Hydrogen was a key factor resulting in stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of X80 pipeline steel in Ku'erle soil simulated solution. In this article, the effect of hydrogen on the SCC susceptibility of X80 steel was investigated further by slow strain rate tensile test, the surface fractures were observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the fracture mechanism of SCC was discussed. The results indicate that hydrogen increases the SCC susceptibility. The SEM micrographs of hydrogen precharged samples presents a brittle quasi-cleavage feature, and pits facilitate the transgranular crack initiation. In the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurement, the decreased polarization resistance and the pitting resistance of samples with hydrogen indicate that hydrogen increases the dissolution rate and deteriorates the pitting corrosion resistance. The potentiodynamic polarization curves present that hydrogen also accelerates the dissolution rate of the crack tip. 展开更多

Grain refinement can strengthen the mechanical properties of materials according to the classical Hall-Petch relationship but does not always result in better corrosion resistance.During the past few decades,various techniques have been dedicated to refining grain,along with relevant studies on corrosion behavior,including general corrosion,pitting corrosion,and stress corrosion cracking.However,the funda-mental consensus on how grain size influences corrosion behavior has not been reached.This paper reviews existing literature on the beneficial and detrimental effects of grain refinement on corrosion behavior.Moreover,the effects of microstructural changes(i.e.,grain boundary,dislo-cation,texture,residual stress,impurities,and second phase)resulting from grain refinement on corrosion behavior are discussed.The grain re-finement not only has an impact on the corrosion performance,but also results in microstructural changes that have a non-negligible effect on corrosion behavior or even outweigh that of grain refinement.Grain size is not the only factor affecting the corrosion behavior of metallic ma-terials;thus,the overall influence of microstructures on corrosion behavior should be understood. 展开更多

The high strength martensite steels are widely used in aerospace,ocean engineering,etc.,due to their high strength,good ductility and acceptable corrosion resistance.This paper provides a review for the influence of microstructure on corrosion behavior of high strength martensite steels.Pitting is the most common corrosion type of high strength stainless steels,which always occurs at weak area of passive film such as inclusions,carbide/intermetallic interfaces.Meanwhile,the chromium carbide precipitations in the martensitic lath/prior austenite boundaries always result in intergranular corrosion.The precipitation,dislocation and grain/lath boundary are also used as crack nucleation and hydrogen traps,leading to hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking for high strength martensite steels.Yet,the retained/reversed austenite has beneficial effects on the corrosion resistance and could reduce the sensitivity of stress corrosion cracking for high strength martensite steels.Finally,the corrosion mechanisms of additive manufacturing high strength steels and the ideas for designing new high strength martensite steel are explored. 展开更多

The passivation process of X80 pipeline steel in bicarbonate solutions was investigated using potentiodynamic, dynamic electro-chemical impedance spectroscopy (DEIS), and Mott-Schottky measurements. The results show that the shape of polarization curves changes with concentration. The critical 'passive' concentration is 0.009 mol/L for X80 pipeline steel in bicarbonate solutions. No anodic current peak exists in solutions when the concentration is lower than 0.009 mol/L, whereas there are one and two anodic current peaks when the concentration ranges from 0.009 to 0.05 mol/L and is higher than 0.1 mol/L, respectively. DEIS measurements show that there exist active dissolution range, transition range, pre-passive range, passive layer formation range, passive range, and trans-passive range for X80 pipeline steel in the 0.1 mol/L solutions. The results of DEIS measurements are in complete agreement with the potentiodynamic diagram. An equivalent circuit containing three sub-layers is used to explain the Nyquist plots in the passive range. Analyses are well made for explaining the corresponding fitted capacitance and impedance. The Mott-Schottky plots show that the passive film of X80 pipeline steel is an n-type semiconductor, and capacitance measurements are in good accordance with the results of DEIS experiment. 展开更多

Susceptibilities to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of X80 pipeline steel in high pH solutions with various concentrations of HC03 at a passive potential of-0.2 V vs. SCE were investigated by slow strain rate tensile (SSRT) test. The SCC mechanism and the effect of HC03 were discussed with the aid of electrochemical techniques. It is indicated that X80 steel shows enhunced susceptibility to SCC with the concentration of HCO3 increasing from 0.15 to 1.00 mol/L, and the susceptibility can be evaluated in terms of current density at -0.2 V vs. SCE. The SCC behavior is controlled by the dissolution-based mechanism in these circumstances. Increasing the concentration of HCO3 not only increases the risk of rupture of passive films but also promotes the anodic dissolution of crack tips. Besides, little susceptibility to SCC is found in dilute solution containing 0.05 mol/L HCO3 for X80 steel. This can be attributed to the inhibited repassivation of passive films, manifesting as a more intensive dissolution in the non-crack tip areas than at the crack tips. 展开更多

A chitosan (CS)-based low-pH-sensitive intelligent corrosion inhibitor was prepared by loading a pH-sensitive hydrogel with benzotriazole (BTA); the pH-sensitive hydrogel was synthetized by crosslinking CS with glutaraldehyde (GTA). Analysis by Fou- tier-transform inflared (FT-IR) spectroscopy showed that Schiff reactions occurred between amino and aldehyde groups. The swelling abil- ity of the hydrogel was investigated using a mass method, and it was observed to swell more in an acidic environment than in an alkaline en- vironment. The hydrogel's loading capacity of BTA was approximately 0.377 g·g ^-1, and its release speed was faster in an acidic environment than in an alkaline environment because of its swelling behavior. The corrosion inhibition ability of the intelligent inhibitor was tested by immersion and electrochemical methods. The results showed that after 4 h of immersion, the polarization resistance (Rp) value of copper with the intelligent inhibitor was approximately twice of that of copper with BTA, indicating that the intelligent inhibitor could effectively prevent copper from corroding. 展开更多

The corrosion behavior and mechanism of hot-dip galvanized steel and interstitial-free (IF) substrate with alkaline mud adhesion were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear polarization. The results show that non-uniform corrosion occurs on the galvanized steel and IF substrate during 250 h with the mud adhesion. The corrosion products on the galvanized steel are very loose and porous, which are mainly ZnO, Zn5(OH)8C12·H2O and Zn(OH)2, and Fe-Zn alloy layer with a lower corrosion rate is exposed on the galvanized steel surface; however, the corrosion products on IF substrate are considerably harder and denser, whose compositions of rust are mainly FeOOH and Fe3O4, and several pits appear on their surface. The results of continuous EIS and linear polarization measurements exhibit a corrosion mechanism, that is, under activation control, the charge transfer resistances present different tendencies between the galvanized steel and IF substrate; in addition, the evolution of linear polarization resistances is similar to that of charge transfer resistances. The higher contents of dissolved oxygen and Cl^- ions in the mud play an important role in accelerating the corrosion. 展开更多

A rectangle crevice assembly was used to study the effects of cathodic protection (CP) potential, crevice thickness, holiday size, bubbling CO2, and surface condition on the chemical and electrochemical environment of the local solution under disbonded coatings. It is found that the cathodic protection removes dissolved oxygen from the crevice and thus shifts the solution to a more al- kaline state. Furthermore, the potential of the steel reaches the protected potential range. The available protection distance increases with the negative applying potential. The steady potential and pH distribution are easily achieved, but the polarization degree is not satisfied within the thinner crevice. The difference in the solution environment is found to correlate to the holiday size. The smaller the holiday, the smaller the difference is. The presence of CO2 inhibits the formation of an alkaline environment. It is also found that the rust layer dramatically decreases the polarization rate in the crevice. 展开更多

Based on the grey incidence analysis, this paper studies the correlation coefficient between the clearing price and bidding price with the generation cost, the supervision and rules of the market, the supply and demand situation, the behavior of market members over the same period, which is based on the actual data of the trans-provincial centralized trading market of East China Power Grid. The results show that the factors affecting the clearing price and bidding price from largest to smallest are generation cost, supervision and rules of the market, the supply and demand situation, the behavior of market members. The conclusion is that the trans-provincial trading platform of East China Power Grid is a reasonable regional market which can discover the market cost, and regulate the market supply and demand balance, and promote healthy competition. 展开更多

In this paper a novel cost function based on the relationship between operation cost of unit and generation load rate is employed in an agent-based model of Trans-provincial Centralized Bidding Trading Market of East China Grid. Simulation results are compared to real data to prove that the model is correct. Further analysis on simulation results point out the way to achieve an all-win game for power market members: generation companies improve their average load rates of the units by selling their electricity in the market, which makes units' cost drop and settlement price stay lower than benchmark price. Consequently electricity-demand provinces saved expenses, and units increase their profits. In conclusion, the trans-provincial electricity market of East China Power Grid is a successive case which improves the efficiency of the electricity industry by market-oriented measures. 展开更多

Objective:To study the effect of hydromorphone applied in the gynecological laparoscopic operation and analyze its effect on the hemodynamics and inflammatory cytokines.Methods: A total of 170 patients who were underwent selective gynecological laparoscopic operation under general anesthesia were included in the study and randomized into the observation group (n=85) and the control group (n=85). On the basis of routine anesthesia, the patients in the observation group were given hydromorphone, while the patients in the control group were given fentanyl. The hemodynamic changes in different timing points in the two groups were observed and compared. The levels of serum inflammatory cytokines and stress reaction indicators in the two groups were detected and compared.Results: HR, SBP, and MAP at T2 in the observation group were significantly reduced when compared with at T1, those at T3 were recovered to levels at T1. HR, SBP, and MAP at T2 and T3 in the control group were significantly reduced, and those were significantly lower than those in the observation group. IL-6, IL-10, and TNF-α levels 24 h after anesthesia in the two groups were significantly elevated when compared with before anesthesia. IL-10 level in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, while IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly lower than those in the control group. CRP, FC, A, and NE levels 24 h after anesthesia in the two groups were significantly reduced, and those in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group.Conclusions: Hydromorphone applied in the gynecological laparoscopic operation will not produce great effect on the hemodynamics, with small stress reaction and mild inflammatory reaction;therefore, it is more beneficial for the postoperative recovery. 展开更多

The passive film formed on 2205 duplex stainless steel(DSS) in 0.5 M NaHCO3+0.5 M NaCl aqueous solution was characterized by electrochemical measurements,including potentiodynamic anodic polarization and dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(DEIS).The results demonstrate that there is a great difference between the passive film evolutions of ferrite and austenite.The impedance values of ferrite are higher than those of austenite.The impedance peaks of ferritic and austenitic phases correspond to the potential of 0.15 and 0.25 V in the low potential range and correspond to 0.8 and 0.75 V in the high potential range.The evolutions of the capacitance of both phases are reverse compared to the evolutions of impedance.The thickness variations obtained from capacitance agree well with those of impedance analysis.The results can be used to explain why pitting corrosion occurs more easily in austenite phase than in ferrite phase. 展开更多

The effects of chromium on the corrosion and the electrochemical behaviors of ultra high strength steels were studied by the salt spray test and electrochemical methods. The results show that ultra high strength steels remain martensite structures and have anodic dissolution characteristic with an increase of chromium content. There is no typical passive region on the polarization curves of an ultra high strength stainless steel, AerMet 100 steel, and 300M steel. However, chromium improves the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel remarkably. It has the slowest corrosion rate in the salt spray test, one order of magnitude less than that of AerMet 100 and 300M steels. With the increase of chromium content, the polarization resistance becomes larger, the corrosion potential shifts towards the positive direction with a value of 545 mV, and the corrosion current density decreases in electrochemical measures in 3.5wt% NaCl solutions. Because of the higher content of chromium, the ultra high strength stainless steel has a better corrosion resistance than AerMet 100 and 300M steels. 展开更多

The corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys 1060 and 2A12 in a 10 mM Na2SO4+5 mM KI solution was investigated by scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The potential topography and corrosion morphology results show that the potential of the sample surface over the same area changes with the increase of immersion time. The corrosion area becomes large, and the potential becomes more negative. The corrosion potential of the 2A12 alloy surface is lower than that of 1060 aluminum, and 2A12 alloy becomes easily corrosive. This is the reason that preferential dissolution in the boundary region of some intermetallic particles (IMPs) occurs and different dissolution behaviors are associated with different types of IMPs because of different potentials. 展开更多

Accelerated corrosion tests of the 7005-T4 aluminum alloy were conducted to determine a suitable service life prediction method by using alternating wet–dry cycles in three kinds of solutions. The morphology and composition analysis of the corrosion product revealed that slight corrosion occurred on the surfaces of the samples immersed in a 0.25 wt% Na_2S_2O_8 solution. However, pitting corrosion occurred on the surfaces of the samples immersed in a 3.5 wt% NaCl solution, whereas exfoliation corrosion occurred on the surfaces of the samples immersed in a mixture of 0.25 wt% Na_2S_2O_8 and 3.5 wt% NaCl solutions. A power exponent relationship was observed between the mass loss and exposure time of the 7005-T4 aluminum alloy immersed in the three kinds of solutions. In the mixture of 0.25 wt% Na_2S_2O_8 and 3.5 wt% NaCl solutions, the mass loss of the aluminum alloy yielded the maximum value. Based on the calculation of the correlation coefficients, the alternating wet–dry procedure in a 3.5 wt% NaCl solution could be used to predict the corrosion behavior of 7005-T4 aluminum alloy exposed in the atmosphere of Qingdao, China. The prediction model is as follows: T = 104.28×t^(0.91), where T is the equivalent time and t is the exposure time. 展开更多

We investigated the effect of nanosized NbC precipitates on hydrogen-induced cracking(HIC)of high-strength low-alloy steel by conducting slow-strain-rate tensile tests(SSRT)and performing continuous hydrogen charging and fracture analysis.The results reveal that the HIC resistance of Nb-bearing steel is obviously superior to that of Nb-free steel,with the fractured Nb-bearing steel in the SSRT exhibiting a smaller ratio of elongation reduction(Iδ).However,as the hydrogen traps induced by NbC precipitates approach hydrogen saturation,the effect of the precipitates on the HIC resistance attenuate.We speculate that the highly dispersed nanosized NbC precipitates act as irreversible hydrogen traps that hinder the accumulation of hydrogen at potential crack nucleation sites.In addition,much like Nb-free steel,the Nb-bearing steel exhibits both H-solution strengthening and the resistance to HIC. 展开更多

High-temperature oxidation is a common failure in high-temperature environments,which widely occur in aircraft engines and aerospace thrusters;as a result,the development of anti-high-temperature oxidation materials has been pursued.Ni-based alloys are a common high-temperature material;however,they are too expensive.High-entropy alloys are alternatives for the anti-oxidation property at high temperatures because of their special structure and properties.The recent achievements of high-temperature oxidation are reviewed in this paper.The high-temperature oxidation environment,temperature,phase structure,alloy elements,and preparation methods of high-entropy alloys are summarized.The reason why high-entropy alloys have anti-oxidation ability at high temperatures is illuminated.Current research,material selection,and application prospects of high-temperature oxidation are introduced. 展开更多
