Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)are a group of heterogeneous immature cells with a strong immunosuppressive function in myeloid cells,which are impeded in the differentiation of myeloid cells under the patholog...Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)are a group of heterogeneous immature cells with a strong immunosuppressive function in myeloid cells,which are impeded in the differentiation of myeloid cells under the pathological conditions of hypoxia,inflammation,infection,and cancer.As individuals age,there is a significant increase in myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),which subsequently enhance the immunosuppressive functions of Tregs(regulatory T cells)and Bregs(regulatory B cells).Therefore,MDSC may be related to immune system remodeling,thereby preventing excessive lesions caused by aging.This indicates that MDSC could serve as a potent inducer of immune senescence.Immune senescence,characterized by immune dysfunction with aging,is closely linked to the onset of diseases like infections,pulmonary fibrosis,and tumors.To achieve the purpose of anti-aging by intervening in immune aging and slow down the occurrence and development of related diseases.Therefore,understanding the biological characteristics of MDSC and its role in immune aging is crucial for immunotherapy targeting MDSC.This article reviews the different roles of MDSC in immune aging and its relationship with pulmonary fibrosis,tumor and other related diseases to provide theoretical basis for more comprehensive targeted MDSC immunotherapy.展开更多

Liver diseases and their co-morbidities represent a major public health problem.Owing to its progressive pathogenesis and lack of effective treatment,liver disease has become one of the most important causes of death ...Liver diseases and their co-morbidities represent a major public health problem.Owing to its progressive pathogenesis and lack of effective treatment,liver disease has become one of the most important causes of death worldwide.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has potential advantages in the prevention and treatment of liver diseases,including high safety,remarkable curative effects,and low toxicity and side effects.In 2021,TCM extracts and their derivatives,TCM compounds,and ethnic medicines showed good efficacy in the treatment of liver diseases.The main mechanisms and representative drugs of TCM can be summarized by the use of amygdalin,dicoumarol,quercetin,and ancient ephedrine decoction to treat hepatitis by inhibiting viral replication,as well as the use of Gentianae Radix,lupeol,Zornia diphylla(L.)Pers.,and Chinese patent medicine Liuwei Wuling tablet to alleviate acute liver injury by improving oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in the body.In the treatment of alcoholic liver disease and metabolic-associated fatty liver disease,the mechanism of TCM is the inhibition of oxidative stress,improving metabolism,regulating intestinal microflora,and enhancing intestinal barrier function.The representative TCM for alcoholic liver disease includes astragaloside,puerarin,patchouli alcohol,and Mori Fructus polysaccharide,while those for metabolic-associated fatty liver disease include saikosaponin,dehydroabietic acid,hesperetin,berberine,and Panax Notoginseng saponins.Additionally,germacrone,forsythin,geniposide,and protocatechuic acid can inhibit the activation or migration of stellate cells and improve liver fibrosis.Toosendanin,paeoniflorin,chrysin,and the classical prescription Huanglian decoction can significantly inhibit the proliferation of liver cancer cells and promote their apoptosis for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.The activation of the farnesol X receptor pathway can improve bile metabolism in the liver,thus,significantly alleviating cholestatic liver disease.Its representative drugs include the TCM extracts pterostilbene and arbutin.In this review,we summarize the advances made in research on TCM used in the treatment of liver diseases in 2021,providing a reference for further development of TCM for the prevention and treatment of liver diseases.展开更多
Objective:Based on the CiteSpace tool,this study makes a visualization analysis on the treatment of infantile pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine in the past 20 years,so as to explore the development status,re...Objective:Based on the CiteSpace tool,this study makes a visualization analysis on the treatment of infantile pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine in the past 20 years,so as to explore the development status,research hotspots and frontier trends of the treatment of infantile pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine,and provide a reference for the research on the treatment of infantile pneumonia and related diseases with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:A total of 645 literatures related to the treatment of pediatric pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine were retrieved from CNKI.The visual atlas was made by year,author,institution and key words,and the co-occurrence,clustering and emergence analysis were performed.Results:The related literatures span from January 2001 to February 2021,and the number of related literatures showed an obvious increasing trend,with an average annual publication of 38 papers.From 2002 to 2014,the increase was the most obvious,and began to show a gentle growth trend in 2015.Twelve main clusters were obtained by keyword cluster analysis.Emergent analysis results in a total of 19 emergent words,which are composed of 439 nodes and 1,452 lines in total.There are different research hotspots in different periods,and in the past five years,the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of infantile pneumonia and the related research of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing has become a contemporary hot spot.Conclusion:At present,the research on the treatment of children's pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine shows an increasing trend.There is still a lack of continuity among various studies.The cooperation between the authors and various institutions is low.Moreover,the research direction in this field mainly focuses on children's mycoplasma pneumonia.In addition,the clinical efficacy observation of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and azithromycin in the treatment of children's pneumonia will become a hot topic in the future.In addition to the research focus in this field,the clinical efficacy of TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)in the treatment of infantile pneumonia and the characteristic nursing of traditional Chinese medicine may still become one of the hot spots in the future.展开更多
