BACKGROUND Laparoscopic gastrectomy for esophagogastric junction(EGJ)carcinoma enables the removal of the carcinoma at the junction between the stomach and esophagus while preserving the gastric function,thereby provi...BACKGROUND Laparoscopic gastrectomy for esophagogastric junction(EGJ)carcinoma enables the removal of the carcinoma at the junction between the stomach and esophagus while preserving the gastric function,thereby providing patients with better treatment outcomes and quality of life.Nonetheless,this surgical technique also presents some challenges and limitations.Therefore,three-dimensional reconstruction visualization technology(3D RVT)has been introduced into the procedure,providing doctors with more comprehensive and intuitive anatomical information that helps with surgical planning,navigation,and outcome evaluation.AIM To discuss the application and advantages of 3D RVT in precise laparoscopic resection of EGJ carcinomas.METHODS Data were obtained from the electronic or paper-based medical records at The First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from January 2020 to June 2022.A total of 120 patients diagnosed with EGJ carcinoma were included in the study.Of these,68 underwent laparoscopic resection after computed tomography(CT)-enhanced scanning and were categorized into the 2D group,whereas 52 underwent laparoscopic resection after CT-enhanced scanning and 3D RVT and were categorized into the 3D group.This study had two outcome measures:the deviation between tumor-related factors(such as maximum tumor diameter and infiltration length)in 3D RVT and clinical reality,and surgical outcome indicators(such as operative time,intraoperative blood loss,number of lymph node dissections,R0 resection rate,postoperative hospital stay,postoperative gas discharge time,drainage tube removal time,and related complications)between the 2D and 3D groups.RESULTS Among patients included in the 3D group,27 had a maximum tumor diameter of less than 3 cm,whereas 25 had a diameter of 3 cm or more.In actual surgical observations,24 had a diameter of less than 3 cm,whereas 28 had a diameter of 3 cm or more.The findings were consistent between the two methods(χ^(2)=0.346,P=0.556),with a kappa consistency coefficient of 0.808.With respect to infiltration length,in the 3D group,23 patients had a length of less than 5 cm,whereas 29 had a length of 5 cm or more.In actual surgical observations,20 cases had a length of less than 5 cm,whereas 32 had a length of 5 cm or more.The findings were consistent between the two methods(χ^(2)=0.357,P=0.550),with a kappa consistency coefficient of 0.486.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the maximum tumor diameter and infiltration length measured using 3D RVT were positively correlated with clinical observations during surgery(r=0.814 and 0.490,both P<0.05).The 3D group had a shorter operative time(157.02±8.38 vs 183.16±23.87),less intraoperative blood loss(83.65±14.22 vs 110.94±22.05),and higher number of lymph node dissections(28.98±2.82 vs 23.56±2.77)and R0 resection rate(80.77%vs 61.64%)than the 2D group.Furthermore,the 3D group had shorter hospital stay[8(8,9)vs 13(14,16)],time to gas passage[3(3,4)vs 4(5,5)],and drainage tube removal time[4(4,5)vs 6(6,7)]than the 2D group.The complication rate was lower in the 3D group(11.54%)than in the 2D group(26.47%)(χ^(2)=4.106,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Using 3D RVT,doctors can gain a more comprehensive and intuitive understanding of the anatomy and related lesions of EGJ carcinomas,thus enabling more accurate surgical planning.展开更多

This study ai...Background: Chemotherapy?induced nausea and vomiting adversely affects the quality of life of patients who receive chemotherapy via intravenous infusion or transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE). This study aimed to investigate the clinical effects of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS) on nausea and vomiting after TACE.Methods: A total of 142 patients who received TACE with cisplatin for primary or metastatic liver cancer were assigned to the active?acupuncture(n = 72) or placebo?acupuncture(n Hegu(LI4), Neiguan(P6), an= 70) groups using a covariate?adaptive randomization at a ratio of 1:1. The acupointsd Zusanli(ST36) were stimulated twice daily for 6 days. The effects of TEAS on nausea and vomiting were assessed by using occurrence rate and severity of these symptoms. Anorexia scale and M. D. Anderson Symptom Inventory(MDASI) scores were secondary endpoints and were used to assess the effect of TEAS on patient appetite and quality of life. The safety of the treatments was also monitored.Results: Between the two groups, the differences in occurrence rates and severities of nausea and vomiting after TACE were not significant(all P > 0.05). From the second day after TACE, anorexia scores were significantly lower in the active?acupuncture group than in the placebo?acupuncture group and continued to decrease over time with treat?ment(all P values less than 0.01). On days 0, 1, and 2, the mean MDASI scores for the active?acupuncture group were slightly lower than those for the placebo?acupuncture group, but the differences were not statistically significant(all P > 0.05). No significant differences were found between the two groups in the occurrence rate of any adverse event(P > 0.05).Conclusion: TEAS appears to be a safe and effective therapy to relieve patients' gastrointestinal discomfort after chemotherapy.展开更多

Methods:A total of 65 patients with acute cerebral infarction treated in our hospital from December 2015 to August 2016 were selected for prospective study. They were treated with lipid-lowering rosuvastatin, and peripheral blood samples were collected at 8th week before and after treatment, respectively. Serum was separated and expression quantity of miR-146a and miR-146b and contents of TNF-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and IL-17 were determined. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated and fluorescence intensities of TLR2, TLR4, myeloid differentiation primary response gene 88 (MyD88), interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK-1) and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-kB) were measured. Results:At 8th week of intervention of rosuvastatin, expression quantity of serum miR-146a [(0.762 ± 0.092)vs. (0.346 ± 0.053)] and miR-146b [(0.714 ± 0.088)vs. (0.317 ± 0.047)] in patients with acute cerebral infarction was significantly higher than those before the intervention. Fluorescence intensities of peripheral blood mononuclear cells such as TLR2 [(10.34 ± 1.27)vs. (16.94 ± 1.94)], TLR4 [(11.37 ± 1.54)vs. (24.35 ± 3.26)], IRAK [(9.34 ± 0.92)vs. (15.32 ± 1.82)], MyD88 [(4.42 ± 0.56) vs. (9.41 ± 1.03)] and NF-kB [(6.65 ± 0.78) vs. (13.49 ± 1.76)] and contents of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α [(64.26 ± 8.29) μg/L vs. (106.39 ± 13.84) μg/L], IL-1β [(37.91 ± 5.24) μg/Lvs. (64.23 ± 8.33) μg/L], IL-6 [(34.28 ± 4.85) ng/Lvs. (82.46 ± 11.97) ng/L] and IL-17 [(56.75 ± 7.49) ng/Lvs. (98.31 ± 11.36) ng/L] of serum were all significantly lower than those before the intervention. Expression quantity of serum miR-146a and miR-146b had a negative correlation with fluorescence intensities of TLR2, TLR4, IRAK, MyD88 and NF-kB. Fluorescence intensities of TLR2 and TLR4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells had a positive correlation with contents of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-17 in serum. Conclusions: Treatment with rosuvastatin can up-regulate the expression quantity of serum miR-146a and miR-146b in patients with acute cerebral infarction and further inhibit the secretion of IRAK, MyD88, NF-kB, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-17 mediated by TLR2 and TLR4.展开更多
Objective:To assess the anti-inflammatory efficacy of ferruginol on dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)stimulated ulcerative colitis mice.Methods:Ulcerative colitis was induced in C57 BL/6 J mice by administering 2%of DSS thr...Objective:To assess the anti-inflammatory efficacy of ferruginol on dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)stimulated ulcerative colitis mice.Methods:Ulcerative colitis was induced in C57 BL/6 J mice by administering 2%of DSS through drinking water for 7 d.The mice in the treatment group were treated with DAA+50 mg/kg/day ferruginol orally.In the positive control group,sulfasalazine(50 mg/kg/day)was used alongside with DSS.After induction,the bodyweight,character of stool and feces occult blood were recorded daily,the disease activity index was calculated,and the colon length,colon weight,and spleen weight were recorded.The myeloperoxidase activity was assayed by spectrophotometry.Interleukin(IL)-6,IL-1β,and tumor necrosis factor-αwere determined by ELISA method,and nuclear factor-κB,cyclooxygenase-2,matrix metalloproteinases-9,and inducible nitric oxide synthase by Western blotting assays.Results:Ferruginol significantly increased the bodyweight,colon weight,colon length,and decreased disease activity index and spleen weight.It exhibited anti-inflammatory activity against DSS induced ulcerative colitis in mice by reducing the activities of myeloperoxidase,tumor necrosis factor-α,nuclear factor-κB,IL-1β,cyclooxygenase-2,matrix metalloproteinases-9,IL-6,and inducible nitric oxide synthase.Conclusions:Ferruginol could be used to treat ulcerative colitis by attenuating the inflammation in colon cells and maintaining colonic mucosal barrier integrity.展开更多
BACKGROUND Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma(MPM)originates from the mesothelial and subcutaneous cells of the abdominal cavity.Its diagnose is difficult due to its nonspecific and vague symptoms,and it should be diff...BACKGROUND Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma(MPM)originates from the mesothelial and subcutaneous cells of the abdominal cavity.Its diagnose is difficult due to its nonspecific and vague symptoms,and it should be differentiated from alcoholic cirrhosis and liver and pancreatic cancers.Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis can easily occur when MPM presents with other diseases.To the best of our knowledge,no case of MPM concurrent with alcoholic cirrhosis has been reported.CASE SUMMARY A 63-year-old man presented to our hospital with abdominal distension for 20days.He had a history of alcohol consumption for nearly 30 years and no history of special drug use or toxic exposure.After treatment for alcoholic cirrhosis in a community hospital,his symptoms did not improve significantly.The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and surgical resection.Pathologic examination showed an epithelioid MPM.He was treated with chemotherapy and intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion after surgery.Currently,he is in a stable condition and tumor recurrence has not occurred.CONCLUSION Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of MPM can easily occur because of its insidious onset.Therefore,there is a need to understand.MPM in clinical practice,make the correct diagnosis,and provide timely and effective treatment.展开更多

We consider a cylindri...The shear-horizontal(SH) waves excited by the shear source in a borehole are easy to analyze due to the simple waveform. The borehole-side structures make the formation properties discontinuous. We consider a cylindrical double layer structure and study the borehole shear-horizontal and transverse-electric(SH-TE) seismoelectric waves. We first derive the expressions of the basic field quantities, and simulate the acoustic field and electric field using the real axis integral method. Compared with the wave fields of an infinitely homogeneous porous medium outside the borehole, the cylindrical layered structure makes the multi-mode cylindrical Love waves and their accompanying electric fields excited.Next, in order to study the interface response law of the inducing electric fields, we use the secant integral method to calculate the interface converted electromagnetic waves and analyze the causes of each component. It is found that an interface response occurs each time the SH wave impinges the interface in the layered porous medium. The results show that the SH-TE mode has a potential application for borehole-side interface detection in geophysical logs.展开更多

In this paper,using theαparticle preformation probabilities Pαfrom Xu et al.[Xu and Ren,Nucl.Phys.A 760,303(2005)],which were extracted by fitting experimental half-lives ofαdecay,based on a phenomenological harmon...In this paper,using theαparticle preformation probabilities Pαfrom Xu et al.[Xu and Ren,Nucl.Phys.A 760,303(2005)],which were extracted by fitting experimental half-lives ofαdecay,based on a phenomenological harmonic oscillator potential model(HOPM)[Bayrak,J Phys G 47,025102(2020)],refitting 178αdecay half-lives of even-even nuclei obtained from the latest nuclear property table NUBASE2020,we obtain the only one adjustable parameter V0-162.6 MeV in the HOPM,i.e.,the depth of nuclear potential.The corresponding root-mean-square(rms)deviation isσ-0.322.Furthermore,to consider the contribution of centrifugal potential to unfavoredαdecay half-lives,adding a new term■(d and l are the adjustable parameter and orbital angular momentum carried away by emittedαparticle)to the logarithmic form of favoredαdecay half-lives under the HOPM framework,we propose an improved simple model(ISM)for calculating favored and unfavoredαdecay half-lives.Fitting the experimental half-lives of 205 unfavoredαdecay,we obtain d-0.381.The ISM is used to calculate the unfavoredαdecay half-lives of 128 odd-A and 77 odd-odd nuclei.The results improve by 54.2%and 53.6%,respectively,compared with HOPM.In addition,we extend the ISM to predict theαdecay half-lives of 144 nuclei with Z=117,118,119,and 120.For comparison,the improved model with eight parameters(DUR)proposed by Deng et al.[Deng,Phys.Rev.C 101,034307(2020)]and the modified universal decay law(MUDL)proposed by Soylu et al.[Soylu,Nucl.Phys.A 1013,122221(2021)]are also used.The predictions of these models and/or formulas are generally consistent with each other.展开更多

文摘Objective:To assess the anti-inflammatory efficacy of ferruginol on dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)stimulated ulcerative colitis mice.Methods:Ulcerative colitis was induced in C57 BL/6 J mice by administering 2%of DSS through drinking water for 7 d.The mice in the treatment group were treated with DAA+50 mg/kg/day ferruginol orally.In the positive control group,sulfasalazine(50 mg/kg/day)was used alongside with DSS.After induction,the bodyweight,character of stool and feces occult blood were recorded daily,the disease activity index was calculated,and the colon length,colon weight,and spleen weight were recorded.The myeloperoxidase activity was assayed by spectrophotometry.Interleukin(IL)-6,IL-1β,and tumor necrosis factor-αwere determined by ELISA method,and nuclear factor-κB,cyclooxygenase-2,matrix metalloproteinases-9,and inducible nitric oxide synthase by Western blotting assays.Results:Ferruginol significantly increased the bodyweight,colon weight,colon length,and decreased disease activity index and spleen weight.It exhibited anti-inflammatory activity against DSS induced ulcerative colitis in mice by reducing the activities of myeloperoxidase,tumor necrosis factor-α,nuclear factor-κB,IL-1β,cyclooxygenase-2,matrix metalloproteinases-9,IL-6,and inducible nitric oxide synthase.Conclusions:Ferruginol could be used to treat ulcerative colitis by attenuating the inflammation in colon cells and maintaining colonic mucosal barrier integrity.

文摘BACKGROUND Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma(MPM)originates from the mesothelial and subcutaneous cells of the abdominal cavity.Its diagnose is difficult due to its nonspecific and vague symptoms,and it should be differentiated from alcoholic cirrhosis and liver and pancreatic cancers.Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis can easily occur when MPM presents with other diseases.To the best of our knowledge,no case of MPM concurrent with alcoholic cirrhosis has been reported.CASE SUMMARY A 63-year-old man presented to our hospital with abdominal distension for 20days.He had a history of alcohol consumption for nearly 30 years and no history of special drug use or toxic exposure.After treatment for alcoholic cirrhosis in a community hospital,his symptoms did not improve significantly.The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and surgical resection.Pathologic examination showed an epithelioid MPM.He was treated with chemotherapy and intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion after surgery.Currently,he is in a stable condition and tumor recurrence has not occurred.CONCLUSION Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of MPM can easily occur because of its insidious onset.Therefore,there is a need to understand.MPM in clinical practice,make the correct diagnosis,and provide timely and effective treatment.

文摘The shear-horizontal(SH) waves excited by the shear source in a borehole are easy to analyze due to the simple waveform. The borehole-side structures make the formation properties discontinuous. We consider a cylindrical double layer structure and study the borehole shear-horizontal and transverse-electric(SH-TE) seismoelectric waves. We first derive the expressions of the basic field quantities, and simulate the acoustic field and electric field using the real axis integral method. Compared with the wave fields of an infinitely homogeneous porous medium outside the borehole, the cylindrical layered structure makes the multi-mode cylindrical Love waves and their accompanying electric fields excited.Next, in order to study the interface response law of the inducing electric fields, we use the secant integral method to calculate the interface converted electromagnetic waves and analyze the causes of each component. It is found that an interface response occurs each time the SH wave impinges the interface in the layered porous medium. The results show that the SH-TE mode has a potential application for borehole-side interface detection in geophysical logs.

文摘BACKGROUND Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome(PRES)is a neuroimaging-based syndrome and is associated with multifocal vasogenic cerebral edema.Patients with PRES frequently demonstrate headache,seizure,encephalopathy,altered mental function,visual loss and so on.We here report a patient who showed persistent neurologic deficits after PRES and was ultimately diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis(AE).CASE SUMMARY This case exhibits a rare imaging manifestation of anti-casper 2 encephalitis which was initially well-matched with PRES and associated vasogenic edema.CONCLUSION AE should be further considered when the etiology,clinical manifestations,and course of PRES are atypical.

文摘In this paper,using theαparticle preformation probabilities Pαfrom Xu et al.[Xu and Ren,Nucl.Phys.A 760,303(2005)],which were extracted by fitting experimental half-lives ofαdecay,based on a phenomenological harmonic oscillator potential model(HOPM)[Bayrak,J Phys G 47,025102(2020)],refitting 178αdecay half-lives of even-even nuclei obtained from the latest nuclear property table NUBASE2020,we obtain the only one adjustable parameter V0-162.6 MeV in the HOPM,i.e.,the depth of nuclear potential.The corresponding root-mean-square(rms)deviation isσ-0.322.Furthermore,to consider the contribution of centrifugal potential to unfavoredαdecay half-lives,adding a new term■(d and l are the adjustable parameter and orbital angular momentum carried away by emittedαparticle)to the logarithmic form of favoredαdecay half-lives under the HOPM framework,we propose an improved simple model(ISM)for calculating favored and unfavoredαdecay half-lives.Fitting the experimental half-lives of 205 unfavoredαdecay,we obtain d-0.381.The ISM is used to calculate the unfavoredαdecay half-lives of 128 odd-A and 77 odd-odd nuclei.The results improve by 54.2%and 53.6%,respectively,compared with HOPM.In addition,we extend the ISM to predict theαdecay half-lives of 144 nuclei with Z=117,118,119,and 120.For comparison,the improved model with eight parameters(DUR)proposed by Deng et al.[Deng,Phys.Rev.C 101,034307(2020)]and the modified universal decay law(MUDL)proposed by Soylu et al.[Soylu,Nucl.Phys.A 1013,122221(2021)]are also used.The predictions of these models and/or formulas are generally consistent with each other.

文摘In this study,considering the modified preformation probability P_(c)to be log_(10)P_(c)=(A_(c)−1)/3log_(10)P_(α)+c′,where P_(α)and c′are theα-particle preformation probability and an adjustable parameter proposed by Wang et al.[Chin.Phys.C 45,044111(2021)],respectively,we extend a new simple model put forward by Bayrak[J.Phys.G 47,025102(2020)]to systematically study the cluster radioactivity half-lives of 28 trans-lead nuclei ranging from^(222)Fr to^(242)Cm,which is based on the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation and Bohr–Sommerfeld quantization condition.For comparison,a universal decay law proposed by Qi et al.[Phys.Rev.C 80,044326(2009)],a three-parameter model-independent formula put forward by Balasubramaniam et al.[Phys.Rev.C 70,017301(2004)],and the semi-empirical model proposed by Tavares et al.[Eur.Phys.J.A 49,1(2013)]are used.Our calculated results reproduce the experimental data well,with a standard deviation of 0.818.Furthermore,we use this model to predict the cluster radioactivity half-lives of 51 possible cluster radioactive candidates whose cluster radioactivities are energetically allowed or observed but not yet quantified in NUBASE2020.

文摘We derive a more generally parameterized post-post-Newtonian solution for the light propagation in the gravitational field of one spherically-symmetric body.Based on the solution for the light velocity,we give the formula of the light deflection when both the emitter and receiver are located in the regions far away from the body,which is the most important scenario in the real applications.Our results can be applied to more metric theories of gravitation.
