Variation in metabolite profiles of Haematococcus pluvialis(a type of unicellular green algal)under light stress is a key issue of study at the present.To investigate the effect of light intensity on accumulation of a...Variation in metabolite profiles of Haematococcus pluvialis(a type of unicellular green algal)under light stress is a key issue of study at the present.To investigate the effect of light intensity on accumulation of astaxanthin in H.pluvialis,a 26-day batch culture experiment of H.pluvialis under the light intensity levels at 73,127,182,236,and 291μmol/(m^(2)·s)was conducted.Therefore,the optimal light intensity and the corresponding metabolic pathways of accumulation in H.pluvialis were determined.Results show that 236μmol/(m^(2)·s)was the optimum light intensity to induce astaxanthin accumulation,at which a maximum content of 9.01 mg/L was achieved on Day 24.A total of 132 metabolites were identified and quantified,of which 38 differential metabolites were highlighted and classified,including 3 fatty acids or intermediates,5 amino acids or derivatives,5 carbohydrates or intermediates,16nucleoside derivatives,and 9 other metabolites using LC-MS/MS technique.Subsequently,16 statistically significant differential metabolic pathways were enriched and annotated based on Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis between the control and the 236μmol/(m^(2)·s)treatment group(P<0.05).In addition,the bioprocesses included cellular basal metabolism and signaling systems,such as carbohydrate metabolism,amino acid metabolism,glycerol and derivatives metabolism,nucleotide and derivative metabolism,and inositol phosphate metabolism were activated and regulated under strong light stress conditions.Moreover,4 hub metabolites containing D-glucose-6-phosphate,L-tyrosine,glycerol-3-phosphate,and L-glutamine were identified,based on which the associated metabolic network was constructed.The study provided a metabolomic view of astaxanthin accumulation in H.pluvialis under strong light stress.展开更多
Exercise can enhance motivation to change lifestyle behaviors,improve aerobic fitness,improve physical function,control fatigue,and enhance quality of life.Studies have demonstrated the benefits to be gained from phys...Exercise can enhance motivation to change lifestyle behaviors,improve aerobic fitness,improve physical function,control fatigue,and enhance quality of life.Studies have demonstrated the benefits to be gained from physical exercise,highlighting the importance of popularizing the concept of physical exercise for individuals and making professional exercise-treatment programs available to patients with cancer.However,the correlation between physical exercise and carcinogenesis is easily overlooked,and exercise interventions are not routinely provided to patients with cancer,especially those with advanced cancer.In this article,we present a literature review of the effects of exercise on cancer development and progression and give recent evidence for the type of exercise best suited for different types of cancer and in different disease stages.Moreover,the molecular mechanisms about regulating metabolism and systemic immune function in cancer are summarized and discussed.In conclusion,physical exercise should be considered as an important intervention for preventing and treating cancer and its complications.展开更多
Berberine hydrochloride is commonly used to treat bacterial dysentery,gastroenteritis and other diseases.Many manufacturers are available on the market today,while the production process and formulation are quite diff...Berberine hydrochloride is commonly used to treat bacterial dysentery,gastroenteritis and other diseases.Many manufacturers are available on the market today,while the production process and formulation are quite different,which may directly affect the therapeutic effect of the drug.To this end,11 different production producers of berberine hydrochloride tablets were collected according to the pharmacopeia berberine hydrochloride dissolution method(basket method).In addition the dissolution process was carried out in four elution media with different pH,and the difference was similar(f2).Factors were calculated to evaluate in vitro dissolution requirements,and in vitro dissolution of different manufacturers of berberine hydrochloride tablets was determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).The method was verified by linearity,precision,stability and robustness.Based on the f2 value,there was a significant difference in the dissolution behavior of the formulations of most berberine hydrochloride tablet brands.This research provided the basis for further in-depth research in the later period.Although the drug specifications(0.1 g)were the same,the dissolution curve was different.This phenomenon may be attributed to the fact that the excipients and crystal form of the tablets affected the release and dissolution of the tablets in vitro.展开更多
The Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC) model was applied to investigate the relationship between economic growth and water environment quality based on panel data of Taicang during 2010–2017. The typical inversed-U sha...The Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC) model was applied to investigate the relationship between economic growth and water environment quality based on panel data of Taicang during 2010–2017. The typical inversed-U shaped relationship has been obtained between GDP(gross domestic product) and indicators of ammonia, total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorus(TP), respectively. The EKC turning point appeared when the GDP per capita was around US$2270, which was much lower than those in some developed countries(US$11,200). However, the decoupling between chemical oxygen demand(COD) and GDP per capita occurred even before this period, which should be attributed to the strict COD emission regulation being implemented since 2010. Further, analysis based on the Tapio decoupling coefficient elasticity model analyzed the ammonia nitrogen and economic development of each industry. We found that the agriculture no-point was strong decoupling in 2011–2014, then came to Recessive decoupling. The domestic wastewater had been in a strong decoupling state;Both urban non-point and industry experienced expansive negative decoupling, due to strict policy that prioritizes the environment over development and the investment in improvement of environment and techniques, both of them gradually came to strong decoupling. The result demonstrated that the EKC turning point could be appear in earlier economic stage and the decoupling coefficient elasticity could be improved through taking strong regulation measures.展开更多

The crystal field splitting and the centroid sh...The designed Ce^3+-doped alkaline-earth silicate phosphors CamSr2 m-nBanSiO4:Ce^3+,Li^+ (CSBS:Ce^3+) were synthesized by a high temperature solid-state reaction. The crystal field splitting and the centroid shift from the flee ion energy of 5d configuration were approximated from the spectrum for Ca2SiO4, Sr2SiO4 and Ba2SiO4 phosphors. The single-phase purity was checked by means of X-ray diffraction. Here, when the doped concentration of Ca2. is less than 80% (m 〈 1.6), we report the structural phase transformation from monoclinic system [3-Ca2Si04 to orthorhombic system α′-Ca2SiO4. The phosphors excited by near-ultraviolet (NUV) light at wavelengths ranging from 200 to 400 nm demonstrate a broad asymmetric blue emission band. The emission peak wavelength redshifts firstly from 417 nm of Ca2SiO4 to 438 nm of Sro.3Cal.6SiO4, and then blueshifts to 411 nm of Sr2SiO4, and the end of 401 nm of Ba2SiOa. These results indicate that the tunable blue-emission of the phosphors can he realized through changing the solid solution components, which has a potential use as a blue component for fabricated precision modulation LEDs light sources and auxiliaries of SSC plastics films for different plant growths. We discuss in detail the possible mechanism and energy diagram of the tunable blue luminescence in CamSr2-M-nBaNSiO4:Ce^3+.Li^+ phosphors.展开更多

Indeed, if the practical application is not influenced, it is acceptable to synthesize a kind of phosphors with diphase matrix that have similar structure and photoluminescence properties. In present work, we designed and synthesized a series of(1-x)BaMSiO4·xBa2 MSi2 O7:Eu(M = Zn2+, Mg2+) diphase phosphors which contained two phases BaMSiO4(hexagonal, P63) and Ba2 MSi2 O7(monoclinic, C2/c) by a high temperature solid-state reaction in air condition. The structures and luminescence properties related to the phase transform from BaMSiO4 to Ba2 MSi2 O7 were analyzed carefully. The results show that the self-reduction ability of Eu3+ is not the best in above four compounds, respectively. But it reaches the maximum and gets the green emission under the UV lamp when the matrix is in a proper ratio of two phases, which suggests that the heterostructure between the two crystals(BaMSiO4 and Ba2 MSi2 O7) improves the self-reduction process of the diphase.The possible mechanism of the tunable europium valence and the luminescent properties in(1-x)BaMSiO4·xBa2 MSi2 O7:Eu phosphors were discussed in detail.展开更多
Objective:The objective of this study was to investigate the expression levels of microRNA-141-5p(miRNA-141-5p),MAPK1 and neutrophil elastase in patients with and without preeclampsia(PE),and the relationship between ...Objective:The objective of this study was to investigate the expression levels of microRNA-141-5p(miRNA-141-5p),MAPK1 and neutrophil elastase in patients with and without preeclampsia(PE),and the relationship between miRNA-141-5p and MAPK1 with respect to the secretion of elastase by neutrophils in patients with PE.Methods:Thirty patients with PE and 30 healthy pregnant(HP)women were recruited from The Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University,Taiyuan,China,between February 2017 and July 2018.Neutrophils were isolated from 8 mL peripheral blood samples and cultured.We recorded neutrophil count and morphology during culture.Apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry in different groups at 0,24,and 48 h.The expression levels of elastase were detected in neutrophils by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,whereas the expression levels of miRNA-141-5p in peripheral blood neutrophils were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction.We used TargetScanHuman Release 7.2 to analyze the target genes of miRNA-141-5p.The expression of MAPK1 in peripheral blood neutrophils was detected by western blotting.Data were analyzed by SPSS version 21.0 software,and comparisons between groups were carried out with the Studentt test.Results:There was no significant difference between the PE and HP groups(P>0.050)with regard to age or body mass index.The weight of newborns in the PE group(2846.00±600.00 g)was significantly lower than that in the HP group(3055.00±230.68 g).The number of neutrophilic granulocytes(NGs)in blood samples from the PE group was significantly higher than that in the HP group(P=0.003).There was no significant difference between the groups with regard to morphology.Apoptosis in the PE group was delayed when compared with the HP group at different time points.TheP value of apoptosis in the PE and HP groups were respectively 0.790,<0.001 and 0.030 at 0 h,24 h and 48 h.The expression levels of miRNA-141-5p in the PE group were significantly lower than those in the HP group(P<0.050).The expression levels of MAPK1 in neutrophils from the PE group were significantly higher than those in the HP group(P<0.050)by western blot.The expression levels of elastase in neutrophils from the PE group were significantly higher than those in the HP group(P<0.050).Furthermore,the number of NGs in peripheral blood from the PE group was higher than that of the HP group;however,the levels of apoptosis were lower.The expression levels of miRNA-141-5p in NGs decreased,the expression of MAPK1 increased,and the secretion of neutrophil elastase in the NG medium increased in the PE group than those in the HP group.Conclusion:Collectively,our analysis suggested that miRNA-141-5p may be involved in the pathogenesis of PE by regulating the MAPK1 signaling pathway to activate neutrophils and increase the secretion of elastase.展开更多
