)S_(x)/MnS_(y),contributing to the stabilization of structural integrity for long-cycle performance.Therefore,Ni_(0.96)S_(x)/MnS_(y)-NC exhibits excellent electrochemical properties following our modification route.Regarding stability performance,Ni0_(.96)S_(x)/MnS_(y)-NC demonstrates an average decay rate of 0.00944%after 10,000 cycles at an extremely high current density of 10000 mA g^(-1),A full cell with a high capacity of 304.2 mA h g^(-1)was also successfully assembled by using Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C as the cathode.This study explores a novel strategy for interface/vacancy co-modification in the fabrication of high-performance sodium-ion batteries electrode. 展开更多

The authors analyze a piezoelectric energy harvester as an electro-mechanically coupled system. The energy harvester consists of a piezoelectric bimorph with a concentrated mass attached at one end, called the harvesting structure, an electric circuit for energy storage, and a rectifier that converts the AC output of the harvesting structure into a DC input for the storage circuit. The piezoelectric bimorph is assumed to be driven into flexural vibration by an ambient acoustic source to convert the mechanical energies into electric energies. The analysis indicates that the performance of this harvester, measured by the power density, is characterized by three important non-dimensional parameters, i.e., the non-dimensional inductance of the storage circuit, the non-dimensional aspect ratio (length/thickness) and the non-dimensional end mass of the harvesting structure. The numerical results show that: (1) the power density can be optimized by varying the non-dimensional inductance for each fixed non-dimensional aspect ratio with a fixed non-dimensional end mass; and (2) for a fixed non-dimensional inductance, the power density is maximized if the non-dimensional aspect ratio and the non-dimensional end mass are so chosen that the harvesting structure, consisting of both the piezoelectric bimorph and the end mass attached, resonates at the frequency of the ambient acoustic source. 展开更多

Subsurface geothermal energy storage has greater potential than other energy storage strategies in terms of capacity scale and time duration.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))is regarded as a potential medium for energy storage due to its superior thermal properties.Moreover,the use of CO_(2)plumes for geothermal energy storage mitigates the greenhouse effect by storing CO_(2)in geological bodies.In this work,an integrated framework is proposed for synergistic geothermal energy storage and CO_(2)sequestration and utilization.Within this framework,CO_(2)is first injected into geothermal layers for energy accumulation.The resultant high-energy CO_(2)is then introduced into a target oil reservoir for CO_(2)utilization and geothermal energy storage.As a result,CO_(2)is sequestrated in the geological oil reservoir body.The results show that,as high-energy CO_(2)is injected,the average temperature of the whole target reservoir is greatly increased.With the assistance of geothermal energy,the geological utilization efficiency of CO_(2)is higher,resulting in a 10.1%increase in oil displacement efficiency.According to a storage-potential assessment of the simulated CO_(2)site,110 years after the CO_(2)injection,the utilization efficiency of the geological body will be as high as 91.2%,and the final injection quantity of the CO_(2)in the site will be as high as 9.529×10^(8)t.After 1000 years sequestration,the supercritical phase dominates in CO_(2)sequestration,followed by the liquid phase and then the mineralized phase.In addition,CO_(2)sequestration accounting for dissolution trapping increases significantly due to the presence of residual oil.More importantly,CO_(2)exhibits excellent performance in storing geothermal energy on a large scale;for example,the total energy stored in the studied geological body can provide the yearly energy supply for over 3.5×10^(7) normal households.Application of this integrated approach holds great significance for large-scale geothermal energy storage and the achievement of carbon neutrality. 展开更多

Although two-dimensional perovskite devices are highly stable,they also lead to a number of challenges.For instance,the introduction of large organic amines makes crystallization process complicated,causing problems such as generally small grain size and blocked charge transfer.In this work,imprint assisted with methylamine acetate were used to improve the morphology of the film,optimize the internal phase distribution,and enhance the charge transfer of the perovskite film.Specifically,imprint promoted the dispersion of spacer cations in the recrystallization process with the assistance of methylamine acetate,thus inhibited the formation of low-n phase induced by the aggregation of spacer cations and facilitated the formation of 3D-like phase.In this case,the corresponding quasi-2D perovskite solar cells delivered improved efficiency and exhibited superior stability.Our work provides an effective strategy to obtain uniform phase distribution for quasi-2D perovskite. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The literature has discussed the relationship between environmental factors and depressive disorders;however,the results are inconsistent in different studies and regions,as are the interaction effects between environmental factors.We hypo-thesized that meteorological factors and ambient air pollution individually affect and interact to affect depressive disorder morbidity.AIM To investigate the effects of meteorological factors and air pollution on depressive disorders,including their lagged effects and interactions.METHODS The samples were obtained from a class 3 hospital in Harbin,China.Daily hos-pital admission data for depressive disorders from January 1,2015 to December 31,2022 were obtained.Meteorological and air pollution data were also collected during the same period.Generalized additive models with quasi-Poisson regre-ssion were used for time-series modeling to measure the non-linear and delayed effects of environmental factors.We further incorporated each pair of environ-mental factors into a bivariate response surface model to examine the interaction effects on hospital admissions for depressive disorders.RESULTS Data for 2922 d were included in the study,with no missing values.The total number of depressive admissions was 83905.Medium to high correlations existed between environmental factors.Air temperature(AT)and wind speed(WS)significantly affected the number of admissions for depression.An extremely low temperature(-29.0℃)at lag 0 caused a 53%[relative risk(RR)=1.53,95%confidence interval(CI):1.23-1.89]increase in daily hospital admissions relative to the median temperature.Extremely low WSs(0.4 m/s)at lag 7 increased the number of admissions by 58%(RR=1.58,95%CI:1.07-2.31).In contrast,atmospheric pressure and relative humidity had smaller effects.Among the six air pollutants considered in the time-series model,nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))was the only pollutant that showed significant effects over non-cumulative,cumulative,immediate,and lagged conditions.The cumulative effect of NO_(2) at lag 7 was 0.47%(RR=1.0047,95%CI:1.0024-1.0071).Interaction effects were found between AT and the five air pollutants,atmospheric temperature and the four air pollutants,WS and sulfur dioxide.CONCLUSION Meteorological factors and the air pollutant NO_(2) affect daily hospital admissions for depressive disorders,and interactions exist between meteorological factors and ambient air pollution. 展开更多

Based on the vertical ozone reanalysis data and total ozone column data derived from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts,the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of ozone on each isobaric surface in the troposphere over the Northwest Pacific Ocean were analyzed,and the backward trajectory method was used to track the influence of typhoon on the distribution of ozone.The results show that the updraft near the typhoon center transported the air with low O_(3)content in the lower layer to the upper layer,which reduced O_(3)content in the upper layer and formed a low-value area of O_(3).The variation trend of total ozone column in the regions where typhoons"Megi"and"Fengshen"occurred was analyzed by the case analysis method.It is found that there was a low-value area of total ozone column anomaly near the typhoon center,and there was a certain correlation between typhoon intensity PDI and total ozone column anomaly at the development and maturity stages of typhoons. 展开更多

Tea polysaccharides(TPSs),one of the major bioactive ingredients in tea,have been widely studied due to their variety of biological activities,including antioxidant,cancer prevention,hypoglycemia,anti-fatigue,anti-coagulant,anti-obesity and immunomodulatory effect.The biological effectiveness of TPSs has direct relation with their structures such as monosaccharide composition,molecular weight,glycosidic linkages,conformation and others,which can be influenced by tea materials,processing methods,extraction and purification procedures among others.Comparing to the study of tea polyphenols,the exploration of TPSs in structural elucidation and biofunctionality is very preliminary.Yet several factors affecting the structural change of TPSs have been studied and identified.Consequently,the variation of some TPS biological activity brought by the change of TPS structures has been evaluated and preliminary correlation of structure activity relationship of TPSs has been performed.Therefore,this review aims to serve as a summary research report regarding the influencing factors on TPSs structures and consequential effects on the biological activities of TPSs.We hope to provide updated information and systematic references for future study and functional food development of TPSs. 展开更多

Objective To validate and use the Chinese Version of the M.D.Anderson Symptom Inventory(MDASI-C)to assess the symptom burden of breast cancer patients in China.Methods A total of 342 breast cancer patients in China participated in this study.Their symptoms were investigated with the MDASI-C from November 2020 to February 2021,and the reliability and validity of this tool were evaluated,respectively.Cluster analysis and correlation analysis were also performed.Results The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient values of the symptom and interference items were 0.827 and 0.880,respectively.Construct validity revealed a four-factor structure.The Kaiser—Meyer—Olkin value was 0.760.The Karnofsky Performance Status,treatment phase,and cancer stage of the patients were grouped,and the differences of scores within the groups were significant.In addition,the employment status,education level,and age of the patients were significantly correlated with the symptoms.The correlation analysis of the education level of the patients showed that most of the symptoms and interference items were reduced as the education level was increased.The top three symptoms were disturbed sleep(3.10±2.52),difficulty remembering(2.54±2.30),and fatigue(2.24±2.13).The clinical and biochemical indicators such as body mass index and neutral granulocyte lymphocyte ratio had effects on many symptoms.As the patients’BMI increased,the patients’pain,disturbed sleep,and difficulty remembering were aggravated,and numbness was alleviated.Conclusion The MDASI-C is a reliable and effective assessment tool to evaluate patients with breast cancer in China.The symptoms are related to many clinical and biochemical indicators. 展开更多

Tea represents an abundant source of naturally occurring polyphenols.Tea polyphenols(TPs)have received growing attentions for its wide consumption in the world,and more importantly its pleiotropic bioeffects for human health.After ingestion,TPs may undergo absorption and phase II reaction in the small intestine,and most undigested proportion would be submitted to the colon to interact with gut microbiota.Interactions between gut microbiota and TPs are bidirectional,including not only bacteria-mediated TPs metabolism,e.g.,removal of gallic acid moiety and ring fission to release phenolic acid catabolites,but also TPs-based modification of bacterial profiles.Crosstalk between TPs and gut microbes may benefit for gut barrier function,for example,improvement of the intestinal permeability to alleviate inflammation.Moreover,by reshaping microbial composition and associated metabolites,TPs may exert a systemic protection on host metabolism,which contributes to improve certain chronic metabolic disorders.Given that,further understanding of the metabolic fate of TPs and interplay with gut microbiota as well as potential health-promoting effects are of great significance to development and application of tea and their polyphenolic components in the future as dietary supplements and/or functional ingredients in medical foods. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the utilization of tartary buckwheat resources,enrich the varieties of rice wine products,and further promote the development of the rice wine industry.[Methods]With tartary buckwheat and glutinous rice as raw materials for mixed fermentation and sensory score as an evaluation indicator,the effects of four factors of material ratio,rice leaven addition,material-to-water ratio and fermentation time on the quality of tartary buckwheat rice wine were investigated.The optimal technological conditions of tartary buckwheat rice wine were determined by an orthogonal test.[Results]The optimal process conditions were as follows:the material ratio of 1∶0.2(g/g),the addition amount of rice leaven of 0.5%,the material to water ratio of 1∶0.4(g/ml),and the fermentation time of 72 h.The obtained tartary buckwheat rice wine product was light yellow,clear and bright,and tasted moderately sweet and sour.[Conclusions]The tartary buckwheat rice wine product has good color,fragrance and taste,and is a healthy drink that conforms to people s health concepts and is suitable for drinking. 展开更多

[Methods] Based on single factor experiments, with the extraction rate of polysaccharides as the response value and liquid-to-solid ratio, extraction temperature and extraction time as investigation factors, the optimum extraction process for tea polysaccharides from Yingshan cloud tea was determined by Box-Behnken central componse design and response surface analysis method. [Results] Under the conditions of the liquid-to-solid ratio of 50∶1(ml/g), the extraction temperature at 94 ℃ and the extraction time of 210 min, the extraction rate of polysaccharides from Yingshan cloud tea reached 2.16%. Water levels in reservoirs are generally not allowed to exceed the flood-limited water level during the flood season, which means that huge amounts of water spill in order to provide adequate storage for flood prevention and that it is difficult to fill the reservoir fully at the end of year. Early reservoir refill is an effective method for addressing the contradiction between the needs of flood control and of comprehensive utilization. This study selected the Danjiangkou Reservoir, which is the water source for the middle route of the South-North Water Diversion Project (SNWDP) in China, as a case study, and analyzed the necessity and operational feasibility of early reservoir refill. An early reservoir refill model is proposed based on the maximum average storage ratio, optimized by the progressive optimality algorithm, and the optimal scheduling schemes were obtained. Results show that the best time of refill operation for the Danjiangkou Reservoir is September 15, and the upper limit water level during September is 166 m. The proposed early refill scheme, in stages, can increase the annual average storage ratio from 77.51% to 81.99%, and decrease spilled water from 2.439 × 109 m^3 to 1.692×109 m^3, in comparison to the original design scheme. [Methods] With whole potato flour, wheat flour and minced fish as main raw materials, the effects of the ratio of whole potato flour to minced fish and the addition amounts of sodium alginate, egg white, salt and ginger juice on the quality of whole potato flour fish noodles were studied. An orthogonal experiment was conducted to confirm the optimal technical formula of the whole potato flour fish noodles. [Results] The best formula of the whole potato flour fish noodles was whole potato flour 30 g, wheat flour 20 g, minced fish(grass carp) 50 g, salt 2.00 g, egg white 4.00 g, sodium alginate 2.00 g, and ginger juice 5.00 g. [Conclusions] The whole potato flour fish noodles prepared according to this formula are not only nutritious and taste good, but also have the advantages of easy and convenient eating and storage. Although bulk SnP3 has been fabricated by experiments in the 1970’s,its electronic and optical properties within several layers have not been reported.Here,based on first-principles calculations,we have predicted two-dimensional SnP3 layers as new semiconducting materials that possess indirect band gaps of 0.71 eV(monolayer)and 1.03 eV(bilayer),which are different from the metallic character of bulk structure.Remarkably,2D SnP3 possesses high hole mobility of 9.17×10^4cm^2·V^-1s^-1 and high light absorption(~10^6 cm^-1)in the whole visible spectrum,which predicts 2D SnP3 layers as prospective candidates for nanoelectronics and photovoltaics.Interestingly,we found that 2D SnP3 bilayer shows similar electronic and optical characters of silicon. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to screen best process parameters for making Foshou yam and honey can.[Methods]The Foshou yam produced from Wuxue was used as a raw material to prepare Foshou yam and honey nutritional can by combining Foshou yam with honey through screening,pre-cooking,filling,exhausting,cooling and other technical processes.The optimum technology parameter of Foshou yam and honey nutritional can was studied through single factor tests and response surface optimization.[Results]The optimum technical parameters of Foshou yam and honey nutritional can were citric acid concentration 0.1%,amount of edible salt 0.1%,cooking time 14 min and honey concentration 26%.Under these conditions,the final sensory score was 90.20.The prepared can was not only rich in nutrition,but also had good flavor and taste.[Conclusions]This study provides reference for the development and utilization of Foshou yam and the research and development of functional food. 展开更多

Effects of Supplemental Amount of Tuanfeng Lotus Seed Powder on Quality of Silver Carp Surimi Products

[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the gel properties of freshwater surimi and its products. [Methods] Tuanfeng lotus seed powder was added to frozen silver carp, and the relationship between the addiamount of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder(1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%) and the quality of surimi products was studied, so as to improve the quality of surimi products. [Results] The water holding capacity(86.71%±0.36%), hardness(3 566.64±51.15) g, chewiness(2 697.16±15.81) g and gel strength(692.54±23.19) of surimi products increased to the maximums when the addition amount of lotus seed powder was 3%. Meanwhile, the cooking loss rate was reduced to the minimum(13.00%±0.17%), and the sensory quality was the best, although the whiteness of surimi products decreased slightly with the increase of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder. Therefore, the quality of silver carp surimi products could be improved obviously when the dosage of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder was 3%. [Conclusions] This study provides more new ideas for improving the quality of silver carp surimi products, and simultaneously makes the development of lotus seed food more diversified. 展开更多
