A series of carbon nitride(CN)materials represented by graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))have been widely used in bioimaging,biosensing,and other fields in recent years due to their nontoxicity,low cost,and high luminescent quantum efficiency.What is more attractive is that the luminescent properties such as wavelength and intensity can be regulated by controlling the structure at the molecular level.Hence,it is time to summarize the related research on CN structural evolution and make a prospect on future developments.In this review,we first summarize the research history and multiple structural evolution of CN.Then,the progress of improving the luminescence performance of CN through structural evolution was discussed.Significantly,the relationship between CN structure evolution and energy conversion in the forms of photoluminescence,chemiluminescence,and electrochemiluminescence was reviewed.Finally,key challenges and opportunities such as nanoscale dispersion strategy,luminous efficiency improving methods,standardization evaluation,and macroscopic preparation of CN are highlighted. 展开更多

Rechargeable magnesium metal batteries need an electrolyte that forms a stable and ionically conductive solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on the anodes.Here,we used molecular dynamic simulation,density functional theory calculation,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis to investigate the solvation structures and SEI compositions in electrolytes consisting of dual-salts,magnesium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(MgTFSI_(2)),and MgCl_(2),with different additives in 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME)solvent.We found that the formed[Mg_(3)(μ-Cl)_(4)(DME)mTFSI_(2)](m=3,5)inner-shell solvation clusters in MgTFSI_(2)-MgCl_(2)/DME electrolyte could easily decompose and form a MgO-and MgF_(2)-rich SEI.Such electron-rich inorganic species in the SEI,especially MgF_(2),turned out to be detrimental for Mg plating/stripping.To reduce the MgF_(2)and MgO contents in SEI,we introduce an electron-deficient tri(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)borate(TFEB)additive in the electrolyte.Mg//Mg cells using the MgTFSI_(2)-MgCl_(2)/DME-TFEB electrolyte could cycle stably for over 400 h with a small polarization voltage of~150 mV.Even with the presence of 800 ppm H_(2)O,the electrolyte with TFEB additive could still preserve its good electrochemical performance.The optimized electrolyte also enabled stable cycling and high-rate capability for Mg//Mo6S8 and Mg//CuS full cells,showing great potential for future applications. 展开更多

Microbial activity and interaction are the important driving factors in the start-up phase of food waste composting at low temperature.The aim of this study was to explore the effect of inoculating Bacillus licheniformis on the degradation of organic components and the potential microbe-driven mechanism from the aspects of organic matter degradation,enzyme activity,microbial community interaction,and microbial metabolic function.The results showed that after inoculating B.licheniformis,temperature increased to 47.8℃ on day2,and the degradation of readily degraded carbohydrates(RDC)increased by 31.2%,and the bioheat production increased by 16.5%.There was an obvious enhancement of extracellular enzymes activities after inoculation,especially amylase activity,which increased by 7.68 times on day 4.The inoculated B.licheniformis colonized in composting as key genus in the start-up phase.Modular network analysis and Mantel test indicated that inoculation drove the cooperation between microbial network modules who were responsible for various organic components(RDC,lipid,protein,and lignocellulose)degradation in the start-up phase.Metabolic function prediction suggested that carbohydrate metabolisms including starch and sucrose metabolism,glycolysis/gluconeogenesis,pyruvate metabolism,etc.,were improved by increasing the abundance of related functional genes after inoculation.In conclusion,inoculating B.licheniformis accelerated organic degradation by driving the cooperation between microbial network modules and enhancing microbial metabolism in the start-up phase of composting. 展开更多

With the exponential growth of the data traffic in wireless communication systems, terahertz(THz) frequency band is envisioned as a promising candidate to support ultra-broadband for future beyond fifth generation(5G), bridging the gap between millimeter wave(mmWave) and optical frequency ranges. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive literature review on the development towards THz communications and presents some key technologies faced in THz wireless communication systems. Firstly, despite the substantial hardware problems that have to be developed in terms of the THz solid state superheterodyne receiver, high speed THz modulators and THz antennas, the practical THz channel model and the efficient THz beamforming are also described to compensate for the severe path attenuation. Moreover, two different kinds of lab-level THz communication systems are introduced minutely, named a solid state THz communication system and a spatial direct modulation THz communication system, respectively. The solid state THz system converts intermediate frequency(IF) modulated signal to THz frequency while the direct modulation THz system allows the high power THz sources to input for approving the relatively long distance communications. Finally, we discuss several potential application scenarios as well as some vital technical challenges that will be encountered in the future THz communications. 展开更多

Objective: To analyze the incidence and mortality rates of corpus uteri cancer in China using 2008-2012 data from the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR) of China.Methods: We analyzed 2008-2012 data from 135 cancer registries using NCCR screening methods and criteria.The Chinese standard population in 2000 and Segi’s world population were applied to determine age-standardized incidence and mortality rates. The annual percentage change(APC) in rate was calculated using the Joinpoint Regression Program.Results: The crude incidence of corpus uteri cancer was 9.58/100,000, making corpus uteri cancer the ninth most common malignancy in females. The crude mortality was 2.97/100,000, making corpus uteri cancer the 13 th leading cause of death from malignant tumors in females. The incidence was higher in urban than in rural areas, but the mortality was higher in rural than in urban areas. The crude incidence was higher in eastern areas than in middle and western areas, while the crude mortality was higher in middle areas than in eastern and western areas.During 2003-2012, the age-standardized incidence rate based on the Chinese standard population in 2000(ASIRC)with uterine cancer increased significantly by 3.0% annually, while the age-standardized mortality rate based on the Chinese standard population in 2000(ASMRC) decreased by 0.4% annually, but the decrease was not statistically significant. The APC in incidence rate in the age groups of 30-44 years was 4.2%, which was statistically significant;increases/decreases in other age groups were not statistically significant. From 2003 to 2004, the age groups of 60-74 years showed high incidence, while from 2005 to 2012, the age groups of 45-59 years had high incidence.Conclusions: The incidence and mortality rates of corpus uteri cancer in China from 2008 to 2012 were relatively low compared with other countries. However, the significant increase in incidence rates and marked decrease in patient age suggest the need to strengthen China’s efforts toward prevention and control of corpus uteri cancer. 展开更多

Image classification based on bag-of-words(BOW)has a broad application prospect in pattern recognition field but the shortcomings such as single feature and low classification accuracy are apparent.To deal with this problem,this paper proposes to combine two ingredients:(i)Three features with functions of mutual complementation are adopted to describe the images,including pyramid histogram of words(PHOW),pyramid histogram of color(PHOC)and pyramid histogram of orientated gradients(PHOG).(ii)An adaptive feature-weight adjusted image categorization algorithm based on the SVM and the decision level fusion of multiple features are employed.Experiments are carried out on the Caltech101 database,which confirms the validity of the proposed approach.The experimental results show that the classification accuracy rate of the proposed method is improved by 7%-14%higher than that of the traditional BOW methods.With full utilization of global,local and spatial information,the algorithm is much more complete and flexible to describe the feature information of the image through the multi-feature fusion and the pyramid structure composed by image spatial multi-resolution decomposition.Significant improvements to the classification accuracy are achieved as the result. 展开更多

[Methods]A single factor randomized block design was used,and wide and narrow strip intercropping was adopted. Three different fertilization treatments,namely fertilizers for conventional field fertilization( A1),80% A1( A2) and 60% A1( A3) were applied to the field production. The fertilizing sites were about 25 cm away from maize and repeated three times. [Results]Compared with A1,the change laws of the agronomic traits and yield in the A2 and A3 intercropping systems were described as below. Agronomic traits: The plant height became shorter gradually for the spring soybean,but increased gradually for the summer soybean,the bottom pod height gradually reduced,and the node number,pods per plant and seeds per plant increased;and the plant height,ear length,rows per ear,seeds per row and 1 000-seed weight of the spring maize decreased. Yield: The yield of maize as the main crop decreased but not significant,by 3. 20% and 3. 99%,respectively in A2 and A3,both smaller than 5. 00%;the yield of the spring soybean significantly increased by 9. 70% and 11. 84%,respectively;the yield of the summer soybean increased by 5. 18% and 8. 98%,respectively;and the total yield increased by 0. 20% and 0. 92%,respectively. Benefit: The total output value increased by 2. 97 % and 4. 91 %,respectively,and the total benefit increased by 6. 39% and 11. 22%,respectively. [Conclusions] Under a 40% reduction in fertilizer applied in the field,the one-year triple cropping " maize-soybean" strip intercropping system still met the multi-target requirements of increasing grain production and economic benefits,and thus can be promoted and applied in Guangxi. 展开更多

An implementation of adaptive filtering, composed of an unsupervised adaptive filter (UAF), a multi-step forward linear predictor (FLP), and an unsupervised multi-step adaptive predictor (UMAP), is built for suppressing impulsive noise in unknown circumstances. This filtering scheme, called unsupervised robust adaptive filter (URAF), possesses a switching structure, which ensures the robustness against impulsive noise. The FLP is used to detect the possible impulsive noise added to the signal, if the signal is "impulse-free", the filter UAF can estimate the clean sig- nal. If there exists impulsive noise, the impulse corrupted samples are replaced by predicted ones from the FLP, and then the UMAP estimates the clean signal. Both the simulation and experimental results show that the URAF has a better rate of convergence than the most recent universal filter, and is effective to restrict large disturbance like impulsive noise when the universal filter fails. 展开更多

TGW is an important agronomic trait that influences the yield and milling quality of wheat. In this paper, after having investigated the phenotype of TGW from 114 ITMI recombinant inbred genealogies in 4 years in Qaidam Basin, a typical plateau oasis agricultural area, and having combined 1410 molecular markers, 7 major QTL loci of the thousand gain weight were screened out with the aid of QTL network software. These loci included qTgw1B (42.6 cm), qTgw2A(77.9 cm), qTgw2D1 (25.4 cm), qTgw2D2 (51.8 cm), qTgw6A1 (56.1 cm), qTgw6A2 (62.2 cm) and qTgw7A(75.7 cm) with their genetic contribution rates between 3.29% - 19.36%. There were two epistatic effect loci2A-2D and2A-6B with their genetic contribution rates as 2.3% and 5.3% respectively. The quantitative genetic locus positioning of thousand hexaploid wheat grain weight in Qaidam Basin can assist us in better understanding the genetic regulatory network formed by TGW, and can also provide a theoretical basis for improving thousand wheat grain weight in this ecological area. 展开更多

Photosynthetic products are mainly produced by leaf and green silique of oil-seed rape (Brassica napus L.) at reproductive growth stage. This study aimed to compare photosynthetic features of leaf and green silique of ‘Qinyou 7’ hybrid oilseed rape variety. Results showed that, during photosynthetic day time, net photosynthetic rate (PN) and sto-matal conductance (gs) of leaf were markedly higher than that of silique. Compared with silique, leaf had signifcant higher PN, gs, light saturated net photosynthetic rate (PNmax), light saturation point (LSP), and apparent quantum yield (AQY), but lower light compensa-tion point (LCP), CO2 compensation point (Γ) and carboxylation effciency (CE) under var-ious light densities and CO2 concentrations. Carboxylation activities of ribulose-1, 5-bis-phosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco), phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) and chlorophyll a, b (Chl a, b) of leaf were signifcantly higher than that of silique shell. Our study demonstrated that leaf of oilseed rape at reproductive growth stage had higher photosynthetic capacity than green silique due to its higher carboxylation activity of pho-tosynthetic enzymes as well as higher gs and Chl contents. This study might have good implication in selecting a biological control strategy to enhance seed yield and oil produc-tion of oilseed rape. 展开更多

Plants have evolved complex physical and chemical defense systems that allow them to withstand herbivory infestation.Composed of a complex mixture of very-long-chain fatty acids(VLCFAs)and their derivatives,cuticular wax constitutes the first physical line of defense against herbivores.Here,we report the function of Glossy 8(ZmGL8),which encodes a 3-ketoacyl reductase belonging to the fatty acid elongase complex,in orchestrating wax production and jasmonic acid(JA)-mediated defenses against herbivores in maize(Zea mays).The mutation of GL8 enhanced chemical defenses by activating the JA-dependent pathway.We observed a trade-off between wax accumulation and JA levels across maize glossy mutants and 24 globally collected maize inbred lines.In addition,we demonstrated that mutants defective in cuticular wax biosynthesis in Arabidopsis thaliana and maize exhibit enhanced chemical defenses.Comprehensive transcriptomic and lipidomic analyses indicated that the gl8 mutant confers chemical resistance to herbivores by remodeling VLCFA-related lipid metabolism and subsequent JA biosynthesis and signaling.These results suggest that VLCFA-related lipid metabolism has a critical role in regulating the trade-offs between cuticular wax and JA-mediated chemical defenses. 展开更多

The integration of gray and green infrastructure has proven to be a feasible approach for managing stormwater in established urban areas.However,evaluating the specific contributions of such coupled strategies is challenging.This study introduced a novel integrated hydrological-hydrodynamic model that takes into account the layout of low-impact development(LID)facilities along with pipeline alignment and rehabilitation.Reliable results from modeling were used to assess the individual contribution of LID and improved drainage facilities to urban flooding mitigation.We selected a natural island in Guangzhou City,China,as the study site.The results indicate that combining three LID measures,namely green roofs,sunken green spaces,and permeable pavements,can reduce total runoff by 41.7%to 25.89%for rainfall recurrence periods ranging from 1year to 100 years,and decrease the volume of nodal overflow by nearly half during rainfall events of less than 10-year return period.By integrating LID measures with the upgraded gray infrastructure,the regional pipeline overloading condition is substantially alleviated,resulting in a significant improvement in pipeline system resilience.For urban flooding control,it is recommended to integrate sufficient green space and avoid pipe-laying structural issues during urban planning and construction.The findings may assist stakeholders in developing strategies to best utilize gray and green infrastructure in mitigating the negative eff ects of urban flooding. 展开更多

Host-guest inclusion complexes have been extensively studied for drug delivery applications.The host molecule,typically cyclodextrin,creates a cavity,in which the guest molecule,such as a drug,can be encapsulated.This encapsulation can protect the drug from degradation,improve its solubility and stability,and enhance its bioavailability.Moreover,host-guest inclusion complexes can facilitate targeted drug delivery by selectively releasing drugs at the site of action.Various techniques,such as covalent bonding,non-covalent interactions,and self-assembly have been used to form these complexes.Host-guest inclusion complexes have shown great potential for improving the efficacy and safety of drug delivery systems.This mini review summarizes the application and recent progress of the cyclodextrin-based host-guest inclusion complex,highlighting the enhanced physicochemical and biopharmaceutical application of pharmaceutical drugs via formulation of its inclusion complex. 展开更多

【目的】海洋浮游古菌是生物地球化学循环的关键驱动者,但其在近岸海域的水平空间分布特征还未被充分了解。本研究以与陆地紧密相连的环梅山岛海域为例研究浮游古菌在海陆过渡带的水平分布模式。【方法】利用16S rRNA基因扩增子测序,以... 【目的】海洋浮游古菌是生物地球化学循环的关键驱动者,但其在近岸海域的水平空间分布特征还未被充分了解。本研究以与陆地紧密相连的环梅山岛海域为例研究浮游古菌在海陆过渡带的水平分布模式。【方法】利用16S rRNA基因扩增子测序,以期从优势类群分布、群落组成变化和物种共现模式3个层面揭示梅山湾潟湖区和临近海域春季浮游古菌的空间分布特征。【结果】该海域浮游古菌在原核生物群落中的相对丰度为0.6%-26.5%,向海侧古菌丰度显著高于潟湖区。浮游古菌群落由奇古菌门Marine Group(MG)I和广古菌门MGII主导,MGI的物种组成较为单一,而MGII的系统发育多样性较高。古菌群落的空间分布受同质扩散、环境选择和非主导过程(包括生态漂变)的共同塑造,其中环境选择主要由悬浮颗粒物、硝酸盐、溶解氧、水温和铵盐驱动。通过网络分析发现MGI与红杆菌科细菌呈广泛的负相关,MGII则普遍与SAR11、SAR116和SAR86等异养细菌类群呈正相关。【结论】本研究初步揭示了环梅山岛海域春季浮游古菌群落的空间分布特征及其调控因子,拓展了对古菌在海陆过渡带分布规律的认识。 展开更多

The efficient near-infrared light detection of the MoTe2/germanium(Ge)heterojunction has been demonstrated.The fabricated MoTe2/Ge van der Waals heterojunction shows excellent photoresponse performances under the illumination of a 915 nm laser.The photoresponsivity and specific detectivity can reach to 12,460 A/W and 3.3×10^12 Jones,respectively.And the photoresponse time is 5 ms.However,the MoTe2/Ge heterojunction suffers from a large reverse current at dark due to the low barrier between MoTe2 and Ge.Therefore,to reduce the reverse current,an ultrathin GeO2 layer deposited by ozone oxidation has been introduced to the MoTe2/Ge heterojunction.The reverse current of the MoTe2/GeO2/Ge heterojunction at dark was suppressed from 0.44µA/µm^2 to 0.03 nA/µm^2,being reduced by more than four orders of magnitude.The MoTe2/Ge heterojunction with the GeO2 layer also exhibits good photoresponse performances,with a high responsivity of 15.6 A/W,short response time of 5 ms,and good specific detectivity of 4.86×10^11 Jones.These properties suggest that MoTe2/Ge heterostructure is one of the promising structures for the development of high performance near-infrared photodetectors. 展开更多

Molybdenum ditelluride (MoTe2) has been demonstrated great potential in electronic and optoelectronic applications. However, the reported effective hole mobility remains far below its theoretical value. Herein, taking advantage of high-κ screening effect, we have fabricated back-gated MoTe2 transistors on an Al2O3 high-κ dielectric and systematically investigated the electronic and optoelectronic proper- ties. A high current on/off ratio exceeding 106 is achieved in the Al2O3-based MoTe2 transistors, and the hole mobility is demonstrated to be 150 cm2 V^-1 s^-1, compared to 0.2-20 cm^2 V^-1 s^-1 ever obtained from back-gated MoTe2 transistors in the literatures. Moreover, a considerable hole concentration of 1.2 × 10^13 cm 2 is attained in our Al2O3-based MoTe2 transistors owing to the strong gate control capa- bility, leading to a high on-state hole current of 6.1 μA μm^-1. After optimization, our Al2O3-based MoTe2 phototransistor exhibits outstanding photodetective performance, with a high responsivity of 543 AW^-1 and a high photogain of 1,662 at 405 nm light illumination, which are boosted around 419 times compared to the referential SiO2-based control devices. The mechanisms of photoconductivity in the Al2O3-based MoTe2 phototransistors have been analyzed in detail, and the photogating effect is considered to play an important role. This work may provide useful insight to improve carrier mobility in two-dimensional layered semiconductors and open opportunities to facilitate the development of high-performance photodetectors in the future. 展开更多
